RIGHT TO LIFE
Human life deserves legal protection from conception until natural death.
Neutral

What role should the school serve in helping a student with an unwanted or crisis pregnancy?
Schools have an important supportive role when a student is facing an unwanted or crisis pregnancy. They should focus on safety, wellbeing, access to resources, and educational stability, while respecting the student’s privacy and autonomy unless there is a safety risk or legal reporting requirement.
RELIGIOUS LIBERTY
With regard to public schools, what does "separation of church and state" mean to you?
To me, “separation of church and state” in public schools means that schools must stay neutral about religion—they cannot promote, require, or endorse any religious beliefs or practices. Students are free to express their own beliefs, but the school itself cannot take sides. Whether people agree with this idea or not, the purpose is to make sure every student feels included and respected, regardless of their faith or lack of faith.
ECONOMY
Student loan forgiveness unfairly shifts the financial burden to those not responsible for student debt.
Disagree
I paid off my student loan debt, and I am in favor of student loan forgiveness. It helps reduce financial stress on borrowers, strengthens the economy by freeing people to spend and invest more, and makes higher education more accessible for everyone.
What is your position on government funding of public education from Pre-K through college?
I support the government funding of public education from Pre-K through college. Research consistently shows that high-quality early childhood education improves long-term academic performance, reduces remediation costs, and supports working families.
IMMIGRATION
U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) enhances the safety and security of communities by identifying and detaining illegal aliens.
Disagree
EDUCATION
Abortion and gender-affirming providers, including Planned Parenthood, should be a resource for instruction or services in the school.
Disagree
Consequences for bad behavior create a safe and orderly environment, which is essential for student learning.
Strongly Agree
Educators should give students a thorough education in America's founding documents and cultivate American patriotism.
Disagree
Educators should give students a thorough education in America's founding documents.
I support eliminating the U.S. Department of Education and giving control back to states and communities.
Strongly Disagree
I do not support eliminating the U.S. Department of Education. This department is a very important part of ensuring national education standards, protecting students’ civil rights, supporting special education, and providing federal funding that many schools rely on.
If you support the teaching of Sex Ed, please answer the following question: Sexual education should include these topics (list all that apply and add your own, if needed) -- abortion methods and side effects; abstinence; consent; contraceptive methods; human anatomy/the reproductive system; physical and emotional health outcomes; sex acts and pleasures of sex; sexual orientation and gender identity; stages of pregnancy and fetal development
Sex education teaches students about health, safety, relationships, personal boundaries, and making responsible decisions. It focuses on helping students understand their bodies, respect others, communicate clearly, and stay safe emotionally and physically.
It is discriminatory for a school district to cause academically eligible students to forfeit participation in U.I.L. competition when the student opts for instruction outside of the public school system.
Disagree
If students are not enrolled in public schools, then they should forfeit participation in U.I.L. activities because U.I.L. programs are created, funded, and governed for public school students. Participation rules are tied to public school enrollment, so choosing another form of instruction naturally means giving up access to public-school-based competitions.
Please list in order the following priorities in relation to the role of a K-12 public school (omitting any that do not apply): American History, Art & Music, Civics, Critical Race Theory, Foreign Language, Gender Identity, Information Technology, Language Arts, Mathematics, Personal Finances, Physical Fitness, Political Activism, Science, Sexuality, Social Emotional Learning, Vocational Learning
Language Arts, Mathematics, Science, Art and Music, Personal Finances, Foreign Language, Informational Technology, Vocational Learning, Physical Fitness, Civics, Political Activism.
Public schools should prioritize academic achievement and building character necessary to preserve American traditions and self-government.
Disagree
Public schools should prioritize education academic achievement.
School choice creates competition, and that competition will push public schools to improve their educational systems.
Strongly Disagree
School choice can create problems for public schools because when funding follows students to private or charter schools, public schools are left with fewer resources but still have to serve all students—including those with higher needs.
2ND AMENDMENT
Faculty who are licensed to carry and have had ongoing training should be allowed to carry guns at school in order to respond to an active shooter situation.
Disagree
In rural schools, I believe that faculty who are licensed to carry and who receive rigorous, ongoing training should be allowed to carry firearms at school. Because these areas often have longer law-enforcement response times, trained staff could help respond more quickly in an active-shooter situation and potentially save lives.

Have you ever been convicted of a felony? If so, please explain.
