QUESTIONNAIRE

RIGHT TO LIFE

Human life deserves legal protection from conception until natural death.

Strongly Agree

The lives of human embryos created through artificial methods ought to be protected from purposeful destruction.

Agree

I believe every human life has value—including embryos—but we also need compassion for families trying to have children. We should set ethical standards that protect life, limit unnecessary embryo destruction, and support responsible fertility treatments without punishing hopeful parents.

Under what circumstances should an elective abortion be allowed?

My position is that elective abortion should be limited, with clear protections for the life of the mother and in cases of rape or incest. Beyond that, we should be focused on reducing the demand for abortion by expanding support for mothers, strengthening adoption, and making it easier to choose life.

Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should receive taxpayer funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).

Strongly Disagree

I do not believe taxpayer dollars should be used to fund abortion providers. Millions of Americans have deep moral objections to abortion, and they shouldn’t be forced to subsidize it. That said, I support ensuring women have access to essential healthcare—like screenings, preventative care, and family planning—through community health centers that do not perform abortions.

The Comstock Act, which bans interstate transportation of abortion-inducing drugs, should be enforced.

Strongly Disagree

I can’t support enforcing outdated federal statutes in a way that criminalizes patients or turns the federal government into the primary enforcer of abortion policy through the mail system. I believe we should instead focus on protecting life through democratic legislation, strengthening state-level authority, and ensuring robust protections for conscience rights—while also respecting the rule of law and avoiding broad federal overreach that creates more conflict than clarity.

ECONOMY

Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.

Strongly Agree

People who can afford to pay more taxes should do so in order to provide relief for working families.

Strongly Disagree

I strongly disagree. The idea that we should punish people simply because they’ve succeeded and can ‘afford’ to pay more is not only unfair—it’s counterproductive and hurts the very working families we’re trying to help.

The government should cut spending in order to reduce the national debt.

Strongly Agree

Our national debt now exceeds $36 trillion and is growing by trillions every year. That’s not sustainable. Interest payments alone are now rivaling major defense or Medicare spending, crowding out investments in our own communities, infrastructure, and security right here in Maryland. We are mortgaging Maryland families’ futures to pay for Washington’s addiction to spending.

List your top 3-5 priorities to eliminate government waste.

Here are my top five:” - End Blank-Check Foreign Aid and Forever Wars - Slash Waste, Fraud, and Duplication Across Federal Agencies - Eliminate DEI, “Woke” Initiatives, and Non-Essential Bureaucracy - Reform Entitlements and Entitlement Spending for Long-Term Solvency. -- We must protect Social Security and Medicare for those who earned them while modernizing the programs to prevent insolvency. This includes means-testing where appropriate.

RELIGIOUS LIBERTY

Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.

Strongly Disagree

“No. Absolutely not. The government should never force individuals and businesses to violate their deeply held moral or religious beliefs. That is a fundamental violation of the First Amendment and American liberty.”

What does "separation of church and state" mean to you?

To me, “separation of church and state” means two things, both rooted in the First Amendment: 1. The federal government shall not establish an official state religion or compel citizens to support one. 2. The government shall not prohibit the free exercise of religion or punish Americans for living according to their faith.

HEALTHCARE

What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D) Taxpayer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be defunded.

Government should not be the sole provider or the dominant player in healthcare. My view is rooted in patient-centered, market-driven reform: Protect and strengthen Medicare for seniors who paid into it, while making it solvent for the long term through modernization and choice. No cuts to current beneficiaries. Reform Medicaid into a more efficient, flexible block grant program to the states so Maryland can tailor solutions that actually work for our residents.

The government should keep a database of people with various ongoing medical illnesses to assess the economic burden of treatment.

Strongly Disagree

Medical privacy is sacred. Your health information belongs to you and your doctor — not Washington bureaucrats. HIPAA protections exist for a reason, and we should strengthen them, not weaken them with new government databases. Government already has far too much data on Americans. We don’t need another federal registry that could be leaked, hacked, or abused for political purposes. Assessing the “economic burden” of sick people is the mindset of socialized medicine systems.

NATIONAL SECURITY

With regard to America's foreign policy, which view most closely resembles yours: A) The United States should intervene whenever freedom is threatened. B) The United States should selectively help countries trying to grow democracy and fight tyranny. C) The United States has become too involved in others' policies and should remain focused on issues regarding our own sovereignty unless in imminent danger. D) The United States should stay out of foreign conflicts completely.

“The view that most closely matches mine is C: The United States has become too involved in others’ policies and should remain focused on issues regarding our own sovereignty unless there is imminent danger to America or our vital national interests.”

The Chinese Communist Party poses serious military, cyber security, intellectual property, and global economic threats to the United States.

Strongly Agree

Is the United States' relationship with Israel important, and if so why?

Yes, America’s relationship with Israel is very important — but it must be based on shared strategic interests, not unconditional blank checks. My support is America First, not Israel First. Continue military aid that benefits both nations

Islamic terrorism is a threat to the United States' national security.

Strongly Agree

IMMIGRATION

Who should be allowed to immigrate to the U.S. and under what circumstances?

