QUESTIONNAIRE

RIGHT TO LIFE

Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?

I do not believe that abortion should be allowed under any circumstances.

Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).

Strongly Agree

I do not believe that our tax dollars should ever fund any organization that offers abortion services.

I support 'aid in dying' laws which legalize assisted suicide and euthanasia.

Neutral

I honestly struggle with how I feel about this topic.

ECONOMY

What changes, if any, should be made to the tax code?

I believe many changes need to be made to the Ohio tax code. Ohioans are being taxed an increasingly high amount while government spending is even higher. We need to lower the tax burden on our Ohioans while reducing state spending. Income tax, property tax, and gas tax are the top three areas I believe should be focused on first.

What government spending would you reduce in order to balance the budget?

For FY 2022 Ohio has a $99B budget. Medicaid gets over $37B of that. I believe that should be the first place we look in decrease spending. I believe this can be done without compromising the care of our citizens, but by reigning in the exorbitant charges billed by providers.

Taxpayer-funded public education should be guaranteed through college.

Strongly Agree

I believe we have a social obligation to provide our children with public education. I also believe that if you choose not to send your child to a public school, those funds allotted for your child's public education should follow your child to the school of your choice.

RELIGIOUS LIBERTY

Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.

Strongly Disagree

If a business has moral and/or religious beliefs that go against providing certain services, then I do not believe the government has the right to force them to. Any citizen who disagrees with their decision not to provide a service, has the freedom to not do business with that business.

Under what circumstances can government close churches?

There are no circumstances that the government has any right to close churches.

HEALTHCARE

What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D)Tax-payer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be de-funded.

I believe Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. The more taxpayer-funded health care programs we have, the more expensive it is for everyone. Prices for Private Healthcare become more expensive and medical care is worse. Citizens should have the right to choose which healthcare plan works best for them, their families, their medical needs, and their budget.

Under what circumstances (if any) should a government, school, or employer be allowed to require vaccinations?

There are no circumstances that a government, school, or employer should be allowed to require vaccinations. Our medical decisions our individual decisions based on our own personal beliefs and not subject to anyone else's control.

NATIONAL SECURITY

What should the United States do to help eradicate the threat of Islamic terrorism?

We should continue to eliminate those individuals and groups who pose a threat.

I support the Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement to pressure Israel to withdraw from occupied territories, remove the separation barrier in the West Bank, allow full equality for Arab-Palestinian citizens of Israel, and promote the rights of Palestinian refugees.

Neutral

IMMIGRATION

The U.S. should do more to physically secure the southern border.

Strongly Agree

The U.S. should finish the border wall and secure our border. This is about national safety, the safety of the women and children who are trafficked across the southern border, and the American citizens who are affected by the massive amount of drugs coming across the border.

Who should be allowed to immigrate to the U.S. and under what circumstances?

Anyone who wants to immigrate to the U.S. and become a productive member of our society should be allowed, but only when they do it through the legal channels.

EDUCATION

I support school choice, including voucher programs, tax credits, charter schools, private schools, and home schools.

Strongly Agree

Tax dollars allocated for each student should follow that child, if the parent chooses. I believe allowing parents to take their tax dollars to the school of their choice will encourage school systems to provide the best education possible.

VALUES

Judeo-Christian values established a framework of morality which is necessary for our system of limited government.

Strongly Agree

I support adding gender identity as a specially protected class in non-discrimination laws.

Strongly Disagree

Marriage is a God-ordained, sacred and legal union of one man and one woman. No government has the authority to alter this definition

Disagree

Although I am a Christian, I believe that anyone who chooses to legally tie their life to someone else's in marriage has that right. A marriage in the church and in the eyes of God is completely different than a legal marriage in the eyes of the government.

I agree with Critical Race Theory (CRT) which asserts that the institutions in the United States are fundamentally racist.

Strongly Disagree

CRT teaches people to be victims and to believe that their value as a human is dictated by the color of their skin. Our children should not be taught this in school or anywhere else, nor should they be taught the false facts that the United States are fundamentally racist.

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

I am a Catholic and believe that God is my lord and savior.

ELECTIONS AND VOTING

People should be able to vote without photo identification.

Strongly Disagree

Photo identification is imperative to safe and secure elections.

What laws would you propose to change present voting practices?

I would propose that photo identification be mandatory. I would also propose that we return to paper ballots and stop using machines to help secure our elections against voter fraud. One citizen, one vote.

EQUALITY

Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?

I do not believe racism is a threat to domestic security in the United States. Those with certain agendas are trying to convince us that we are racist and convinces others that they are victims to suit their own agendas, that is the threat.

Reparations should be given to people on the basis of race.

Strongly Disagree

It is the choices we make that determine the quality of our lives, not events that happened to our ancestors many lifetimes ago.

ENERGY & ENVIRONMENT

Which comes closest to your view? A) Stricter environmental laws and regulations cost too many jobs and hurt the economy. B) Stricter environmental laws and regulations are worth the cost.

A

I support the use of hydraulic fracking to extract oil and natural gas resources.

Strongly Agree

ABOUT YOU

What do you think is the general purpose of government?

The general purpose of the government is to handle the business of the people, not rule over the people.

When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and religious liberty, which of the following best describes you overall?

Very Conservative

Please provide publicly available information, including interviews and media reports, validating your answer to the previous question (other than your website).

Did not answer

Have you ever been convicted of a felony or been penalized in either civil or criminal court for sexual misconduct? If so, please explain.

No.

What else would you like voters to know about you, including your legislative priorities?

My priorities will be returning freedom to the citizens. The government has taken over too much of our lives and it is time for our legislature to stop making laws that inhibit our freedoms and start protecting our freedoms.

CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY

Police officers should be personally immune from prosecution for conduct consistent with departmental policy (qualified immunity) while on duty.

Disagree

I believe this should be a case by case determination.

I support redirecting funds from police departments to mental health and community programs.

Strongly Disagree

When funds are redirected from our police departments, our safety is the price we pay for that.

2ND AMENDMENT

What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?

I believe that any restrictions on gun ownership go against our Constitution and our fundamental rights to keep and bare arms.

Victims of gun violence should be able to sue firearms dealers and manufacturers.

Strongly Disagree

Firearms dealers and manufacturers have no responsibility on how any product the make or sell are used. The person using the guns while breaking the law are the only ones responsible.
