RIGHT TO LIFE
Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?
If the life of the mother is in imminent danger... Prolife is the protection of ALL HUMAN life not just the life that has no voice.
Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).
Strongly Agree
Since the current funding method is one lump sum then the answer is a whole heartedly NO.
I support 'aid in dying' laws which legalize assisted suicide and euthanasia.
Neutral
I have seen the horrors of terminal illness' that quality of life was pure torture, I've also seen miracles where all hope was lost and things changed for the better. No government should dictate medical events. Oversight yes but if the people call for a service then let the will of the people stand.
ECONOMY
What changes, if any, should be made to the tax code?
There is always room for improvement, I believe improvements would warrant input from Floridians, Businesses and community groups along with the legislature. Comprehensive tax code has to have all elements of society input for it to be functional.
What government spending would you reduce in order to balance the budget?
I agree with most of what was passed I would reduce the inflation response amount from 2 Billion to 1.5 Billion and use the 500Million to create a state wide Volunteer merit system for All Law enforcement/ First Responders to have a chance to participate in. The system is a reward system that an officer/ First responder or Precinct can earn merits that can be exchanged for monetary rewards. Tiered reward system to include department heads also earning merits by how many staff members are recognized for exceptional work. Communities can submit for requests by their local precinct to give volunteer work that needs to be done. For example: Off duty officer at a soccer game, On duty officer checks in with a member of their community route for wellness check. There are a numerous things our Police/ Corrections and First responders do every day that is exceptional. Florida has a chance to lead in recognition for good police officers/ First Responder rescue work. It's way over due the pay reflects for those who are exceptional at their job. Changing the current culture to a rewards with recognition will also encourage new and seasoned rank and file to look for ways to be exceptional. Additionally the community would know publicly who volunteered to do more than what was required. Community engagement would foster partnerships and solutions by departments working with the communities they serve on an additional platform not seen before. Merchandise can be sold to the general public of their favorite local hero to help fund this program. Back the blue merch... Officer Smith supporter and the like. Florida can lead in pay instead of being below average. The US median for pay is $55K... We start at $41. There is a shortage of officers in our state this would fill that gap as well. Those smaller Precincts would be ideal as well where it would be easier to shine through community engagement.
Taxpayer-funded public education should be guaranteed through college.
Agree
Only through an Associates Degree would make sense at this time. There are plenty of ways to continue education past an associates without it being a burden on society at large.
RELIGIOUS LIBERTY
Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.
Disagree
Business open to the general public must follow all laws governed where they live. They also need to display expectations. Individuals who are in a private settings or business must choose a job that follows their beliefs. No government employee should site religion for how they proceed on the day to day at a job that is paid by the general public. A clear separation of Church and State is imperative in order to respect all religions not just some.
Under what circumstances can government close churches?
If there is found to be physical and mental harm to children.
HEALTHCARE
What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D)Tax-payer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be de-funded.
The affordable care act has provided families who work but do not have healthcare through their employer a way to have insurance. Medicaid often ensures disabled and the elderly continue to be cared for. Private insurance is for everyone else. B would be the closes. The opportunity to be healthy keeps our economy running smooth without undue burden on the general population. With out multiple options, hospitals end up with exorbitant costs causing shutdowns in the communities that need them most.
Under what circumstances (if any) should a government, school, or employer be allowed to require vaccinations?
Other than the decades established vaccines we already have like small pox for public schools etc...I would say NONE. Families need to make their own healthcare choices. Medical decisions need to be left with the families and their physicians.
NATIONAL SECURITY
What should the United States do to help eradicate the threat of Islamic terrorism?
The question does not cover there is more than Islamic terrorism... We have the patriot act which gives our government wide range of resources to protect ALL enemies foreign and domestic. States need to better partner with ICE and Homeland security to close any gaps there maybe. Here in Florida I would like to see our National Guard and Coast Guard have units either added or enlarged to address all people within our state that have not followed or complied with the law to be here in the first place.
I support the Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement to pressure Israel to withdraw from occupied territories, remove the separation barrier in the West Bank, allow full equality for Arab-Palestinian citizens of Israel, and promote the rights of Palestinian refugees.
Neutral
The politics of Israel is very complex. Without more discussion from the people who live there it would be presumptuous to have an opinion at this time
IMMIGRATION
The U.S. should do more to physically secure the southern border.
Strongly Agree
Congress has continued to not address the laws and ordinances that govern entry into the United States. Immigration laws need to be stream lined and rewritten to address the modern problems of 2022.
Who should be allowed to immigrate to the U.S. and under what circumstances?
The criteria should be simple, The country of origin has to be stable and an economic partner to the US already. Exceptions can always be made with a thorough evaluation but the bare minimum is come from a partnering nation. We need inventors, Business owners, and those who would contribute to our society.
EDUCATION
I support school choice, including voucher programs, tax credits, charter schools, private schools, and home schools.
Strongly Agree
During my grade school education I went to a private Christian school This allowed my home beliefs to be practiced while at school. Parents need to be able to choose what education best fits their family values. Choice is freedom. The more options the better.
VALUES
Judeo-Christian values established a framework of morality which is necessary for our system of limited government.
Disagree
Although Christianity is the primary beliefs system of our modern citizens our Founding Fathers Washington, Jefferson, Franklin, Madison and Monroe practice a faith called Deism. Our own constitution in the First Amendment express that congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion. Although our beliefs builds into each of our character as individuals. We can not have a healthy democracy or true freedoms if ALL laws are based on the individuals religious beliefs.
I support adding gender identity as a specially protected class in non-discrimination laws.
Neutral
The people should decide this through their congressional representative.
