QUESTIONNAIRE
RIGHT TO LIFE
Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).
Strongly Agree
The choice to abortion should come to the expense of the parent(s) versus the taxpayers. In the event of medical necessity or rape programs should be available to assist the Mother at all levels of government should they choose to terminate the endangered or unwanted pregnancy.
I support 'aid in dying' laws which legalize assisted suicide and euthanasia.
Strongly Disagree
Our time in the physical is up to our creator. I don't think they need our assistance in ending life before they are ready for it to end.
Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?
Medical necessity - that in whcih threatens life to the mother or the unborn child and in the instance of Rape/Incest. Mothers should not be subjugated to carrying and raising a child(ren) under forced conditions in which the father of the child would not be in their lives in these circumstances.
ECONOMY
Redistribution of income is needed to lessen the gap between the wealthy and working classes.
Strongly Disagree
Income and wealth is a subjective matter. No matter how you redistribute income it will not accommodate the varying financial circumstances of each household or individual(s).
The government should cut spending in order to reduce the national debt.
Strongly Agree
Defense spending in overseas operations and funding the Ukraine-Russia War are unnecessary at this point.
What changes, if any, should be made to the tax code?
The tax code should be levied across the board as a flat tax rate for businesses at 33%. Individual/Families 15% and the State covers the remaining 52%.
RELIGIOUS LIBERTY
Religious liberty is at risk in the United States and deserves the highest level of protection in the law.
Strongly Agree
See 1st amendment.
Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.
Strongly Disagree
See 1st Amendment.
What should be the relationship between the church and the state?
The Church and State should work together to foster the needs of their population. As we recognize the various religions in the US, each entity should have a place in the state where they can work with government (local, state, and federal) to provide support and necessary accommodations to support their respective communities. However, the role of the State is not to dictate what the Church(es) or any religious entity can and cannot do in the regards of their belief systems in order to appease government driven agendas.
HEALTHCARE
Under what circumstances (if any) should a government, school, or employer be allowed to require vaccinations?
ONLY in the case of diseases that are uncommon to the population. For example - US Forces going overseas to foreign lands where the population may be accustomed to certain indigenous diseases that are not common to the US Forces. Otherwise, vaccinations should be determined by the patient and doctor relationship.
What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D)Tax-payer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be de-funded.
Most closely to C.
NATIONAL SECURITY
With regard to America's foreign policy, which view most closely resembles yours: A) The United States should intervene whenever freedom is threatened. B) The United States should selectively help countries trying to grow democracy and fight tyranny. C) The United States has become too involved in others' policies and should remain focused on issues regarding our own sovereignty unless in imminent danger. D) The United States should stay out of foreign conflicts completely.
C.
I support the Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement to pressure Israel to withdraw from occupied territories, remove the separation barrier in the West Bank, allow full equality for Arab-Palestinian citizens of Israel, and promote the rights of Palestinian refugees.
Neutral
The conflict between Israel and Palestine is very complex. While I support the rights of any people as sovereign individuals - we must consider the umbrella of tyranny and terrorism that is also derived from these same groups. There can be a two-state solution between the two nations if they allow themselves to come to that agreement and remove any extremism or conflicting motives from their respective agendas.
The Chinese Communist Party poses serious military, cyber security, intellectual property, and global economic threats to the United States.
Agree
While the CCP does pose these sorts of threats to the US, we must be also cognizant of the economic and material reliance we have with China. As long as this type of relationship exists there will always be a threat of this nature. The US must work towards becoming an independent supplier and producer for itself with limited trade with both adversarial and partnering nations.
What should the United States do to help eradicate the threat of Islamic terrorism?
The US needs to understand you cannot legislate or bomb the way of life and mentality out of Islamic terrorist or any other terrorist organizations. The US should take a more "Seek to understand, then be understood" approach when dealing with terrorist organizations. Understanding their why is essential in dismantling the mindset and subsequently the organization.
IMMIGRATION
The U.S. should do more to physically secure the southern border.
Strongly Agree
Enforce the laws we have. Period.
State and federal funds shall be denied to any public or private entity, such as a sanctuary city, that is not in compliance with immigration laws.
Strongly Agree
Goes back to enforcing the laws.
Who should be allowed to immigrate to the U.S. and under what circumstances?
Everyone should be allowed to immigrate to the US provided they are able to be slef-sustaining and willing to be contributing members of the American society.
