QUESTIONNAIRE
RIGHT TO LIFE
Human life deserves legal protection from conception until natural death.
Neutral
Human life has value and deserves respect at every stage. This is a complex issue where people of good faith disagree. My focus is on supporting women and families—improving healthcare access, reducing unintended pregnancies, and creating better options. We should lead with compassion and practical solutions that make a difference, not rigid positions that divide communities.
The lives of human embryos created through artificial methods ought to be protected from purposeful destruction.
Agree
This issue should be approached with care and respect for potential human life while recognizing the role of medical science in helping families have children. Treatments like IVF have helped many people build families. We should ensure ethical standards while preserving access to safe, effective fertility care that delivers real results.
Under what circumstances should an elective abortion be allowed?
This is a deeply personal decision. Abortion should be legal in early pregnancy with safeguards, and later in serious cases involving the mother’s health or severe complications. We should also reduce the need for abortion by improving access to contraception, healthcare, and support for women and families.
Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should receive taxpayer funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).
Neutral
Taxpayer funding should focus on widely supported services like preventive care, screenings, and basic health. Providers like Planned Parenthood play a role in delivering that care, and funding should continue for those services. We should use taxpayer dollars responsibly, focus on common ground, and ensure funding delivers effective care without increasing division.
The Comstock Act, which bans interstate transportation of abortion-inducing drugs, should be enforced.
Disagree
Outdated laws should be reviewed based on modern medical standards. Individuals should have access to safe, FDA-approved medications. States have a role, but we need clear, updated policies that protect access while avoiding conflicting laws and uncertainty.
ECONOMY
Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.
Strongly Agree
Free enterprise and private property drive economic growth, innovation, and opportunity. They help small businesses succeed, create jobs, and generate revenue that supports essential public services. We also need fair rules and accountability so the system works for everyone. A strong economy requires both opportunity and responsibility.
People who can afford to pay more taxes should do so in order to provide relief for working families.
Neutral
Before asking people to pay more, government should show it uses current resources effectively and delivers results. Too often, we see high spending without progress, which erodes trust. My focus is reducing waste, improving accountability, and ensuring taxpayer dollars solve real problems while lowering costs for working families.
The government should cut spending in order to reduce the national debt.
Agree
We need to take the national debt seriously, but the solution isn’t across-the-board cuts. The focus should be reducing waste, improving efficiency, and making smart investments. Fiscal responsibility means disciplined spending that uses taxpayer dollars effectively, delivers real results, and supports long-term growth.
List your top 3-5 priorities to eliminate government waste.
Focus funding on measurable results—not bureaucracy—so resources reach the people and communities they are intended to serve. Strengthen accountability and oversight to ensure taxpayer dollars are used effectively. Reduce duplication and streamline under-performing programs. Modernize systems and technology to improve efficiency and lower costs. Expand performance reviews based on measurable outcomes so ineffective programs are improved or ended.
RELIGIOUS LIBERTY
Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.
Disagree
Individuals and businesses should be treated fairly, and we should respect both religious freedom and the rights of customers. Businesses that serve the public should not discriminate, but there are limited cases where beliefs deserve consideration. We need practical solutions that respect both sides and deliver fair, consistent outcomes.
What does "separation of church and state" mean to you?
Separation of church and state means government should not favor or impose any religion, and people should be free to practice their beliefs. It protects both religious freedom and government neutrality. In a diverse society, it ensures fairness and allows people of all faiths—or no faith—to coexist with mutual respect.
HEALTHCARE
What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D) Taxpayer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be defunded.
B. Healthcare should be reliable, affordable, and accessible. I support a system with a public option alongside private coverage. The focus should be lowering costs, improving access, and making the system work better for patients—not forcing a one-size-fits-all approach. We should also use resources more effectively so spending delivers real results.
The government should keep a database of people with various ongoing medical illnesses to assess the economic burden of treatment.
Disagree
Data can improve healthcare outcomes and costs, but privacy must come first. A centralized database raises serious concerns about misuse. Any data collection should be limited, anonymized where possible, and focused on improving care—not tracking individuals.
NATIONAL SECURITY
With regard to America's foreign policy, which view most closely resembles yours: A) The United States should intervene whenever freedom is threatened. B) The United States should selectively help countries trying to grow democracy and fight tyranny. C) The United States has become too involved in others' policies and should remain focused on issues regarding our own sovereignty unless in imminent danger. D) The United States should stay out of foreign conflicts completely.
B. The U.S. should play a strong role in the world but be disciplined about when and how we engage. I support selective involvement when it aligns with our national interests. We should avoid open-ended commitments and focus on clear objectives, strong alliances, and strategies that deliver real results.
The Chinese Communist Party poses serious military, cyber security, intellectual property, and global economic threats to the United States.
Strongly Agree
The Chinese Communist Party presents serious and growing threats to our national security and economy. This is not just an overseas issue—it affects us here at home.?We need a clear, coordinated strategy to protect American interests, strengthen supply chains, and reduce dependence on adversarial regimes.