Legal immigration, yes. Illegal immigration, no. America should welcome immigrants, but only those who come legally, through an orderly, merit-based system that puts American workers and communities first.”

I support the existence of sanctuary cities to protect undocumented persons.

Strongly Disagree

I support legal immigration and compassionate, orderly processes for those truly fleeing persecution. But sanctuary cities are not the solution—they’re part of the problem. Sanctuary policies deliberately obstruct federal law enforcement from doing its job: detaining and removing individuals who are here illegally. That doesn’t protect anyone—it shields lawbreakers, strains our local resources, and puts Maryland families at risk.

EDUCATION

I support eliminating the U.S. Department of Education and giving control back to states and communities.

Strongly Agree

The Department of Education was created with good intentions in 1979. Still, it has grown into a massive, one-size-fits-all bureaucracy that spends over $80 billion a year while student outcomes have stagnated or declined in too many areas—especially in reading and math. It’s pushed top-down mandates, politicized curricula, and often promoted ideology over excellence and parental rights. Maryland families know this all too well: our schools deserve better than Washington interference.

Foreign governments should be prohibited from funding American education.

Strongly Agree

I strongly agree—foreign governments should be strictly prohibited from funding or influencing American education, period. As a retired Air Force Lieutenant Colonel with over 20 years of service, and a former Senior Advisor at the Department of Homeland Security focused on cybersecurity and national security threats, I’ve seen how adversaries like the Chinese Communist Party use every tool—including money funneled into our universities and schools—to undermine America.

VALUES

Attempts to physically or socially transition a child to the opposite sex constitute child abuse.

Strongly Agree

“Thank you for asking this critical question. Yes, I agree without hesitation: Attempts to physically or socially transition a child to the opposite sex constitute child abuse. We are talking about irreversible medical interventions—puberty blockers, cross-sex hormones, and surgeries—performed on minors who cannot possibly give informed consent. These procedures carry well-documented risks of sterility, loss of sexual function, bone loss, increased suicide risk later in life, and profound regret

Marriage is a God-ordained, sacred and legal union of one man and one woman. No government has the authority to alter this definition.

Strongly Agree

I agree: Marriage is a God-ordained, sacred union between one man and one woman. It is the foundational building block of a stable society, and no government has the legitimate authority to redefine what God and nature have established for millennia. As a husband, a father, and a man of faith who has spent over 20 years in uniform defending this nation’s values, I believe the government’s role is to protect and recognize this natural institution—not to alter or undermine it.

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

“Thank you for asking such a personal and important question. I am a Christian. I follow the principles laid out by the Creator of the Universe and His Son, Jesus Christ. My faith teaches me the value of every human life, the importance of truth, integrity, personal responsibility, humility, and loving my neighbor as myself. It shapes how I live as a husband, father, and public servant. My spiritual values drive me to defend life, protect children, uphold the traditional family, honor religious liberty, and fight for justice and equal opportunity for all Americans—without favoritism or identity politics. I believe faith should inform our character and guide our conscience.

ELECTIONS AND VOTING

People should be able to vote without photo identification.

Disagree

I respectfully disagree. People should be required to show photo identification to vote. Secure, verifiable elections are the foundation of our republic, and common-sense safeguards like photo ID protect everyone’s vote from being diluted or stolen.

EQUALITY

Biological males should not be allowed to participate in women's sports or occupy biological women's spaces whether it be bathrooms, locker rooms, sorority houses, women's shelters, or prison.

Strongly Agree

I agree 100%: Biological males should not be allowed to participate in women’s sports or occupy biological women’s private spaces—bathrooms, locker rooms, sorority houses, women’s shelters, or prisons. Biology is not bigotry. Men and boys have inherent physical advantages in strength, speed, and bone density that no amount of hormones or declarations can erase.

ENERGY & ENVIRONMENT

What do you believe is the most reliable energy source that will supply the growing demand for electricity?

The most reliable energy sources to meet growing demand are fossil fuels—especially natural gas—and nuclear power. These provide consistent, dispatchable power 24/7, regardless of weather.

ABOUT YOU

Have you ever been penalized for sexual misconduct in either civil or criminal court? If so, please explain.

NO

Have you ever been convicted of a felony? If so, please explain.

NO

When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and religious liberty, which of the following best describes you overall?

Conservative

CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY

Government has a responsibility to protect children from sexual exploitation during online activities.

Strongly Agree

Yes, the government absolutely has a responsibility to protect children from sexual exploitation online. Our kids are under unprecedented assault from predators, pornography, and grooming on social media platforms, and we have a moral and constitutional duty to act. Big Tech has failed our children miserably by prioritizing profits over safety.

2ND AMENDMENT

What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?

“Thank you for this important question. The Second Amendment is not a suggestion—it is a fundamental, non-negotiable right that protects all our other freedoms. As a retired Air Force Lieutenant Colonel with over 21 years of service, a responsible gun owner who grew up around firearms, and someone who carried weapons in defense of this nation, I believe very few additional restrictions on law-abiding citizens are needed or constitutional.
