QUESTIONNAIRE

RIGHT TO LIFE

Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?

None

Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).

Strongly Agree

Do you support the proposed Yes for Life amendment to the Kentucky Constitution, which makes clear that there is no state constitutional right to abortion?

Yes

I support 'aid in dying' laws which legalize assisted suicide and euthanasia.

Strongly Disagree

RELIGIOUS LIBERTY

Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.

Strongly Disagree

Under what circumstances can government close churches?

None

NATIONAL SECURITY

What should the United States do to help eradicate the threat of Islamic terrorism?

The United States should stop engaging in foreign wars that only serve to create blow back and further encourage Islamic terrorists to attack us in America. The rise of Isis is a perfect example. The United States should focus on our borders and what happens in our country.

I support the Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement to pressure Israel to withdraw from occupied territories, remove the separation barrier in the West Bank, allow full equality for Arab-Palestinian citizens of Israel, and promote the rights of Palestinian refugees.

Strongly Disagree

HEALTHCARE

What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D)Tax-payer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be de-funded.

In a perfect world, tax-payer funded health care could be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare could be de-funded. However, before this form of social welfare can be reduced or eliminated there needs to be a substantive change in the way health care companies and insurance companies operate from a national level. Their control over the healthcare marketplace must be reduced, and prices need to be properly adjusted to reflect reality. Until such time I support keeping these programs in place, but I would also push back against the insurance companies and drug companies that arbitrarily set prices to take advantage of the availability of public funding.

Under what circumstances (if any) should a government, school, or employer be allowed to require vaccinations?

None. Individuals should make their own medical decisions.

ECONOMY

What changes, if any, should be made to the tax code?

I support lowering and reducing income taxes and moving toward a sales tax structure. I support removing the vehicle tax. I support reducing taxes as a whole.

What government spending would you reduce in order to balance the budget?

I support reducing government spending as a whole. I would reduce the amount of public funds that go toward "corporate welfare." I would reduce the amount of unnecessary boards and commissions. I support reducing the duplication of services provided by our government and find efficiencies for example eliminating the Department of the Treasury and consolidating its functions into the Finance and Administration Cabinet.

Taxpayer-funded public education should be guaranteed through college.

Strongly Disagree

Not everyone needs to, or should, go to college. Nor should an individual's college education be funded entirely by the public. Higher Education should return its focus to education and research, and reduce the amount of funding it gives to college administrators and the competition for students (opulent and excessively costly dorm rooms, student centers, and the like).

IMMIGRATION

The U.S. should do more to physically secure the southern border.

Agree

Who should be allowed to immigrate to the U.S. and under what circumstances?

America is a country founded by immigrants seeking religious freedom, and a melting pot of ideas and nationalities. Anyone that is willing to adopt the values we share in America and support our country is welcome, so long as they are entering through legal means and maintaining that status as a productive and contributing member of society.

EDUCATION

The state should fund education by allowing dollars to follow the child instead of the bureaucracy, through a program which allows parents the freedom to choose their child's school – public, private, or homeschool.

Agree

CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY

Police officers should be personally immune from prosecution for conduct consistent with departmental policy (qualified immunity) while on duty.

Agree

I support redirecting funds from police departments to mental health and community programs.

Disagree

Police forces should not be defunded, however I do support police departments coordinating with mental health and community programs. In Erlanger we added a social worker to our police force to assist with the mental health and community aspects that your general officer is not trained to deal with. I believe that there needs to be great coordination between law enforcement and mental health and community programs, but they should not be unified into one department, or competing for funds.

2ND AMENDMENT

What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?

None

Victims of gun violence should be able to sue firearms dealers and manufacturers.

Strongly Disagree

OTHER IMPORTANT ISSUES

Do you support the expansion of gambling in Kentucky?

Yes

The LGBTQ+ agenda’s advocacy for puberty blockers, biological males competing on girls’ sports teams, and allowing biological males into girls’ restrooms, locker rooms, and showers threatens the wellbeing of our children.

Strongly Agree

ABOUT YOU

What do you think is the general purpose of government?

government should provide for 1) a national defense on the federal level and law enforcement on the local level, 2) infrastructure, and 3) public education at a local level. Until government can do those three things properly, it has no business doing anything else.

When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and religious liberty, which of the following best describes you overall?

Very Conservative

Please provide publicly available information, including interviews and media reports, validating your answer to the previous question (other than your website).

Did not answer

Have you ever been convicted of a felony or been penalized in either civil or criminal court for sexual misconduct? If so, please explain.

no

What else would you like voters to know about you, including your legislative priorities?

Did not answer

VALUES

Judeo-Christian values established a framework of morality which is necessary for our system of limited government.

Strongly Agree

I support adding gender identity as a specially protected class in non-discrimination laws.

Strongly Disagree

I agree with Critical Race Theory (CRT) which asserts that the institutions in the United States are fundamentally racist.

Strongly Disagree

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

I am a Christian. I grew up attending Erlanger Baptist Church, and was very involved in Yong Life as a high school student. I was very involved in the Baptist Student Union in College and served as a volunteer leader for Erlanger Baptist Church. I am very mission focused as a Christian and volunteer my time at the Northern Kentucky Emergency Shelter assisting the homeless, which I see as the population Christs asks Christians to serve first.

Marriage is a God-ordained, sacred and legal union of one man and one woman. No government has the authority to alter this definition

Strongly Agree

ELECTIONS AND VOTING

People should be able to vote without photo identification.

Strongly Disagree

What laws would you propose to change present voting practices?

I would remove the use of non-photo ids to vote. I would support exploring the use of block-chain technology to create fraud proof elections that still allow for anonymous voting in our elections.

EQUALITY

Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?

Yes. Any time that a group of people seeks to establish violent dominance over another group on the basis of skin color it creates a domestic security issue. In Kenosha, Wisconsin a community was burnt to the ground on the mere allegation that an act of racism toward a black man occurred. A white supremacist gunned down peaceful black church goers in Charleston, SC. Asian individuals have been unnecessarily targeted all over America. Each of these violent acts is a total breakdown of the ideas of liberty, equality, and justice that America stands for. Too often the issue of race is used to divide us for the political gain of a few individuals. The vast majority of individuals in America are not racist, rather our corporate media and politicians exploit what division exists to create instability and threaten our domestic security.

Reparations should be given to people on the basis of race.

Strongly Disagree

ENERGY & ENVIRONMENT

Which comes closest to your view? A) Stricter environmental laws and regulations cost too many jobs and hurt the economy. B) Stricter environmental laws and regulations are worth the cost.

Stricter environmental laws and regulations cost too many jobs and hurt the economy

I support the use of hydraulic fracking to extract oil and natural gas resources.

Strongly Agree
