RIGHT TO LIFE

Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?

Never. The question is right to life, right? Does a baby not have a right to life. I lost my only daughter to stillbirth and I cherished her and her life.

Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).

Agree

Until these providers eliminate abortion procedures the centers, they should not receive federal, state or local government funds. Why should taxes go towards funding to end a baby's life? Planned Parenthood provides a lot of necessary services, but I will not vote to fund them until they discontinue abortions.

I support 'aid in dying' laws which legalize assisted suicide and euthanasia.

Neutral

This question is too general to answer. Who gets the final say in end? The doctor, the patient, the caregiver?

RELIGIOUS LIBERTY

Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.

Strongly Disagree

According to the First Amendment, you cannot prohibit individuals and businesses from exercising their religious beliefs.

Under what circumstances can government close churches?

Never, the right to sssemble is protected under the first amendment and should never be violated according to the constitution.

NATIONAL SECURITY

What should the United States do to help eradicate the threat of Islamic terrorism?

We must close our borders. There is a right way and there is a wrong way to become a U.S. citizen. There is a process by which a person can legally become a citizen. We must improve the ways we vet our foreign nationals, particularly from countries where terrorists are in large numbers.

I support the Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement to pressure Israel to withdraw from occupied territories, remove the separation barrier in the West Bank, allow full equality for Arab-Palestinian citizens of Israel, and promote the rights of Palestinian refugees.

Strongly Disagree

HEALTHCARE

What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D)Tax-payer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be de-funded.

I don’t think any of these answers are correct for me. It would be better to expand the use of HSA’s, along with the availability of commercial insurance for those who can afford it. Medicare should remain available to seniors. Medicaid should be available for those who cannot afford commercial health insurance. We need tighter controls for funding Medicare and Medicaid to cut down on fraud which would also reduce our healthcare debt.

Under what circumstances (if any) should a government, school, or employer be allowed to require vaccinations?

Under no circumstances whatsoever. The government should never control what happens to individuals or our children.

ECONOMY

What changes, if any, should be made to the tax code?

Taxes are one of the main reasons Colorado has become unaffordable. We have raised taxes here on property, income, small business regulations and fees, delivery, and retail fees. The consumer is paying the consequences. We must lower taxes in every aspect, as well as overspending by the government.

What government spending would you reduce in order to balance the budget?

We must be harder on crime. Colorado has one of the highest recidivism rates in the country and we spent 468 million on crime last year. We must have tougher penalties for criminals, prosecute and keep criminals in jail. We are first in the country for cocaine deaths, auto and property theft, bank robberies, and second in fentanyl deaths. With 50% of criminals offending again, that is a huge financial burden to our state. Overtaxation of small businesses must end. If we force these businesses to close because of financial burden, then we have no one employing people. We saw this in 2020 with the closure of 40% of small businesses in Colorado, and a state that allowed the unemployed to not work for over 18 months during the pandemic and still get paid. We now have businesses struggling to find employees. Colorado sits at one of the highest inflation rates in the country, at 15.6%, with the average state seeing a 9% inflation rate. Biden is now draining our strategic petroleum reserve, with levels the lowest they have been since 1980, in an attempt to lower gas prices before midterms. But we are going to see them skyrocket again! We must return to self-reliance when it comes to energy and stop relying on foreign oil. We must stop allowing frivolous litigation against homebuilders and excessive regulations and fees. This has created a housing crisis in Colorado, which affects the home builder, the buyer, the seller, the real estate market, and the land title communities.

Taxpayer-funded public education should be guaranteed through college.

Strongly Disagree

There has been a huge shift taking place. High school graduates are increasingly entering the labor force, a skilled trade, and the arm services in lieu of colleges and universities. Why would they be forced to pay for someone who wants to attend college because they chose a different path and would not benefit? If our high schools to do provide graduates with the basic skills needed to support themselves, then it is the schools that are failing.

IMMIGRATION

The U.S. should do more to physically secure the southern border.

Strongly Agree

The security of US citizens is reduced dramatically when people are not vetted and allowed to enter the country freely. Statistics prove there is a dramatic increase in human and sex trafficking, fentanyl and cocaine deaths, healthcare costs, education costs, murder rates, and auto and property theft because of open borders and this policy!!

