RIGHT TO LIFE
Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?
As I am not the creator, It is not in my rights to decide who lives and or dies. I am pro life. I will work to fight for those who can’t defend themselves
Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).
Strongly Agree
I cannot support funding of a policy that goes against the moral standard I seek to follow.
If Roe v. Wade is overturned by the US Supreme Court, how far are you willing to go to roll back North Carolina's statutory abortion law that allows abortion up to 20 weeks?
It is my personal heartfelt position that terminating a life is wrong. I cannot support laws or legislation that work against this position. For me abortion at any stage of pregnancy is not justified.
I support 'aid in dying' laws which legalize assisted suicide and euthanasia.
Strongly Disagree
I am aware of cases where a once thought to be terminal patience recovers to live a full life. A policy supporting this action could lead to misuse and unrecoverable loss of life. I have personally experienced too many medical mistakes. Again, I don't think we should attempt to take on the role of our creator. We must be careful as this could lead to legal suicide at any age. We need to address the mental health of patient first.
Would you support a limitation on chemical abortion that protects women from taking abortion pills without the care and supervision of a qualified physician?
No
I cannot support laws and regulation that would allow abortion of any method. The health of the unborn child must be protected.
ECONOMY
The government should do more to close the gap between the working class and the wealthy.
Disagree
as once a member of the blue collar working class, it is not the responsibility of the wealthy to improve my position on the wealth scale. My Wife an I started our family in a single wide mobile home and through hard work and sacrifice we have changed our financial well being dramatically. No handouts, just hard work and sacrifice. It is the only way one appreciates the struggle. I am more than willing to provide direction and assistance as long as their is a plan to terminate the assistance
What changes, if any, should be made to the tax code?
I am not an expert on the tax code at this point. I am confident changes are appropriate. As a small business owner, the burden of taxes result in the elimination or rather cut back on investment in machines and equipment. Investment of existing business should be a primary consideration in the small business taxation model.
Taxpayer-funded public education should be guaranteed through college.
Disagree
College is not a right of the taxpayer. When something is free, it is most often not appreciated and neglected. Not every high school graduate is destined for college. We need to invest in trade school education programs. Our education system needs to get back to the basics Which needs to include love of country practices. Their are too many distractions and we are failing our children.
RELIGIOUS LIBERTY
Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.
Strongly Disagree
this would not be freedom, it would be a dictatorship. America was built on a moral standard which is centered freedom. That means freedom to choose. When government get in the way of that right to choose, then freedom is lost.
Under what circumstances can government close churches?
None
What should be the relationship between the church and the state?
The church should influence the state as it always has in America. The church, under the moral direction of the bible should be free from the state control.
HEALTHCARE
What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D)Tax-payer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be de-funded.
I do not have the answers on healthcare. Its a complex topic. I do believe we need to eliminate the drain on health care cost by removing insurance companies from the formula. I heard of a case this week where an ER visit was billed to the insurance company for $6000. When the patient indicated he was going to pay it himself, the billed dropped to $1400. How does this happen. From a small business perspective, we need to find a way to allow them to provide healthcare at a cost comparable to all North Carolina Participants. It almost impossible to recruit good workers when they can get full coverage health care from the large companies at 1/3 the cost. If small business could do this, they might be in a position to provide full coverage for the employee.
Under what circumstances (if any) should a government, school, or employer be allowed to require vaccinations?
none
EDUCATION
States should allow parents to use the Opportunity Scholarship Program to fund private school for their children.
Agree
this has to have limitations on it. In the extreme case, public schools could be sacrificed leaving substantial investment of tax payer funds idle and students without a viable education option.
In what situations does a parent not have the right to know what their child is being taught in public school?
Never. Parents should be and must be involved in their childrens education,
When should parents be restricted from speaking in school board meetings?
no, unlees an alternate method of communicating with teachers, parents and administrators is developed. Parents must have a way to provide input and directions on the education of their children
VALUES
Judeo-Christian values established a framework of morality which is necessary for our system of limited government.