Is the United States' relationship with Israel important, and if so why?
Yes. The U.S. relationship with Israel is important because of shared democratic values, strong security cooperation, and a longstanding strategic partnership. Strong alliances are essential to long-term stability in the region.
Islamic terrorism is a threat to the United States' national security.
Strongly Agree
Terrorism remains a serious threat, and we must stay vigilant. Our response should be focused, intelligence-driven, and coordinated with allies to prevent attacks and address evolving threats. We should also recognize that many people in affected regions are victims of terrorism, and keep our efforts targeted on those responsible.
IMMIGRATION
Who should be allowed to immigrate to the U.S. and under what circumstances?
The United States is a nation of immigrants, and our system should reflect both our values and our need for order. Immigration should be legal, fair, and efficient, supporting family reunification, economic opportunity, and humanitarian protections like asylum. It must also be managed responsibly so communities are supported and not overwhelmed.
I support the existence of sanctuary cities to protect undocumented persons.
Disagree
Communities need trust between law enforcement and residents so victims feel safe coming forward. At the same time, public safety must come first. When individuals commit serious crimes, there should be clear coordination with federal authorities while they are already in custody. We need practical solutions that improve coordination and keep communities safe.
EDUCATION
I support eliminating the U.S. Department of Education and giving control back to states and communities.
Agree
Since the federal government took a larger role in education, we’ve seen significant spending with inconsistent results. Education works best when decisions are made closer to students, families, and teachers. We should focus on accountability, efficiency, and ensuring resources deliver measurable improvements for students.
Foreign governments should be prohibited from funding American education.
Strongly Agree
The purpose of American education is to prepare students for the future—not advance outside interests. Funding sources should be clear and accountable. Foreign government funding raises concerns about transparency, influence, and national security and should not have a place in our education system.
VALUES
Attempts to physically or socially transition a child to the opposite sex constitute child abuse.
Neutral
These are deeply personal and complex situations that should be approached with compassion and not reduced to labels like “child abuse.” That term implies harm, which many parents are not seeking. At the same time, I do not support medical transition for minors. Children are still developing, and decisions with lifelong consequences should be made as adults, with appropriate support and care.
Marriage is a God-ordained, sacred and legal union of one man and one woman. No government has the authority to alter this definition.
Strongly Disagree
Marriage is a legal institution with rights and responsibilities involving property, family, and children, and government has a role in regulating it. In a diverse society, the law should treat people equally and protect individual freedom—ensuring marriage is available without discrimination while respecting religious beliefs.
Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.
My values are grounded in respect for others, personal responsibility, and treating people with fairness and dignity. I focus on solutions that bring people together and improve lives. In public service and daily life, I aim to act with integrity, compassion, and a strong sense of responsibility to do what is right.
ELECTIONS AND VOTING
People should be able to vote without photo identification.
Strongly Disagree
Voting should be accessible, secure, and trusted. Requiring identification can help maintain confidence in the system, but it must be implemented in a way that does not create unnecessary barriers for eligible voters. That means making identification easy to obtain, free where needed, and ensuring that no one is prevented from voting because of cost or access issues. We should not have to choose between access and security—we can and should have both.
EQUALITY
Biological males should not be allowed to participate in women's sports or occupy biological women's spaces whether it be bathrooms, locker rooms, sorority houses, women's shelters, or prison.
Agree
In competitive athletics, maintaining safe and fair competition is important, especially in categories designed to ensure equal opportunity for women. In places like locker rooms, shelters, and restrooms, privacy and safety matter. Policies should be clear and enforceable so women and girls feel safe and protected, while treating everyone with dignity and respect.
ENERGY & ENVIRONMENT
What do you believe is the most reliable energy source that will supply the growing demand for electricity?
Meeting growing electricity demand requires a reliable, balanced strategy. We should invest in a mix of always-available energy sources like natural gas and nuclear, while developing renewables where they make sense. No single source can meet demand.
ABOUT YOU
Have you ever been penalized for sexual misconduct in either civil or criminal court? If so, please explain.
No.
Have you ever been convicted of a felony? If so, please explain.
No.
When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and religious liberty, which of the following best describes you overall?
Moderate
I consider myself a moderate because I focus on practical solutions rather than ideology. I’m less concerned with political labels and more focused on what actually works—delivering results, improving accountability, and solving real problems.
CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY
Government has a responsibility to protect children from sexual exploitation during online activities.
Strongly Disagree
Protecting children from online exploitation is a fundamental responsibility. As more of young people’s lives move online, the risks have grown, and our policies need to keep up. Government should work with technology companies, law enforcement, and communities to strengthen safeguards and hold offenders accountable. This should never be a partisan issue.
2ND AMENDMENT
What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?
The right to own firearms is a constitutional protection, and responsible ownership matters. We should enforce existing laws, strengthen background checks, and ensure individuals who pose a clear risk do not have access to firearms. We should also address illegal trafficking. The goal is effective, enforceable solutions that protect public safety while respecting law-abiding citizens.
