OTHER INFORMATION

QUESTIONNAIRE

RIGHT TO LIFE

Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?

None. My great grandmother died in childbirth and my grandmother was less that 2lbs in 1913. Today doctors can save the mother and usually the child as well. Saying that abortion is needed to save the mother is absurd. You remove the baby as carefully as possible and care for it as best you can in order to save the mother if needed, BUT you do not just butcher the baby.

Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).

Strongly Agree

I support 'aid in dying' laws which legalize assisted suicide and euthanasia.

Strongly Disagree

ECONOMY

What changes, if any, should be made to the tax code?

This question requires an extensive answer that would take thousands of pages to answer. There are some taxes such as inheritance tax that need eliminated immediately. The most important thing that needs to be done is to dramatically reduce government spending. I am the author and sponsor of an initiative to replace the current state board of education and commissioner so I can appoint (if elected Governor) a director who will help me reduce the State Board of Education from 500+ employees to about a dozen. I want MOST departments to be reduced dramatically.

iVoterGuide Notes:

Upon review, candidate notified iVoterGuide that his answer should have been "State Department of Education" and not "State Board of Education."

What government spending would you reduce in order to balance the budget?

Most departments except law enforcement.

Taxpayer-funded public education should be guaranteed through college.

Strongly Disagree

There are a large number of organizations that give free schooling. Most people simply want free money to attend school. There is free education available RIGHT NOW. You can go to www.michaelconnely.org and click on the Free Education link.

RELIGIOUS LIBERTY

Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.

Strongly Disagree

Under what circumstances can government close churches?

If the building has been abandoned for years. Otherwise the government may NOT close churches.

HEALTHCARE

What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D)Tax-payer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be de-funded.

D I am strongly at odds with the Medical Establishment. I have lost 4 close relatives through medical mistakes. Currently most medical funded programs pay for Medical Establishment sources and not preventative or natural therapies. I do want open practice of all medical fields.

Under what circumstances (if any) should a government, school, or employer be allowed to require vaccinations?

NEVER If a person's body is violated, what other rights have any value at all?

NATIONAL SECURITY

What should the United States do to help eradicate the threat of Islamic terrorism?

I like to study various religions. Most religions teach kindness and consideration. There is one religion that actually teaches criminal behavior. THAT type of religion should not be allowed to operate within our state. Stop being apologists for terroristic training. We are so afraid people will call us ANTI-Musliim, we use kid gloves when we should be like running into a brick wall with our response to criminal activity by Islamic terrorists.

I support the Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement to pressure Israel to withdraw from occupied territories, remove the separation barrier in the West Bank, allow full equality for Arab-Palestinian citizens of Israel, and promote the rights of Palestinian refugees.

Strongly Disagree

Years ago, I visited 2 different groups in Lincoln Nebraska. One was an Israeli support group and one was a Palestinian support group. I asked both groups the same question. What would be ideal for you in Israeli / Palestinian relations. The Israeli group told me they wanted to coexist, live together with no strife or conflict. The Palestinian group told me "We want to kill them all." Now you can guess which group I support more.

IMMIGRATION

The U.S. should do more to physically secure the southern border.

Strongly Agree

I could go into great detail on this, as I have relatives who work for border control. I am also former military intelligence and know the policies and actions taken against us by our enemies. If we do not secure our borders, we will fall as the Romans fell centuries ago, when they lost control of their borders.

Who should be allowed to immigrate to the U.S. and under what circumstances?

Individuals who have a valuable skill or trade craft that would help the USA should be able to immigrate into the USA. The rules and regulations should be simplified so that an average person who is willing and able to work can come to the USA and help in shortage areas. There is also a field of study called Demographic Economics. It shows that overall, at certain ages, most people react in the same way. Knowing that, if our population remains fairly constant across all age groups, it will help to stabilize our economy.

EDUCATION

I support school choice, including voucher programs, tax credits, charter schools, private schools, and home schools.

Strongly Agree

I also want all homeschool students to be issued Student IDs so they can access all public school facilities whenever they want.

VALUES

Judeo-Christian values established a framework of morality which is necessary for our system of limited government.

Strongly Agree

When you study ALL our history, you will see it is rooted in Christian values.

I support adding gender identity as a specially protected class in non-discrimination laws.

Strongly Disagree

Marriage is a God-ordained, sacred and legal union of one man and one woman. No government has the authority to alter this definition

Strongly Agree

I agree with Critical Race Theory (CRT) which asserts that the institutions in the United States are fundamentally racist.

