QUESTIONNAIRE

RIGHT TO LIFE

Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).

Strongly Agree

I will oppose all federal funding for abortion.

Chemical abortion drugs should meet essential safety standards (such as in-person consultation with a medical doctor) and require reporting to gather evidence on reactions and outcomes.

Strongly Agree

Chemical abortions don't just end the life of an innocent preborn baby, the side effects of these dangerous pills are harmful to the mothers ingesting them as well. As such, I will support legislation that restores the FDA's previous risk evaluation and mitigation strategy (REMS) and seek to end chemical abortions in America.

Under what circumstances should an elective abortion be allowed?

Every child has a right to be born and every child must be protected. As a physician, I know there's no such thing as a "medically required" abortion. If the mother's life is in danger, every medical procedure and effort should be focused on saving the lives of the mother and the baby. If the baby dies as a result of the medical procedure, that is a tragic miscarriage, not an abortion.

Does the federal government have a role to play in limiting abortion, and if so what federal steps and/or federal legislation would you support?

I support putting an end to every avenue of taxpayer funding for abortion and will support the passage of a Federal ban on abortion.

RELIGIOUS LIBERTY

What does "separation of church and state" mean to you?

Separation of church and state simply means ensuring the government doesn't establish and mandate an official religion for citizens to adhere to. Unfortunately, this term has been hijacked by the radical Left to pursue an agenda that uses the government to attack Christianity. I stand against this radical distortion.

Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.

Strongly Disagree

Absolutely not. This is fundamentally against the First Amendment rights of Americans. I will oppose every piece of legislation that requires such mandates.

NATIONAL SECURITY

With regard to America's foreign policy, which view most closely resembles yours: A) The United States should intervene whenever freedom is threatened. B) The United States should selectively help countries trying to grow democracy and fight tyranny. C) The United States has become too involved in others' policies and should remain focused on issues regarding our own sovereignty unless in imminent danger. D) The United States should stay out of foreign conflicts completely.

C) The United States has become too involved in others' policies and should remain focused on issues regarding our own sovereignty unless in imminent danger.

The Chinese Communist Party poses serious military, cyber security, intellectual property, and global economic threats to the United States.

Strongly Agree

A great example of this is the farmland under attack in North Dakota. There is zero excuse for major corporations to be selling our great farmland to the Chinese Communist Party. It is in our national interest to keep nations that want to see us fail out of our most precious natural resources.

Is the United States' relationship with Israel important, and if so why?

In one of the most volatile regions in the world, Israel remains a beacon of stability. Time and time again, America has stood with her ally Israel against our mutual adversaries in the Middle East to maintain this fragile peace. I support Israel in its legal, historical, moral, and God-given right of self-governance and self-defense upon the entirety of its own lands, recognizing that Israel is neither an attacking force nor an occupier of the lands of others.

What are the causes of decline in U.S. military recruitment and retention?

The "woke" agenda combined with a concentrated effort by Leftists to tell our nation's youth the lie that "America was never great" has caused the plummet in recruitment and retention. When a potential recruit is told "America was never great," what motivation would they have to defend their country with their life?

HEALTHCARE

Under what circumstances (if any) should a government, school, or employer be allowed to require vaccinations?

I oppose government-mandated vaccination requirements.

What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D) Taxpayer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be defunded.

C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary.

ECONOMY

What actions would you take that would allow Americans to retain more of their income and wealth?

I support abolishing the income tax and will vote for all tax cuts that come up for a vote. I will not support adding to our debt. Debt spending contributes significantly to inflation, which is a confiscation of wealth.

Student loan forgiveness unfairly shifts the financial burden to those not responsible for student debt.

Strongly Agree

It is not fair that those who opt not to go to college to pay the debt of those who do. It sets a precedent that will lead to incentivizing bad personal financial decisions.

Should environmental and social issues, like ESG (environmental, social, and governance) ratings, be used as criteria in deciding where to invest public monies?

No

Absolutely not. ESG is fascism and will eradicate individual freedom. It must be opposed in every aspect of government.

IMMIGRATION

The U.S. should do more to physically secure the southern border.

Strongly Agree

The failure to declare an illegal invasion at the border and take immediate action is grounds for impeachment. Under the Biden administration – dangerous drugs, cartel thugs, and human trafficking have all created a humanitarian crisis along our southern border. We must secure our border immediately, and finish building President Trump’s wall.

Who should be allowed to immigrate to the U.S. and under what circumstances?

