QUESTIONNAIRE

RIGHT TO LIFE

Human life deserves legal protection from conception until natural death.

Strongly Agree

Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).

Strongly Agree

I am strongly opposed to abortion and in no circumstance should tax-payer dollars be used to allow it to continue.

Under what circumstances should an elective abortion be allowed?

In 2025, the KY General Assembly passed HB90 which specified conditions under which abortion could be considered regarding protecting the life of the mother and this condition is the only condition under which abortion should be considered.

The lives of human embryos created through artificial methods ought to be protected from purposeful destruction.

Strongly Agree

The Comstock Act, which bans interstate transportation of abortion-inducing drugs, should be enforced.

Strongly Agree

ECONOMY

Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.

Strongly Agree

What is your position on the minimum wage?

Raising it too high would be detrimental to businesses and the economy as we've seen in other states.

I support using taxpayer funds to lobby the state legislature.

Strongly Disagree

List your top 3-5 priorities to eliminate government waste.

Transparency. Determine where is the money going, who is tracking it and is it being utilized properly. Track down the waste and allow the public full access to review how their tax dollars are being spent. Accountability. Once waste is uncovered, strong accountability measures need to be taken, tighten up mechanism of spending and re-evaluate programs where the waste is occurring. Readjustment of appropriations utilizing zero-based budgeting.

RELIGIOUS LIBERTY

What does "separation of church and state" mean to you?

Separation of church and state is often misunderstood as a statement within our Constitution, however it came from a letter written by Thomas Jefferson to the Danbury Baptists Association in response to being discriminated against by the state for not being a part of the established church of Connecticut. Thomas Jefferson was a strong believer in religious liberty, as am I. The term "separation of church and state" is meant to uphold the liberties of the church without the interference of gov't.

Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.

Strongly Disagree

HEALTHCARE

What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D) Taxpayer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be defunded.

C. Medicaid and Medicare provide valuable services and should be protected, new oversight of the program through the Medicaid Oversight Advisory Board and HB 2 passed by the General Assembly aim to do that. The recent revelations of waste, fraud and abuse uncovered across the country and specifically here in KY reveal tremendous waste that could jeopardize the program. We need to ensure that those who need the program will have it and those who don't are able to access private healthcare options

The government should keep a database of people with various ongoing medical illnesses to assess the economic burden of treatment.

Strongly Disagree

Although I understand the desire to have access to this data, privacy protections and guardrails to protect anonymity would be necessary. Aggregate data collection would provide the necessary information without compromising the civil rights protections that need to be upheld. The events of Covid revealed how easily government overreach can occur, infringing on constitutional rights and individual liberty.

NATIONAL SECURITY

The Chinese Communist Party poses serious military, cyber security, intellectual property, and global economic threats to the United States.

Strongly Agree

Is the United States' relationship with Israel important, and if so why?

I believe it is important due to the historical significance and religious significance of the land. It is also the only remaining democratic country in the middle east, it is imperative that we do not allow another country to lose it's ground to threat of Islam.

IMMIGRATION

I support the existence of sanctuary cities to protect undocumented persons.

Strongly Disagree

EDUCATION

I support eliminating the U.S. Department of Education and giving control back to states and communities.

Strongly Agree

The formation of the Dept of Education has led to decades of bureaucracy that have burdened our schools at incredibly high financial costs and it has not improved student outcomes. It is past time for states to regain control of their education systems.

Foreign governments should be prohibited from funding American education.

Strongly Agree

Foreign dollars have no place in American education. The infiltration of hundreds of billions from China and Middle Eastern countries have not only weakened national security, but have infiltrated our schools with agendas that are anti-American.

VALUES

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

I believe Jesus is the Son of God who died for the sins of the world. He rose and conquered death granting everyone the opportunity of eternal salvation through faith. I believe the Bible is the living Word of God and can guides us with eternal wisdom through every aspect of our lives. God has instilled within each person a desire to know Him and in knowing Him, he grants us a fulfilled life in serving Him through the purposes He ordain for us. Grace has been freely given to us, and our lives and actions should - inasmuch as possible with our broken lives - be full of grace to others.

Marriage is a God-ordained, sacred and legal union of one man and one woman. No government has the authority to alter this definition.

Strongly Agree

I strongly agree that marriage is God-ordained between a man and a woman. The union of a man and a woman brings life into the world, and this family unity is sacred and should be protected.

I support the expansion of gambling in my state.

Neutral

Government should recognize and support the fundamental right and essential duty of parents to direct their child's upbringing, including their religious, health, and educational well-being.

Strongly Agree

Absolutely! The role of parents in their children's lives is immeasurable. Government should do everything it can to support and build up the family unit and allow parents to fulfill their duty to raise their children. Strong families are the foundation of a successful society.

Attempts to transition or encourage a child to transition to the opposite sex constitutes child abuse.

Strongly Agree

Children should never be coerced or encouraged into believing they were born into the wrong body nor that there is any way a person can change their sex. Leading a child toward a path to irreversible trans procedures; wrong-sex hormones, mastectomies, genital surgeries is child-abuse. If a child truly is suffering from gender dysphoria, they should receive compassionate counseling through that process and encouraged that they are perfect the way they are.

ELECTIONS AND VOTING

People should be able to vote without photo identification.

Strongly Disagree

Photo voter ID is vital to having secure elections and there is no excuse not to have that very basic safeguard in place. Last session I removed the remaining weak points of Voter ID in our statutes, eliminating social security cards and EBT/SNAP cards as a form of ID and it has now become law.

EQUALITY

Reparations should be given to people on the basis of race.

Strongly Disagree

Biological males should not be allowed to participate in women's sports or occupy biological women's spaces whether it be bathrooms, locker rooms, sorority houses, women's shelters, or prison.

Strongly Agree

Men cannot become women. Women deserve the basic protections of privacy and safety. Under no circumstance should a male pretending to be a female be allowed in women's spaces. There are clear biological differences that disadvantage women & girls putting their safety at risk.

ENERGY & ENVIRONMENT

What do you believe is the most reliable energy source that will supply the growing demand for electricity?

The most reliable is what is found in nature; coal, natural gas and oil. However, advancing nuclear programs show very promising results that can meet demand and may become a very reliable source as programs across the state begin to take shape.

Man-made climate change is a global threat and requires urgent political action.

Disagree

ABOUT YOU

When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and religious liberty, which of the following best describes you overall?

Very Conservative

Have you ever been penalized for sexual misconduct in either civil or criminal court? If so, please explain.

No.

Have you ever been convicted of a felony? If so, please explain.

No.

CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY

What should be the goal of the criminal justice system?

First, to implement justice for those who have been wronged and to uphold the laws that maintain safety and order in our society. Second, to bring about true reform for the offender in the hope that, if release is an option, they will be able to integrate into society and have a successful life.

Sharia law should not be accepted or incorporated in any form within the legal framework of the United States.

Strongly Agree

Sharia law is not compatible with United States of America and western civilization. It is in clear contradiction to our Constitution and Bill of Rights. It's rapid growth across the western world should bring great concern as their goal is not integration nor the right to practice their religion. Their goal is to conquer and overthrow and that threat needs to be taken very seriously.

The government should use automated-enforcement cameras to track speeding and criminal activity.

Strongly Disagree

2ND AMENDMENT

What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?

The 2nd amendment needs to be protected and the right to gun ownership not infringed.
