QUESTIONNAIRE
RIGHT TO LIFE
Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not be a resource for instruction or services in the school.
Strongly Agree
Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?
In the very unusually rare circumstance where the mother's health and life are at risk, however all attempts to save both mother and baby should be made prior to this.
ECONOMY
It is the government’s responsibility to ensure everyone has a livable income.
Disagree
I believe in instilling work ethic, independence and perseverance among our society and believe in equal opportunities instead of equal outcomes. By rapidly and artificially inflating the minimum wage, the opposite intended effect happens and it decreases the number of entry level jobs.
What is your position on government funding of public education from Pre-K through college?
It is important to lobby the legislature to fix the current school finance formula (TEEOSA) so that school funding is fair and fiscally responsible.
RELIGIOUS LIBERTY
Governments should define marriage as between one man and one woman; no other definition of marriage should be legalized or supported with taxpayer or public funds.
Neutral
I believe people within the LGBTQ+ community should have the liberty to be in partnerships and their partners be recognized as family, however I personally maintain traditional values.
The Ten Commandments should not be displayed in public school buildings or court houses.
Disagree
This is a city, county, community decision and should be made collaboratively
At school, students should be able to speak freely and civilly about matters of conscience and faith, including Christianity.
Strongly Agree
NATIONAL SECURITY
The best way to maintain peace is through a strong military.
Neutral
Not applicable to my position.
EDUCATION
Every state should mandate K-12 standardized tests and the use of teaching software which aligns with Common Core standards.
Disagree
Standardized tests have their place to provide benchmarks but shouldn't be relied upon as the only diagnostic measure. I answered disagree because of the part of this statement that includes Common Core.
Parents are the ultimate authority in their child’s education and should be able to freely pursue whatever educational options they deem best for their child.
Strongly Agree
Before students are taught courses such as Comprehensive Sex Ed (CSE) or Social Emotional Learning (SEL), they must opt-in with written parental permission.
Strongly Agree
Absolutely. I also think parents should have access to the the full curricula the school is choosing to use so they can look it over in its entirety and see if it is something they want for their children.
I support the teaching of curricula (such as the 1619 Project, No Place for Hate, Second Step, etc.) that emphasizes slavery and racism as the foundation of American history.
Strongly Disagree
The loss of local control in education is too high a price to pay in exchange for federal dollars.
Strongly Agree
We need to put our local communities and their educational needs first and not be swayed by monetary incentives by the federal government.
VALUES
Judeo-Christian values established a framework of morality that is necessary for our system of limited government.
Agree
I support allowing public high school students to participate in athletic competition based on the gender with which they identify instead of biological sex.
Strongly Disagree
Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.
I grew up in the Catholic faith and now attend a non-denominational church strongly rooted in the bible with my family. I value integrity, honesty, and helping others through simple ways of serving during Cthis busy season in my life (i.e., donating hygiene items and making sandwiches for YES, cooking meals for friends in times of need, Operation Christmas Child & donating clothing and household items to Open Door Mission).
No healthcare diagnosis or treatment, whether mental, reproductive, or otherwise, should be given to a child without first receiving written consent from the parent.
Strongly Agree
Absolutely. Children under the age of 18 have not grown into a fully developed brain, in fact, most brains are not fully developed until the age of 23. We have the legal age of an adult as 18 for similar thinking. Parental consent is a must until they are 18.

Have you ever been convicted of a felony or been penalized in either civil or criminal court for sexual misconduct? If so, please explain.
No
What books have had the most profound impact on your view of life?
The Holy Bible, Siddartha, Resisting Happiness, Tuesdays with Morrie, Carry On Warrior
Is there anything else you would like voters to know about you?
As a licensed massage therapist, boundaries and ethics are very important and go hand-in-hand with keeping an active license and establishing trust with clients. This can translate into my position as an elected member of the State Board of Education because I will stay within the bounds of the State Board of Education's duties of forming policy for math, social studies, language arts, and science. I will also work to mend the broken trust that was created by the State Board of Education members of 2021. This state board of education race is especially critical because it will either keep Nebraska going on a downward spiral of even lower proficiency scores, more teachers leaving education, more frivolous spending of our taxpaying dollars OR the outcome of this race can help Nebraska right the ship. Please vote to help unify the state on all issues concerning the education of our children.
I voted in these primaries and general elections:
2016 General Election 2018 General Election 2020 General Election
2ND AMENDMENT
Teachers who are licensed to carry should be allowed to carry guns at school.
Neutral
This is something that needs to be decided on a local level among school board members, teachers, and the community
OTHER IMPORTANT ISSUES
Do you support mandatory vaccinations for children attending public school?
I do not believe in mandatory anything in regards to health. Every family should have the ability to have informed consent and weigh the benefits and the risks for their families and decide accordingly.
I support mask mandates.
Strongly Disagree