I am in favor of immigration for all persons who desire to come for opportunity, who believe in our system of government, and who want to be Americans. However, they must be vetted properly for the security of our nation.

EDUCATION

I support school choice, including voucher programs, tax credits, charter schools, private schools, and home schools.

Strongly Agree

Our children are our most sacred resource, and Democrats’ Marxist ideology is seeking to corrupt our society. Giving parents the power over where their children attend school will put an end to this and unleash their child's full academic potential instead of being trapped in an underperforming school.

I support eliminating the U.S. Department of Education and giving control back to states and communities.

Strongly Agree

Decentralization is the best education policy. Local and state governments have a far better understanding of their educational needs than the Washington, D.C. swamp.

CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY

I support redirecting funds from police departments to community programs.

Strongly Disagree

2ND AMENDMENT

What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?

I am 100% pro-gun, no compromise. As the lead sponsor of ND's Constitutional Carry Act and the 2nd Amendment Preservation Act, I always have been and always will be a champion for the 2nd Amendment. Federal gun control must not be accepted. Democrats are looking for every chance to destroy our right to bear arms. I will be a defender of your freedoms every step of the way. I will support national reciprocity, vote to remove all federal laws putting restrictions and limitations on our gun rights.

JUDICIAL PHILOSOPHY

The Supreme Court should be reformed to include more seats.

Strongly Disagree

I oppose the radical Left's efforts to pack the courts.

ABOUT YOU

When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and religious liberty, which of the following best describes you overall?

Very Conservative

I'm a Constitutional Conservative and I have a consistent voting record that backs my philosophy.

What do you think is the general purpose of government?

I believe in Thomas Jefferson's quote, "The government that governs least, governs best." The Federal government should be constrained to the confines of the U.S. Constitution and all powers not authorized to the Federal government in the U.S. Constitution are best left to the states. The only true, legitimate purpose of government is to protect life, liberty, and property.

Have you ever been penalized for sexual misconduct in either civil or criminal court? If so, please explain.

No

Have you ever been convicted of a felony? If so, please explain.

No

VALUES

Marriage is a God-ordained, sacred and legal union of one man and one woman. No government has the authority to alter this definition.

Strongly Agree

The traditional nuclear family has been the backbone of America's success as a country. The traditional nuclear family offers stability, emotional support, and a strong foundation for children's development. It fosters values, teaches responsibility, and provides a sense of belonging and security.

Children are the most vulnerable members of society and must be protected from abuse, including gender ideology, grooming, and bodily mutilation.

Strongly Agree

We must protect our children from harmful transgender and anti-American ideology – plain and simple. Men do not belong in women’s sports, children’s reading circles should be filled with the Little Engine that Could and not your local drag show, and no minor should ever be subjected to life-altering, “gender-affirming” hormones or mutilating surgery.

Taxpayer funds should be used to provide gender transition services.

Strongly Disagree

Absolutely not. As a physician, I took the Hippocratic oath to do no harm to patients and mutilating children is very harmful. History will not be kind to medical professionals and woke activists eager to promote and perform such surgeries.

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

I believe in the teachings of Jesus Christ. I hold same the Judeo-Christian values that our country’s founders held.

ELECTIONS AND VOTING

People should be able to vote without photo identification.

Strongly Disagree

Requiring photo identification is a fundamental part of protecting the integrity of our elections and must be implemented if we want to ensure secure and transparent elections.

The Electoral College should be abolished.

Strongly Disagree

I oppose the Marxist effort to repeal the Electoral College.

EQUALITY

I agree with Critical Race Theory (CRT) which asserts that the institutions in the United States are fundamentally racist.

Strongly Disagree

Ironically, Critical Race Theory (CRT) is dividing our nation after so many historical milestones that have led to a nation where anyone, regardless of their race or sex can succeed in America. Government support for CRT is leading to a society where people are judged on characteristics instead of their merit

Biological males should not be allowed to participate in women's sports or occupy biological women's spaces whether it be bathrooms, locker rooms, sorority houses, women's shelters, or prison.

Strongly Agree

This shouldn't even be up for debate. Basic biology determines your gender.

ENERGY & ENVIRONMENT

Man-made climate change is a global threat and requires urgent political action.

Strongly Disagree

A government that can't even secure our borders or figure out the accurate definition of what a woman should not be trusted to protect our environment.

What do you believe is the most reliable energy source that will supply the growing demand for electricity?

Our own fossil fuels, unhampered by the Federal government, are the most reliable energy source we have. They greatly bolster our national security. Additionally, nuclear energy is inadequately utilized.