Strongly Agree
The bible is the blueprint for moral standards of behavior in America.
I support adding gender identity as a specially protected class in non-discrimination laws.
Disagree
difficult question. Morally, I do not feel the gender identity discussion belongs in our schools. It is an indoctrination. Gender Identity has the roots as a choice one makes about who they want to be. It done not appear to be rooted in the human genome. It looks as though it is being used to create a protected class in a system where protection already exist. The issue here is where does it stop? we have a moral standard for our existence and we would be well served to stick to it.
I agree with Critical Race Theory (CRT) which asserts that the institutions in the United States are fundamentally racist.
Strongly Disagree
its looking for an excuse for potential failure. Every child must understand they are good and have every right to work hard and succeed. We must stop looking to find a victim and an oppressor before one even exist. Remember, when you lift one up, by putting another down, you have become what you were fighting against.
Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.
I was raised and continue to be a Christian. I seek the moral standards of Christianity and take that into account on every decision I am faced with. Someday I will stand before our creator, I will be judged. I am not a perfect human being and I am thankful he has not given up on me.
ELECTIONS AND VOTING
People should be able to vote without photo identification.
Strongly Disagree
Everyone in America that is legally here can get an ID. Keep in mind this ID to vote is the same ID they need to cash a check, purchase beer, by cigarettes', get on a plane, ect. It is nothing new. and if someone claims they cannot get an ID, then the state needs to provide one
What laws would you propose to change present voting practices?
Require Voters use their state issued ID to vote, Stop Gerrymandering by judges and let the legislature do its job on voting districts. Provide a infallible method of collecting and counting votes. for example Use fingerprints or retina scans as an ID
EQUALITY
Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?
Racism is a threat to mankind. Racism comes in may forms. In general it is the practice of denying or allowing, access to goods, services, opportunities, votes to be controlled based on the skin color or ethnicity of an individual. Racism and being racist is not limited to any single race. Domestic security is definitely affected and that is evident in the damage and destruction caused by the rioting under the cover and claim of racism.
ENERGY & ENVIRONMENT
Which comes closest to your view? A) Stricter environmental laws and regulations cost too many jobs and hurt the economy. B) Stricter environmental laws and regulations are worth the cost.
A - As governments role is to protect us and our property from each other to avoid chaos, that is what they must focus on. It should operate within the confines of what our constitution directs it to do. Our government ( the employee)continues to overstep its job description and the People ( employer) must hold them accountable and reel them in.
ABOUT YOU
What do you think is the general purpose of government?
To protect us and our property from each other and prevent chaos within the confine of their job description as defined in the constitution.

CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY
Police officers should be personally immune from prosecution for conduct consistent with departmental policy (qualified immunity) while on duty.
Disagree
I agree in principle. I support our police when they act within in the confines of the law, Like in all professions, certain situations call for common sense response that may require a deviation form departmental policy in the interest of public safety. Police need to be trained better in this arena. It is a hard job, i get it, but no one should be exempt from loss of life due to poor judgment.
I support redirecting funds from police departments to mental health and community programs.
Strongly Disagree
I do not support Defunding Police. Crime may in fact be our largest problem in NC.
2ND AMENDMENT
What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?
Increased penalties for crimes comitted with guns. Implement mandatory min sentencing for gun violence. allow citizens that have permits to open carry across the state and state lines. Guns are not the problem, People are. The only deterrent to crime is the consequences.
Victims of gun violence should be able to sue firearms dealers and manufacturers.
Strongly Disagree
guns are not the problem, people and the lack of significant penalties for crimes comitted with guns is the bigger problem
OTHER IMPORTANT ISSUES
Would you support legislation that prohibits biological boys from competing on girls sports teams?
Yes
if people want transgender sports, then they need to create a new league. I don't want my granddaughters competing against boys. its is not a level playing field.
