What else would you like voters to know about you, including your legislative priorities?
ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT & JOB CREATION My top priority is to empower job creators and create an environment where small businesses can grow and thrive. We achieve that goal by keeping government out of the private sector and reducing burdensome regulations and obstacles to entrepreneurship. In my seven years on Chandler City Council, I’ve done just that. We created an environment that fostered economic growth by developing the Price Road Corridor, which was a major factor in decisions by Northrup Grumman and Wells Fargo to relocate to Chandler. Our commitment to lower taxes and a business-friendly environment spurred Intel to invest $20 Billion to ensure Chandler is the innovation and technology hub of the Southwest. I’ll take this commitment and record of low taxes, reduced regulation, and pro-growth policies to Washington D.C. to jump start our economy and get Americans working again. BORDER SECURITY & IMMIGRATION We need to get serious about the crisis at our Border. The Biden/Harris administration and the Democrats in Congress have neglected border security entirely and put our country at risk. While I support legal immigration and encourage those who are coming to the United States to pursue the American Dream, we cannot ignore the security of our border to accomplish that mission. The first step is to secure the border and finish the construction of the border wall. Then we need to address a merit-based system for immigration that rewards those that are hardworking and committed to pursuing the American Dream and bettering their lives. FISCAL RESPONSIBILITY & ACCOUNTABILITY The most important aspect about being a local leader and government official is that I’m a steward of taxpayer dollars. It’s not the government’s money we allocate to budgets, it’s your hard-earned tax dollars. We owe it to our constituents to use that money wisely and as conservatively as possible. It is our responsibility to end wasteful spending, trim our budgets, and keep your money in your wallet. I’m committed to fighting against the reckless spending by Biden and the Democrats in Congress. We can’t keep burdening future generations with this unrelenting and unmanageable debt. It’s time to rein in our spending, trim budgets and be more efficient with less. SUPPORTING VETERANS We have been prosecuting the Global War on Terror for over 20 years, with significant effects on our Veterans. We must provide our Veterans with the resources to have a successful transition from military to civilian life. They deserve a healthcare system that addresses the numerous injuries, physical and mental, that occur on and off the battlefield. We need to ensure that former service members have the resources in place to secure gainful employment following their separation from military service. As a Veteran Naval Officer, I owe it to my brothers and sisters to ensure we honor their sacrifice and support them when they need it most. SECOND AMENDMENT The Constitution makes it clear: The right to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed. I am a strong supporter of the Second Amendment. I believe we are a safer society when we respect Americans’ rights to defend themselves. SUPPORTING LAW ENFORCEMENT For any community to grow and thrive, residents must feel safe. Effective, innovative law enforcement is pivotal to that goal. I’m proud to have worked with the Chandler Police Department to help make Chandler one of America’s safest cities. Our police officers have a thankless job, I’m proud to ‘have their six’. One of my proudest achievements was working with my colleagues to provide detectives advanced technology to enhance the capabilities for the Crimes Against Children Unit and improve their ability to protect children.
