I consider myself classically 'safe, legal, and rare' pro choice. I emotionally do not like abortion, but I don't know everyone's life and circumstance, and I do not believe in governance based on emotion. In my opinion, as far as the federal government is concerned, I would draw the line at up to the point of autonomy where if the fetus were removed it could realistically survive on its own. Outside of that it should not be a federal matter.

Every time a new omnibus spending bill is passes, they claim that this will be the one that turns it around. Clearly it isn't working. We are going through record inflation and national debt. It is like using a high interest credit card to pay off gambling debt. We desperately need to wrestle government spending under control before we no longer have the choice.

Taxation is extortion. We all see the wanton waste and corruption in Federal spending, and more spending isn't going to fix it. I do not like the system of taxation, but if it must exist, we need to shrink tax code wherever possible and simplify it to the point where tax experts are not needed. I fully believe in separation of church and state, but that America should be a place for everyone to live as they see fit. Government should neither promote nor suppress faith.

D. I absolutely want everyone to have access to healthcare, but I truly believe that the free market has better solutions. If we fully socialized healthcare, then now the government gets to dictate what services you do or do not get (there's a reason that Canadians that can afford to come to the US for treatment). In our current hybrid system, the deficits of government funded healthcare transfer additional cost to others that utilize the same services. You could still absolutely have free medical service for those in need through volunteerism and philanthropy. If we get the government out of the way, then competition will greatly dive down prices.

I would sympathize more with Palestinian forces if they focused more on on investing in their economic development instead of unguided missiles for targeting civilians. The biggest threat is their theft of intellectual property. The US has exported much of our production to China, and switched our focus to creating intellectual properties. If China steals these properties without consequence, what are we left with? What is the incentive to American creators to make new things if its going to be stolen?

Western intervention has basically created modern Islamic terrorism over the last century. I do not argue that there isn't current threats, but I believe the best course of action is to transition out of our foreign involvement, and stop giving new generations of people reasons to hate us.

I believe in peoples right to seek a better life. I think they need to do so the right way, and in the right place. I support immigration reform to make this process more timely, simple and streamlined. I do not support government welfare for people who immigrate. They are choosing to take the risk to seek a better life, and any support they get should come from private organizations.

I would have to see the particular law in order to say how I would vote, as I support everyone's right to identify as they will but I do not think that should be a reason to give them an advantage either. I believe both sides of the traditional political aisle love to admire the problems in voting, and support systems that benefit their party exclusively. I would support bipartisan voting reform that ensures that our elections are secure, safe, and accessible. The American people deserve elections that they can participate in and that have such good integrity that it cannot be questioned, and currently we do not have that.

We have self immolated our resource economy in the name of progress, while simultaneously exporting those jobs to foreign countries where they do it dirtier than we ever did; to some places where they still use slave labor, or where you can kill someone for being gay. Where's the outrage over that? I want resource extraction done here, where we care what the impact is, where we make good jobs and where we can do so sustainably with the lowest possible impact. If people do not support US based resource extraction, they are the worse kind of hypocrite and have no right to use those resources.

My top goal would be to decentralize power as much as possible, and to ensure decisions are made at the state and local level where you actually have the option to hold people accountable. Half of America doesn't want to live the way you want them to. Accept that, decide it in your state, and accept that others will do the same. The hard truth of our current political state is that it took both republicans and democrats to get us 20 years of war, and 30 trillion in debt. We are culturally about as divided as we ever have been. The stakes could not be higher, and if we collectively cannot make a major change in how we conduct politics soon, then I am pessimistic for what the future holds for us.

I do not support restrictions on gun ownership, and would actively fight back on many that currently exist such as the NFA. We don't have a gun issue, we have a mental health issue. This is a blatantly absurd point of view. You should not be able to sue a manufacturer for misuse of a tool. If the gun malfunctioned, then sure they are liable. But as for shootings absolutely not, that's a person that did that horrible act. Can you sue a liquor manufacturer for getting too drunk and injuring yourself in a fall? Can you sue a car manufacturer for drunk driving? This argument is purely an attempt to make firearm ownership prohibitively hard and expensive.
