QUESTIONNAIRE*

*Additional information was received after the evaluation was assigned and was not considered in the Panel Evaluations, therefore it is for additional educational purposes only.
RIGHT TO LIFE

Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).

Strongly Agree

I used to think that even if Planned Parenthood stops abortions, the government should consider funding them. With the track record they have now, I do not trust them at all. Instead, the government should look at grants for institutions similar to the other services that Planned Parenthood provides.

I support 'aid in dying' laws which legalize assisted suicide and euthanasia.

Agree

As someone who had watched people suffer from inevitable death, I have to agree that in extreme cases, it should be possible for those who are in their right mind to make this decision themselves.

Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?

When there is a guarantee that either the mother will not survive or the child will not survive if born.

ECONOMY

Redistribution of income is needed to lessen the gap between the wealthy and working classes.

Strongly Disagree

This is Equity, not Equality.

The government should cut spending in order to reduce the national debt.

Strongly Agree

My biggest platform is controlling government spending.

What changes, if any, should be made to the tax code?

I am in support of lowering taxes for everyone. So many things go into a tax code and it also depends on what is at the Federal and State level. One of the biggest ways we can lower taxes is to stop unnecessary spending.

RELIGIOUS LIBERTY

Religious liberty is at risk in the United States and deserves the highest level of protection in the law.

Agree

I don't think it is the highest on the list of protections, but religious freedom is one of America's biggest foundations and it needs to stay that way.

Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.

Strongly Disagree

Private businesses should be able to deny who they want if it goes against their morals.

What should be the relationship between the church and the state?

Definitely separation, but tolerance as well.

HEALTHCARE

Under what circumstances (if any) should a government, school, or employer be allowed to require vaccinations?

NEVER

What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D)Tax-payer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be de-funded.

C. The need for Medicaid should be screened and Medicare availability is necessary for some people such as the elderly unless the whole healthcare system can be revamped.

NATIONAL SECURITY

With regard to America's foreign policy, which view most closely resembles yours: A) The United States should intervene whenever freedom is threatened. B) The United States should selectively help countries trying to grow democracy and fight tyranny. C) The United States has become too involved in others' policies and should remain focused on issues regarding our own sovereignty unless in imminent danger. D) The United States should stay out of foreign conflicts completely.

C. I want to say D, but there are times throughout history where we needed to intervene. I believe that America should try its hardest to not stick its nose in other's affairs if it doesn't directly affect us.

I support the Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement to pressure Israel to withdraw from occupied territories, remove the separation barrier in the West Bank, allow full equality for Arab-Palestinian citizens of Israel, and promote the rights of Palestinian refugees.

Neutral

This is a question that goes deeper than Israel being an oppressor. There are many angles to why both countries are in the wrong.

The Chinese Communist Party poses serious military, cyber security, intellectual property, and global economic threats to the United States.

Strongly Agree

100% agree that China is America's biggest international threat and it cannot be ignored.

What should the United States do to help eradicate the threat of Islamic terrorism?

The United States shouldn't have pulled out of the Middle East in the fashion it did last year. We have seen the devastating consequences of leaving a power vacuum and it wasted years of work. The biggest priority when it comes to terrorism would be here on American soil. We need to make sure that people are aware of the threats and how severe it can be. We are teaching people to become more desensitized to their atrocities. America should also consider supportig any efforts made to stop it overseas along with other countries.

IMMIGRATION

The U.S. should do more to physically secure the southern border.

Strongly Agree

Every country has borders and America needs to enforce its own. We have a crisis that is being ignored by this administration.

State and federal funds shall be denied to any public or private entity, such as a sanctuary city, that is not in compliance with immigration laws.

Strongly Agree

Sanctuary cities should not exist.

Who should be allowed to immigrate to the U.S. and under what circumstances?

Anyone should be able to come to America through proper and extensive vetting and the legal immigration process.

VALUES

Sexual orientation and gender identity should be protected classes in non-discrimination laws.

Neutral

They are already protected because they are human beings. It doesn't matter what their sexual orientation or gender identity is.

I agree with Critical Race Theory (CRT) which asserts that the institutions in the United States are fundamentally racist.

Strongly Disagree

CRT is one of the worst things to come out of public education.

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

I am a practicing Christian and have been to private schools most of my life.

ELECTIONS AND VOTING

People should be able to vote without photo identification.

Strongly Disagree

If you need a driver's license to purchase alcohol, video games, compressed air, etc. then you can provide proof to vote. It really is not that difficult.

What laws would you propose to change present voting practices?

Voter ID and getting rid of automation that can be corrupted. Harsh penalties for those who are caught with fraud.

EQUALITY

Reparations should be given to people on the basis of race.

Strongly Disagree

Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?

No. Individuals can be racist. A majority are not.

ENERGY & ENVIRONMENT

I support the use of hydraulic fracking to extract oil and natural gas resources.

Agree

Only is done in a safe manner and can provide proof of such manner.

Which comes closest to your view? A) Stricter environmental laws and regulations cost too many jobs and hurt the economy. B) Stricter environmental laws and regulations are worth the cost.

A

Have you ever been convicted of a felony or been penalized in either civil or criminal court for sexual misconduct? If so, please explain.

No

What else would you like voters to know about you, including your legislative priorities?

I am someone who is sick of current policies and want to be loud about my dissatisfaction with how corrupt the government has become. I can guarantee you that there will be many people on the opposite side who will hate me.

CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY

Police officers should be personally immune from prosecution for conduct consistent with departmental policy (qualified immunity) while on duty.

Neutral

There are many circumstances that would need to be reviewed but nobody should have automatic immunity without an investigation.

I support redirecting funds from police departments to mental health and community programs.

Disagree

2ND AMENDMENT

What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?

Almost none. This is also a question depending on circumstances such as violent felons or mental stability.

Victims of gun violence should be able to sue firearms dealers and manufacturers.