Who should be allowed to immigrate to the U.S. and under what circumstances?

Anyone who wants to come here legally and has been fully vetted. Those that intend to make a conscious effort to assimilate and be an American.

EDUCATION

I support school choice, including voucher programs, tax credits, charter schools, private schools, and home schools.

Strongly Agree

Parents should always have the right to choose what school their child attends. This should never, ever be mandated by the government.

CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY

Police officers should be personally immune from prosecution for conduct consistent with departmental policy (qualified immunity) while on duty.

Strongly Agree

I support redirecting funds from police departments to mental health and community programs.

Strongly Disagree

We have already seen in Colorado what defunding the police has done to our crime rates. We are now first in the country for auto and property theft and bank robberies. We cannot continue to cut funding for police officers.

2ND AMENDMENT

What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?

None. Guns don’t kill people, people kill people. Two men in Canada just killed ten people with knives and injured 15 others.

Victims of gun violence should be able to sue firearms dealers and manufacturers.

Strongly Disagree

Can obese people sue McDonalds? We must stop frivolous lawsuits.

ABOUT YOU

What do you think is the general purpose of government?

Per the constitution the purpose is expressed in the preamble. We the people of the United States, in order to form a more perfect union, establish justice, ensure domestic tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general welfare, and secure the blessings of liberty to ourselves and our posterity, Do ordain and establish the constitution for the United States of America. The government's chief goals should be to protect the sovereignty of its borders and the rights of its citizens.

When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and religious liberty, which of the following best describes you overall?

Conservative

Please provide publicly available information, including interviews and media reports, validating your answer to the previous question (other than your website).

Did not answer

Have you ever been convicted of a felony or been penalized in either civil or criminal court for sexual misconduct? If so, please explain.

No

What else would you like voters to know about you, including your legislative priorities?

I would like to make Colorado more affordable, safer, and a place where small businesses can thrive!

VALUES

Judeo-Christian values established a framework of morality which is necessary for our system of limited government.

Strongly Agree

This is the entire basis of the Constitution and the framework upon which the Founding Fathers created the Constitution.

I support adding gender identity as a specially protected class in non-discrimination laws.

Strongly Disagree

I believe in two genders.

Marriage is a God-ordained, sacred and legal union of one man and one woman. No government has the authority to alter this definition

Strongly Agree

I agree with Critical Race Theory (CRT) which asserts that the institutions in the United States are fundamentally racist.

Strongly Disagree

CRT is designed to re-segregate the races. Who decides on the oppressed versus the oppressor? The poor white child living in an abusive home, goes to school to be told he’s an oppressor??? Or the military family fighting for our country, their children are told they are oppressors?? Where does it end??? We should not judge entire races bases on immutable characteristics over which we have no control, but by our character and our choices over which we do.

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

I believe the Bible is the true word of God and the foundation of my life. It is my spiritual guide for life.

ELECTIONS AND VOTING

People should be able to vote without photo identification.

Strongly Disagree

Are people allowed to get pulled over by a police officer with their electric bill or phone bill as proof of identity. Why in the world would we let people vote without a photo identification? We cannot pick up a prescription or pick up an online order at a storefront. Should we not provide an ID for what may be the most important thing we do as citizens?

What laws would you propose to change present voting practices?

Without proper photo identification, you should NEVER be allowed to vote!

EQUALITY

Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?

I think every race has some extreme outliers that contribute to racism and our potential threats to domestic security!

Reparations should be given to people on the basis of race.

Strongly Disagree

No because the people that deserved reparations died hundreds of years ago. I cannot take responsibility for the bad decisions made by my forefathers. Thomas Sowell had a great quote “if you were to give reparations to everyone whose ancestors have been slaves, I suspect that you would have to give reparations to more than half the entire population of the globe. Slavery was not confined to one set of races.“

ENERGY & ENVIRONMENT

Which comes closest to your view? A) Stricter environmental laws and regulations cost too many jobs and hurt the economy. B) Stricter environmental laws and regulations are worth the cost.

A

I support the use of hydraulic fracking to extract oil and natural gas resources.

Strongly Agree

As witnessed watching the Ukrainian and Russian war, we cannot keep depending on foreign oil. We must keep advancing domestic oil and gas!
