QUESTIONNAIRE
RIGHT TO LIFE
Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?
A family would have a grave choice ONLY if the mother’s life was at risk. Otherwise, there is no circumstance were I would support aborting a Child of God.
Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).
Strongly Agree
The government should not be funding abortions or organizations affiliated with the murder of unborn children.
I support 'aid in dying' laws which legalize assisted suicide and euthanasia.
Strongly Disagree
RELIGIOUS LIBERTY
Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.
Strongly Disagree
Businesses should have the ability to refuse services that violate their religious beliefs.
Under what circumstances can government close churches?
Never should the government have a say when a church should be closed.
NATIONAL SECURITY
What should the United States do to help eradicate the threat of Islamic terrorism?
Strong defense and intelligence. Vet all immigrants, visa requests with special focus on all known anti-US countries and, territories.
I support the Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement to pressure Israel to withdraw from occupied territories, remove the separation barrier in the West Bank, allow full equality for Arab-Palestinian citizens of Israel, and promote the rights of Palestinian refugees.
Strongly Disagree
God gave Israel to his people. The US should support that covenant relationship created by God and his chosen people.
HEALTHCARE
What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D)Tax-payer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be de-funded.
C with a transition to D. We should strive to remove the government out of the insurance business.
Under what circumstances (if any) should a government, school, or employer be allowed to require vaccinations?
None of these entities should be allowed to require vaccinations.
ECONOMY
What changes, if any, should be made to the tax code?
The tax code can be simplified. I would consider a flat tax initiative.
What government spending would you reduce in order to balance the budget?
All government programs should be up for yearly review. I would enact tighter controls and end Use it or Lose It budget rules, as it encourages wasteful spending and keeps our budget bloated.
Taxpayer-funded public education should be guaranteed through college.
Strongly Disagree
Schools across our land are failing. That is evident in the State of Alabama. I am a proud alumni of a public education. However, our public education system has become a place of indoctrination where Christian Conservative values have been removed and replaced with progressive ideologies. I feel like any government funding of education grades K-12 should follow the student wherever they chose to attend school (home, private, public). College: burden to the student.
IMMIGRATION
The U.S. should do more to physically secure the southern border.
Strongly Agree
Finish building the wall! Ensure enough agents and supplies are present in the area, detain-deport back to the country of origin, at the other country's expense.
Who should be allowed to immigrate to the U.S. and under what circumstances?
Immigrants that chose to enter the US with the proper visas, credentialing, and those seeking to become US citizens legally.
EDUCATION
I support school choice, including voucher programs, tax credits, charter schools, private schools, and home schools.
Strongly Agree
The money should follow the child.
CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY
Police officers should be personally immune from prosecution for conduct consistent with departmental policy (qualified immunity) while on duty.
Strongly Agree
I support redirecting funds from police departments to mental health and community programs.
Strongly Disagree
2ND AMENDMENT
What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?
We presently have more than enough protections that were put in place to "protect" public safety. However, as a conservative I understand that unlawful people will obtain firearms using means that are not within the present laws. Law abiding citizens are the ones that are "restricted". It is not often you have a felon going into a gun store or gun show attempting to purchase a firearm.
Victims of gun violence should be able to sue firearms dealers and manufacturers.
Strongly Disagree
No. The manufacture did not cause the violence. The evil in man's heart, his sins, result in gun violence.
ABOUT YOU
What do you think is the general purpose of government?
As defined in Article 1, Section 8 of the constitution - levy taxes, regulate commerce, create courts, maintain military, declare war. In layman's terms I believe the role of the government is to provide protections for people to obtain life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.
When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and religious liberty, which of the following best describes you overall?
Very Conservative
Please provide publicly available information, including interviews and media reports, validating your answer to the previous question (other than your website).
Enterprise City School Board Meeting July/August 2021 YouTube, where I called for Choice over Mandates. *I believe my portion of the video was conveniently removed from the content they posted. I have spoken at the Republican Women of Coffee County, SA Liberty regarding my beliefs, morals, and values.
Have you ever been convicted of a felony or been penalized in either civil or criminal court for sexual misconduct? If so, please explain.
No
What else would you like voters to know about you, including your legislative priorities?
My goal is to provide a conservative, common sense voice to the Alabama Legislature. A voice that will represent our God given rights along with those afforded by the Constitution of the US. A voice that will Stand Strong and Courageous in the face of peer pressure. A voice that will defend the citizens rights rather than the special interest groups.
VALUES
Judeo-Christian values established a framework of morality which is necessary for our system of limited government.
Strongly Agree
Our constitution and laws were created with these values and morality.
I support adding gender identity as a specially protected class in non-discrimination laws.
Strongly Disagree
We are male and female.
Marriage is a God-ordained, sacred and legal union of one man and one woman. No government has the authority to alter this definition
Strongly Agree
100%
I agree with Critical Race Theory (CRT) which asserts that the institutions in the United States are fundamentally racist.
Strongly Disagree
CRT is meant to divide and blame. It is being used as a tool to create ongoing conflict among our population.
Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.
I accepted Jesus Christ as my Lord & Savior at the age of 10 during Vacation Bible School. I believe the Bible is the HOLY and inspired word of God written to guide, encourage, and provide us HOPE as we navigate this world. We are all sinners in need of a Savior! Marriage is a sacred union between a man and a woman. We are called to honor God with our lives. We will fail as we journey. With a repentant heart and forgiveness from our Savior we are restored. We are joint heirs with Christ so that we may spend eternity in Heaven. God Bless Alabama and God Bless the United States of America!
ELECTIONS AND VOTING
People should be able to vote without photo identification.
Strongly Disagree
We should be required to show photo identification to prove our identity to cast a vote.
What laws would you propose to change present voting practices?
Ensure election security by only allowing legal citizens of the US to vote in our elections. That will look differently in each state as many have moved forward with election security laws. Ultimately, each voter should be required to show photo identification to verify their identity.
EQUALITY
Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?
The politicization of racism has shown the propensity to turn violent. We saw these so called "peaceful protests" result in death, destruction across the USA. For these reasons these radical groups do pose a threat to the domestic security in the USA.
Reparations should be given to people on the basis of race.
Strongly Disagree
ENERGY & ENVIRONMENT
Which comes closest to your view? A) Stricter environmental laws and regulations cost too many jobs and hurt the economy. B) Stricter environmental laws and regulations are worth the cost.
A.
I support the use of hydraulic fracking to extract oil and natural gas resources.
Strongly Agree
