RIGHT TO LIFE
Under what circumstances should an elective abortion be allowed?
There is no circumstance in which both the baby's life and the mother's life should not tried to be saved. The trauma that the woman goes through for years after having an abortion in addition to taking the life of the baby should make everyone want to outlaw abortion in this state. Abortion is not taking care of the mother or the baby. My wife has worked in a pregnancy care center and has heard the heartbreaking stories of the women who wish they never did what they did on that day.
Chemical abortion drugs should meet essential safety standards (such as in-person consultation with a medical doctor) and require reporting to gather evidence on reactions and outcomes.
Strongly Agree
Chemical abortion drugs should also be outlawed. In many ways aborting a baby using chemical abortion drugs is worse for the mother and more painful for the baby. The trauma of having the abortion is there the guilt the mother has is still there.
Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).
Strongly Agree
All life is precious so we should not be giving any money for human life to be taken. Especially those that are most vulnerable in our society.
I support 'aid in dying' laws which legalize assisted suicide and euthanasia.
Strongly Disagree
All life is precious. This is nothing but a slippery slope that leads to nowhere good. Life is meant to be saved and prolonged not shortened. The elderly have much to offer us. Let us respect and revere the elderly in our society.
ECONOMY
Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.
Strongly Agree
What is your position on the minimum wage?
I believe it should be lower. Companies are going to pay more to those that work harder. That is the free enterprise system. The harder you work and the more skills you have the more you should make.
Should environmental and social issues, like ESG (environmental, social, and governance) ratings, be used as criteria in deciding where to invest public monies?
No
When speaking of environmental factors like carbon emissions, it is still being debated whether higher carbon dioxide in the atmosphere is bad. Plants grow larger and faster in higher carbon dioxide environments. In fact, greenhouses put carbon dioxide producers in their greenhouses to make the plants grow larger. The government telling companies who they can hire and not hire based on diversity and inclusion and not ability is racism.
RELIGIOUS LIBERTY
Under what circumstances can government close churches?
Under no circumstances should the government close churches. As Thomas Jefferson said, There should be a wall of separation between the government and churches. Jefferson said this because of the persecution that was taking place in Europe at the time.
Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.
Strongly Disagree
No one should be made to serve someone else if they do not want to. This is the government being racist and bigoted against those who do not look the same or act like they believe they should act. If they lose business because of their stance that is their business, not the governments.
HEALTHCARE
What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D) Taxpayer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be defunded.
Insurance has gotten worse since the government started funding healthcare for all. The free market system was much better and cheaper. Part of the employment package was the insurance that you received. C.
Under what circumstances (if any) should a government, school, or employer be allowed to require vaccinations?
There are no circumstances. I believe that men and women should have body autonomy.
NATIONAL SECURITY
The Chinese Communist Party poses serious military, cyber security, intellectual property, and global economic threats to the United States.
Strongly Agree
Is the United States' relationship with Israel important, and if so why?
Yes, because whoever blesses Israel is blessed, and whoever curses Israel is cursed.
IMMIGRATION
The U.S. should do more to physically secure the southern border.
Strongly Agree
A country is not a country if it does not have borders that those not from the country cannot cross. I believe that a wall should be made at our southern border to stop the flow of immigrants across. I believe criminals should be deported and most others as well that have come in during the past 3 to 4 years.
EDUCATION
The state should fund education by allowing dollars to follow the child through programs which protect parents' freedom to choose their child's school – public, private, or homeschool.
Strongly Agree
I strongly agree with this as long as there are no regulations attached to the money that is being received. Everyone who pays their taxes which fund the schools should be able to use that money for the education of their children. This would increase the competition and provide better education for all.
VALUES
Children are the most vulnerable members of society and must be protected from abuse, including gender ideology, grooming, and bodily mutilation.
Strongly Agree
Children change their minds as the weather changes in Indiana. They like one thing today and a different thing tomorrow. In fact research shows that almost all young people end up wanting to be the gender that they were born.
Parents should have the right to make decisions for their minor children.
Strongly Agree
God gave parents the right to raise their children as they see fit. However, I do not believe they have the right to change their child's gender because that would be going against the will of God as outlined in the Bible.
Taxpayer funds should be used to provide gender transition services.
Strongly Disagree
Marriage is a God-ordained, sacred and legal union of one man and one woman. No government has the authority to alter this definition.
Strongly Agree
Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.
I believe that the Bible is the Word of God and it contains the blueprint of how we should live. I believe that all laws are moral decisions and should be in concordance with the Bible. I believe that all men are born sinners in need of a savior and that God leads people to a saving knowledge of him. I also believe that those who are not saved will still have the best life they can if they follow the principles laid out in the Bible.
ELECTIONS AND VOTING
People should be able to vote without photo identification.
Disagree
We need to have secure elections which means that one person gets one vote.
States should join the National Popular Vote Interstate Compact which makes the Electoral College irrelevant.
Strongly Disagree
The Electoral College is needed so that the more populous states do not govern the country. This was the reason why the Electoral College was made in the first place. It was not because it was to hard to count every vote back in the 1800's. It was created so that states like Indiana had a voice in who was elected president. Candidates would only go to the most populous states and those states' believes would dictate the direction of the country.
EQUALITY
Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?
No, racism is not a threat. Racism is not the problem that it was even 20 years ago. People today seem not to care about a person's race.
I agree with Critical Race Theory (CRT) which asserts that the institutions in the United States are fundamentally racist.
Strongly Disagree
CRT perpetuates racism because by definition CRT is a racist philosophy. CRT says that a person is racist because of the color of their skin.
Biological males should not be allowed to participate in women's sports or occupy biological women's spaces whether it be bathrooms, locker rooms, sorority houses, women's shelters, or prison.
Strongly Agree
This is a dangerous philosophy for women. Those who perpetuate this philosophy do not care about women's rights and safety.
ENERGY & ENVIRONMENT
Which comes closest to your view? (Select all that apply) A) Stricter environmental laws and regulations cost too many jobs and hurt the economy. B) Stricter environmental laws and regulations are worth the cost. C) Stricter environmental laws undermine U.S. energy independence and deter development of reliable electricity sources. D) Climate change is real and requires urgent policy action.
A and C
What do you believe is the most reliable energy source that will supply the growing demand for electricity?
Coal, Nuclear, Fusion. Fusion will be the next big energy producer. I predict in the next 10 years because of recent breakthroughs in Fusion. Fusion will be available. Biomass would be another option for places like Indiana.
ABOUT YOU
Have you ever been penalized for sexual misconduct in either civil or criminal court? If so, please explain.
No
Have you ever been convicted of a felony? If so, please explain.
No
What do you think is the general purpose of government?
To protect, the people and the freedoms and laws that are found in the Constitution.
When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and religious liberty, which of the following best describes you overall?
Very Conservative
CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY
I support redirecting funds from police departments to community programs.
Strongly Disagree
I support the police and the job that they do.
2ND AMENDMENT
What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?
There should be no restrictions without due process. Red flag laws bypass the due process rights of the individual. Gun ownership is not just a right. It should be the responsibility of everyone to own a weapon to protect the populous against a tyrannical government.
Should teachers be allowed to carry guns at school?
Yes
Shooters attack unfortified targets. Schools at present are unfortified targets if shooters knew that they could be shot and killed if they entered a school with a gun they would probably pick a different target.
