RIGHT TO LIFE
Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?
Only if pregnancy can cause harm to the mother. We, as a community should educate on the use of condoms and other forms of birth control.
Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).
Strongly Agree
An individual makes a choice in most cases to get pregnant. Both the mother and the father of such birth should be required to support the new life they just created. God has given us this great gift and many women who chose elective termination ultimately regret it.
I support 'aid in dying' laws which legalize assisted suicide and euthanasia.
Strongly Disagree
As a physician, I am for pain management and proper hospice care.
ECONOMY
What changes, if any, should be made to the tax code?
For Florida I am happy that we do not have a state tax. At the national level tax brackets should be lowered to all Americans. It creates more jobs and positively affects the population. There are so few things that DC should do, such as protection of this country with a strong military.
What government spending would you reduce in order to balance the budget?
Interesting question. Just follow the pork spending and you will find out.
Taxpayer-funded public education should be guaranteed through college.
Disagree
Universities should be less expensive, less woke, less liberal. But even with this I am in favor of going to a school that is within your budget, least debt leaving the university. Not all people are cut out for college. I am strongly in favor of trade schools, some of which pay more than a college degree.
RELIGIOUS LIBERTY
Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.
Disagree
They should suggest an alternative service to an individual.
Under what circumstances can government close churches?
Only when the health of its constituents is jeopardized. But remember, in this country many groups try to play God so people have a more difficult time getting to an essential service in their life. Why were temples, mosques excluded for this question.
HEALTHCARE
What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D)Tax-payer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be de-funded.
Answer B. The key is to have two options. Anyone can choose how they want to proceed.
Under what circumstances (if any) should a government, school, or employer be allowed to require vaccinations?
Initial immunizations of children have saved countless lives and boosters should be given. For an adult it is their choice if they want immunizations or not. Freedom of choice.
NATIONAL SECURITY
What should the United States do to help eradicate the threat of Islamic terrorism?
As we say in the military, we take the fight to them. I do not believe that most Americans could stomach a war on terror on US soil for any length of time
I support the Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement to pressure Israel to withdraw from occupied territories, remove the separation barrier in the West Bank, allow full equality for Arab-Palestinian citizens of Israel, and promote the rights of Palestinian refugees.
Strongly Disagree
Israel has a right to protect its sovereignty. If the extreme Islamists would offer a true land for peace deal, which has happened before, then let the negotiations begin. Chanting death to America and Israel is not a step in the right direction. Religious wars have been fought throughout history and probably never stop.
IMMIGRATION
The U.S. should do more to physically secure the southern border.
Strongly Agree
Any country has a right to its sovereign borders or it is not a secure country. The US has had the policy to open our borders to the truly oppressed political victims. Our southern border is a chance for economically disadvantaged individuals to enter illegally. So why not just tell them to return to their countries and demand change whatever the cost. The number of terrorists and drug lords that could make it across the border is staggering. How safe do you feel?
Who should be allowed to immigrate to the U.S. and under what circumstances?
Like any country you wait your turn in line which could some time, we should be able to cherry pick the brightest minds for anyone migrating to this country. Political prisoners in their own country should also be included. Keep our borders secure, determine who we let in. It is OUR country.
EDUCATION
I support school choice, including voucher programs, tax credits, charter schools, private schools, and home schools.
Strongly Agree
Just look what the teachers’ unions have done to our education system. Wokeness, CRT among many others. When will we get back to reading, writing and arithmetic. Our kids are falling behind the rest of the world. So what are we going to do. The ball is in our court.
VALUES
Judeo-Christian values established a framework of morality which is necessary for our system of limited government.
Strongly Agree
It is what this country was founded on. However, all individuals have the right to practice a religion of their choice or no religion at all. It is a free country.
I support adding gender identity as a specially protected class in non-discrimination laws.
Strongly Disagree
What are we doing to this country..destroying it from within. So anyone can claim who they are but no special treatment.
Marriage is a God-ordained, sacred and legal union of one man and one woman. No government has the authority to alter this definition
Strongly Agree
If you believe this statement then no government can alter this. I pray for all individuals and believe that God will make his judgement on all of us because he made all of us. It is for each individual to chose if they were created by God this way or is it a choice. In the end love all and let God do the judging.
I agree with Critical Race Theory (CRT) which asserts that the institutions in the United States are fundamentally racist.
Strongly Disagree
Why don’t we move forward. We are being held back with CRT. Self destruction.
Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.
I am a born again Christian. Jesus is my Lord and savior and I personally believe that he will be fair at the end of each person’s life.
ELECTIONS AND VOTING
People should be able to vote without photo identification.
Disagree
Come on people, everyone has at least government photo idea on them.
What laws would you propose to change present voting practices?
I individual, one vote. No ballot harvesting. Recommend that even absentee voters directly take their ballot to the Supervisor of Elections.
EQUALITY
Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?
Yes there are racists from all walks of life and there will always be. Unless we get into a civil war we should be fine.
Reparations should be given to people on the basis of race.
Strongly Disagree
Reparations, really. We are at least 8 generations away from slavery. You want to help people then give them school choice, get them out of the ghettos, stress education. President “Racist” Johnson ruined there lives with ghettos and welfare and current politicians are extremely cruel when it comes to their fundamental rights. Just assist one individual.
ENERGY & ENVIRONMENT
Which comes closest to your view? A) Stricter environmental laws and regulations cost too many jobs and hurt the economy. B) Stricter environmental laws and regulations are worth the cost.
Answer: A. We need good policies so that the environment is protected but so are jobs.
I support the use of hydraulic fracking to extract oil and natural gas resources.
Agree
If done properly.
ABOUT YOU
What do you think is the general purpose of government?
To keep this country and its people safe from all enemies both foreign and domestic.
When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and religious liberty, which of the following best describes you overall?
Very Conservative
I believe that all people deserve a chance to succeed, not a guarantee. As the Declaration of Independence says “life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness (not happiness).
Please provide publicly available information, including interviews and media reports, validating your answer to the previous question (other than your website).
Most is on my website and Facebook. Some articles were printed about me and I have been on radio shows.
Have you ever been convicted of a felony or been penalized in either civil or criminal court for sexual misconduct? If so, please explain.
I have not.
What else would you like voters to know about you, including your legislative priorities?
In Florida we need better planning of infrastructure, protecting our water supply and wetlands. Two of my interests are animal adoption and really assisting g our foster kids and I will take that forward.
CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY
Police officers should be personally immune from prosecution for conduct consistent with departmental policy (qualified immunity) while on duty.
Strongly Agree
If they are not the. We will not have a police force anymore.
I support redirecting funds from police departments to mental health and community programs.
Disagree
2ND AMENDMENT
What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?
No restrictions except a quick background search and evaluation of mental health if it is warranted.
Victims of gun violence should be able to sue firearms dealers and manufacturers.
Disagree
They should be allowed to defend themselves.