Marriage is a God-ordained, sacred and legal union of one man and one woman. No government has the authority to alter this definition
Neutral
The word "marriage" for generations has referred to a man and woman entering into a family union or civil union. With or without a religious umbrella. In 2015 the supreme court ruled it is a fundamental right for two consenting adults to marry regardless of gender. Rights granted by supreme court are always an interpretation of the law and is subject to be reversed. Technically language evolves over time and so do definition of words.
I agree with Critical Race Theory (CRT) which asserts that the institutions in the United States are fundamentally racist.
Disagree
CRT is a subject that explores laws written to affect different groups in different ways. (I.E.- Jim Crow laws) It was a theory created in Harvard to see over time unintended consequences of how laws are written may affect particular groups. The curriculum it self has no sway one way or another it's the individual that makes an assessment and applies the opinion to it. This is taught in graduate school of law and has to be elected.
Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.
I believe in doing the right thing, to approach any situation with love and understanding. I do not subscribe to a particular faith. I know there is a creator and we must do the will of what's best for all of us. My values are based in Christianity and I accept people for who they are. Being open and honest is important. God and Country at the very core. My beliefs also include loyalty to my country and our Constitution of the United States. All Americans must work together for the greater good of our nation.
ELECTIONS AND VOTING
People should be able to vote without photo identification.
Strongly Disagree
You need photo ID to drive, to buy alcohol, to work, get on a plane, for almost everything. Voting, which is part of how we run our government, should require photo identification without exception.
What laws would you propose to change present voting practices?
We need to enforce the laws we already have. Photo Id , party oversight.. Fortunately Florida leads in Voting integrity.
EQUALITY
Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?
Racism is a form of hate. Hate can be lethal. Too many of those who practice hate are excused as harmless when they are not. It is a belief system whether hate of race, women, children, people, buildings or society. Evil wins when good chooses to do nothing. Families who teach hate of any kind need to be investigated as accomplices for crimes committed. For example a man who hates women is OK with a woman being beaten. Or A person who hates children is ok with trafficking them. If we refuse to address the problem and only treat the symptoms then generationally the harm to society will expand and affect more and more innocent people. If legislation allowed for families to be investigated for indoctrination of hate, which would include possible fines or even misdemeanor as a result, people would be more vigilant in protecting the general public. When Regan initiated the war on drugs it only addressed inner city youth initially. Years later, we are at an unprecedented epidemic of Opioids, meth, pills etc no matter the community. The user back then was often locked up but the family they lived with was never asked any questions. What was the history, what was the mental health. Nothing.. Without addressing the whole picture we now have generations of addicts for all reasons with no end in sight. What was once an inner city problem is now a national problem from the disabled to the most wealthy. There are so many wholes in our medical system and addressing indoctrinated hate is one of them.
Reparations should be given to people on the basis of race.
Neutral
As a society we have yet to address indoctrinated hate. There can be no reparations until the teaching of hate in families is addressed. Blaming video games and tv shows as to why children are enraged enough to harm another person is disingenuous at best. Reality is there are hundreds of families at the dinner table teaching their children to hate other Americans.
ENERGY & ENVIRONMENT
Which comes closest to your view? A) Stricter environmental laws and regulations cost too many jobs and hurt the economy. B) Stricter environmental laws and regulations are worth the cost.
C. Clear guidelines to proceed depending on demographics. We live in an age of technology never seen before. There is NO REASON AT ALL not to be productive AND protect the environment. Many cities around Florida fulfill both jobs and keeping are green spaces.
I support the use of hydraulic fracking to extract oil and natural gas resources.
Agree
The basic Hydraulic Fracking uses sand and pressurized water to create cracks in deep rock to gain access to resources. Here in Florida we have a lot of land with air pockets AKA potential sink holes. In general if it's clean fracking, meaning non poisonous chemicals used during the process maybe plausible. I am reserved about the land and water being protected. I would have to see where this would take place what is the land density etc. Protecting the integrity of the land is a priority.
ABOUT YOU
What do you think is the general purpose of government?
To facilitate the rules of law in order to maintain coexistence during everyday engagement between people.
When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and religious liberty, which of the following best describes you overall?
Lean Conservative
I believe government should be as small as possible. The Constitution is the beliefs system all Americans abide by happily. Remain fiscally conservative and socially liberal.

Have you ever been convicted of a felony or been penalized in either civil or criminal court for sexual misconduct? If so, please explain.
NO
What else would you like voters to know about you, including your legislative priorities?
I have been an advocate for Veterans for more than a decade.
CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY
Police officers should be personally immune from prosecution for conduct consistent with departmental policy (qualified immunity) while on duty.
Strongly Agree
Police officers risks their lives to protect us on a daily basis. They need to be protected.
I support redirecting funds from police departments to mental health and community programs.
Strongly Disagree
Florida can budget for mental health WITHOUT defunding police departments.
2ND AMENDMENT
What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?
Laws are in place as a guideline to interact safely in society. Those who would take advantage of another person have no intention of interacting safely for anyone. Florida needs to be a constitutional carry state. We need to repeal the current red flag law as well. Over 2000 law abiding Floridians have had their home protection removed without the ability to defend claims made against them. A person is guilty first and must prove their innocence after the punishment. Although a few may have been ok with a judge court ordering their home protection to be removed without having a say, we can not ever be ok with any type of government overreach. I believe in due process, the integrity of the Constitution is important to uphold. We currently have a budget to update school safety, we've increased wages for teachers and police officers. There was a lot of good done this last legislative session. Again until we address the actual problems that lead to crime we will continue to have discussions on what to do when tragedy strikes. There's a long list of problems we need to tackle. Adding obstacles or removing protections from families is not the solution.
Victims of gun violence should be able to sue firearms dealers and manufacturers.
Strongly Disagree
People who commit crimes are responsible for what they do not manufacturers. If the product did not work or malfunctioned then they would be responsible for that.
