Strongly Agree
I support 'aid in dying' laws which legalize assisted suicide and euthanasia.
Strongly Disagree
ECONOMY
What changes, if any, should be made to the tax code?
I would reduce/eliminate Ohio's individual income tax. I would rewrite the tax code to incentivize businesses to provide benefits and other services to their employees.
What government spending would you reduce in order to balance the budget?

HEALTHCARE
What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D)Tax-payer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be de-funded.
Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. We should look to produce job creation and workforce development programs that would allow individuals to climb the socioeconomic ladder.

Have you ever been convicted of a felony or been penalized in either civil or criminal court for sexual misconduct? If so, please explain.
Absolutely not.
What else would you like voters to know about you, including your legislative priorities?
I was born and raised in Toledo, and currently reside in Oregon with my wife and son. I am a local attorney, college professor, and school board president of a charter school. I am telling you where I am in my life so you can understand how far I have come in my life’s journey and why I deserve your support. I was a high school drop-out who went to work as a subcontractor for a railroad company where I was hurt on the job. At the age of twenty-one, I fell thirty feet and destroyed my spine. I laid in bed for six years and, after several major back surgeries, I dragged myself out of bed and began my recovery. So, what changed? My mindset! I went from seeing myself as a victim of my circumstances to a victor. I chose to claim victory over my life. I fought with the State of Ohio for over a year to be allowed to attend college while disabled. I enrolled at the University of Toledo when I was thirty- ears old, and by the time I turned thirty-five, I graduated from UT with three degrees including a law degree from the College of Law. Why do I tell you my life story? Because this is the leadership we need locally and in Columbus. This is a story our children need to hear and learn from. Like me, they need to see that they can take ownership of their lives and achieve a mindset that will make them an unstoppable force. As a candidate and a role model, they need to see how their life’s journey can overcome any adversity with hard work, determination, and dedication to personal growth. If I piqued your interest, then please take a moment, and learn more about my campaign and my journey to become the next State Representative for District 41. You can learn more at JoshWilliamsforOhio.com. With your support and your vote, we will claim victory in November. We will change the mindset of District 41. We will be victors and not the victim. We will change the direction of District 41 together.
