Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).

Under what circumstances should an elective abortion be allowed?
I do not believe in abortion; however, if the life of the mother is terminally threatened due to the child than based on informed consent by the mother to choose her life or the baby is appropriate. I support informed consent policy for a woman who has been raped and is in the S.A.R.T. evaluation to be availed treatment to avoid the possibility of getting pregnant by the perpetrator.
Human life deserves legal protection from conception until natural death.

The lives of human embryos created through artificial methods ought to be protected from purposeful destruction.

Minimum wage should be defined as the necessary wage to provide housing, food, transportation, and simple accommodations toward life, liberty, and happiness. Increasing minimum wage is "chasing the dragon" as housing and cost of living will increase

1) Collaboration of State cyber systems rather department silos that do not talk to one another and result in excessive, redundant work. 2) State Constitutional Convention to include the long term PFD formula for Alaska residents and hold government accountable spending. 3) Bond Caps to not exceed formula common of bank lending with residents 4) Budget appropriation planning based on requests for projects rather funds to spend before the next budget. 5) Long term planning with economic review
RELIGIOUS LIBERTY
What does "separation of church and state" mean to you?
Separation of state dictating church. This does not inhibit faith based people and religious institutions being involved in state or threatened if "involved in state." There needs to be a repeal of President Johnson's threat on church, non-profit status if involved in "state concerns." The Constitution starts with speech and religious freedom. I am proud to have campaign signs state "In God We Trust."
Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.

Government should not dictate moral and religious beliefs for churches nor individuals and businesses. If a person dislikes an individual or businesses due to moral or religious position then they can find another business to patronize.
HEALTHCARE
What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D) Taxpayer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be defunded.
B) and E) Healthcare should review and eliminate Certificate of Need to allow free enterprise, standardize CPT code reimbursement formulas, set policy to remove deep pocket Tort extortion on doctor and clinics, and examine why other countries avail quality healthcare at a substantial discounted rate. I have sought quality healthcare treatment in other countries (e.g. Costa Rica, Thailand, Spain) at 25% of the cost compared to Alaska and in an expeditious manner.
The government should keep a database of people with various ongoing medical illnesses to assess the economic burden of treatment.

Those people who are receiving government healthcare should be in a EMR system availed to all recognized providers in order to avail increased Continuity of Care and in so doing reduced economic burden.

The Chinese Communist Party poses serious military, cyber security, intellectual property, and global economic threats to the United States.

China has policy to influence other countries like the U.S.; however, its policies are to institute economic take over of countries who do not pay their debts.

YES The history of the U.S. with Israel has not always been as unified. Those countries who bless Israel are so too blessed. The stability of the Middle East is related to a stable State of Israel.

What should be the goal of the criminal justice system?
Two goals of criminal justice / public safety is to inform the public of the social norms, which those who are receptive and mindful are better residents; however, for those who refuse to recognize the societal norms are confronted to reconsider their choices and in some situations to isolate them from society. The goal of criminal justice is ideally to help reform to help people re-enter society in a successful manner and those who refuse are limited to intrude upon society.
Government has a responsibility to protect children from sexual exploitation during online activities.

I strongly agree to protect our children. Online services are very challenging to monitor, as the origin could be occurring outside of Alaska / U.S. Parental involvement is foundational. Government informed programs is very important.

What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?
I strongly believe in the 2nd Amendment. I have concerns for ownership by people who have proven criminal behaviors or mental health concerns. I also have concerns of prolonged restricted ownership by people who need guns for subsistence living (Alaska).