VALUES
Sexual orientation and gender identity should be protected classes in non-discrimination laws.
Strongly Agree
One's sexual orientation should not be used against them as a basis of anything they are doing in life. In other words, they should be discriminated against. Gender identity boils down to Male and Female. You are either one based on what you are born with scientifically speaking - so no you should not be discriminated against if you are a Man or a Woman.
I agree with Critical Race Theory (CRT) which asserts that the institutions in the United States are fundamentally racist.
Strongly Disagree
The term fundamentally racist is overarchingly broad and very subjective. An institution cannot be racist, however the administrators of said institution can be. If you have a Department under the Executive branch led by minorities, are we asserting that the minorities are complicit in this alleged racism that "fundamentally" exists in this institution or is only applicable if it was "White" led?
Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.
I am a Southern Baptist Christian by social standards - meaning the social construct of religious design. However, I ascribe to being more spiritual than religious and my values are based on the liberties and freedoms enshrined to me by God, Country, and our Constitution as written.
ELECTIONS AND VOTING
People should be able to vote without photo identification.
Strongly Disagree
Voter integrity and the need for identification is paramount to a safe, secure, and fair election. If we are required to provide photo ID for flights, banking, hotel reservations, and virtually every other life functioning event, voting should not be the exception. "Voter fraud anywhere is a threat to election integrity everywhere."
What laws would you propose to change present voting practices?
You are United States Citizen, Age of 18, with photo ID, and have a fundamental understanding of our government and political process. In other words, I am in favor of having literacy tests only focused on the how our government works, and the basics of the US Constitution and elected office. This is quite similar to the US Constitution test required to pass and graduate from High School in the 90s.
EQUALITY
Reparations should be given to people on the basis of race.
Strongly Disagree
No. It is a ridiculous idea to pay someone for something that their ancestors endured over 100 years ago. By this idea just empty the federal reserve and send everyone a check for a few million and call it even.
Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?
No, it is not. Racially motivated activities are not prevalent enough to have the domestic security of the US in question. If there was such a great concern in this regard the FBI, CIA, and DOJ are focusing on the wrong things at present and should direct thier attention to these issues - if they actually exist.
ENERGY & ENVIRONMENT
I support the use of hydraulic fracking to extract oil and natural gas resources.
Strongly Agree
Provided the technological advances made today; I believe we can exercise these practices safely with little to no impact on the environment at-large.
Which comes closest to your view? A) Stricter environmental laws and regulations cost too many jobs and hurt the economy. B) Stricter environmental laws and regulations are worth the cost.
A.
ABOUT YOU
When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and religious liberty, which of the following best describes you overall?
Conservative
Please provide publicly available information, including interviews and media reports, validating your answer to the previous question (other than your website).
@rpurham on virtually all social media platforms. My Rumble page that contains my videos/shows.
Have you ever been convicted of a felony or been penalized in either civil or criminal court for sexual misconduct? If so, please explain.
No.
What else would you like voters to know about you, including your legislative priorities?
I listen and will work for the American people and not the special interests groups or the overseas influencers that have infiltrated the halls of our governing institutions. When elected, I will work to end the Jones' Act that is hurting our trade and economic growth domestically and I will work to break the stranglehold the government has on Alaska through the ANILCA Act.
CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY
Police officers should be personally immune from prosecution for conduct consistent with departmental policy (qualified immunity) while on duty.
Neutral
I am neutral here because depending on the review of the department policy, that policy may have loopholes or verbiage that will be open to interpretation and give Officers the latitude to "walk the line" or egregiously do something in the appearance of doing their job.
I support redirecting funds from police departments to mental health and community programs.
Disagree
Funding should be equally available to support all programs needed to support the communities.
2ND AMENDMENT
What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?
"The Right of the People to keep and bear arms SHALL NOT BE INFRINGED." I think people should actually look up the word infringed and understand it before having any further discussions about gun ownership.
Victims of gun violence should be able to sue firearms dealers and manufacturers.
Strongly Disagree
Nope. I would be a proponent of suing the family for their neglect or something. Would you sue the company that made knives if you were stabbed? Would you sue the tire company or the car dealer if you were hit by a car? Would you sue the meat supplier if you got food poisoning from the improper storage at the grocery store or restaurant? Do we now see how ridiculous this is?