Strongly Disagree

I first saw CRT in a Nazi propaganda magazine from the 1940s, one that my great uncle had picked up when he was working as a translator in World War 2. Some people think that teaching CRT is merely teaching history, it is not. It is taking bits of pieces of dark history while ignoring all the other positive history. It is merely a communist propaganda tool (copied from the Nazi propaganda materials) that is used to divide us so we collapse internally and the communists win without a fight.

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

I believe in God the father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. I also believe that we as humans are woefully ignorant about the forces of light and darkness that are around us. I like to study all denominations and various religions to see what people believe and why. I had a grandmother who died and was revived. She was furious at having been brought back from where she was. I include ALL factors when establishing my beliefs. I do believe however that Christ plays an integral part in our lives.

ELECTIONS AND VOTING

People should be able to vote without photo identification.

Strongly Disagree

The ONLY time people would say this is if they wanted to be able to cheat in an election OR if for some reason a state made it difficult to get an ID. Getting an ID should be free and supported by the state, so there is not excuse to NOT prove who you are.

What laws would you propose to change present voting practices?

1. Voter IDs should be required. I have personally seen a bus load of people, with an out of state license plate, come in to a polling location 15 minutes before it closed. They were picking the first spots that did not have anyone vote. It was obvious cheating. Voter IDs would have stopped that. 2. Voter drop-off boxes should be completely eliminated. It is an invitation for cheating. 3. There should be NO ballot harvesting. If senior citizens in rest homes wish to vote, only a person who has the power of attorney for that person should be able to turn in his or her ballot, as I did with my parents because I have the power of attorney to handle their legalities. 4. All computerized systems should be immediately discontinued. It is incredibly easy to hack and manipulate votes. We should have only paper ballots and absentee voting should be limited to those who are physically unable to come to voting booths. 5. Votes counts should NOT be given piece meal to media outlets. if numbers are known, then those who have the ability to manipulate numbers know how many they need.

EQUALITY

Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?

No, The communist teaching of Critical Race Theory pushing a false racism theory is a threat to domestic security, but racism in the USA is now a strong anti white black superiority type of racism. I am mixed with White, Asian, and Black, so it is from this, and my knowledge of military intelligence that I give my opinions.

Reparations should be given to people on the basis of race.

Strongly Disagree

So, even though I have the complexion of strawberry yogurt, I can get reparations because I can prove genetically and historically that I am descended from African slaves? What about my Irish slave ancestors?

ENERGY & ENVIRONMENT

Which comes closest to your view? A) Stricter environmental laws and regulations cost too many jobs and hurt the economy. B) Stricter environmental laws and regulations are worth the cost.

WOW this is hard. I am an environmentalist, BUT the rules and regulations that we have right now are moronic at best. They are right up there with wearing a mask when you are outside surfing on the ocean so you do not spread a virus. I want regulations that are intelligent and practical to protect our environment. We do not have good regulations now.

I support the use of hydraulic fracking to extract oil and natural gas resources.

Agree

I would like us to push for underground houses and other structures when possible so we can lower our thirst for energy. At this time, however, we are facing severe energy problems that WILL get worse. We need fracking at this time, but I hope to phase it out I would like to explore Hydrogen Power systems. When you burn hydrogen, the exhaust is water vapor.

ABOUT YOU

What do you think is the general purpose of government?

To protect the people and provide for a common defense.

When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and religious liberty, which of the following best describes you overall?

Very Conservative

There are a few issues that I am not very conservative. I want medical marijuana as I consider it superior to many of the Big Pharma drugs. Oh, I do not smoke or drink and have not in the past. I just look at the scientific aspects. I also am very hesitant about the death penalty. Some bad people deserve to die, BUT I have very little confidence in our judicial system. I believe that Project Innocence should have a run at ALL murder cases as well.

Please provide publicly available information, including interviews and media reports, validating your answer to the previous question (other than your website).

I am the sponsor of multiple legal initiatives that will be put on the November ballot for citizens to choose. I will post the link to the secretary of state website so you can see for yourself. I do not believe in just making promises. I believe in doing the work RIGHT NOW. https://sos.nebraska.gov/elections/current-petitions-circulation

Have you ever been convicted of a felony or been penalized in either civil or criminal court for sexual misconduct? If so, please explain.

No

What else would you like voters to know about you, including your legislative priorities?

CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY

Police officers should be personally immune from prosecution for conduct consistent with departmental policy (qualified immunity) while on duty.

Agree

I support redirecting funds from police departments to mental health and community programs.

Strongly Disagree

2ND AMENDMENT

What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?

Mentally deficient individuals and those with a violent hostile criminal history should be restricted

Victims of gun violence should be able to sue firearms dealers and manufacturers.
