QUESTIONNAIRE
RIGHT TO LIFE
Under what circumstances should an elective abortion be allowed?
None. LIfe begins at conception. I am a Christian, and as such I believe all life is precious.
Chemical abortion drugs should meet essential safety standards (such as in-person consultation with a medical doctor) and require reporting to gather evidence on reactions and outcomes.
Strongly Disagree
These drugs should not be available. The repercussions are too devastating.
Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).
Strongly Agree
I support 'aid in dying' laws which legalize assisted suicide and euthanasia.
Strongly Disagree
ECONOMY
Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.
Strongly Agree
I am a Free Market Capitalist. The market will always choose the best correct answer to any issue regardless of Government interference. The pursuit of private property is the root of all advancements in human history.
What is your position on the minimum wage?
When government interferes with the function of a minimum wage and artificially raises it higher than the market is willing to pay the lowest skilled worker, the effect is 100% inflationary.
Should environmental and social issues, like ESG (environmental, social, and governance) ratings, be used as criteria in deciding where to invest public monies?
No
The only criteria that should be used in deciding where to invest any money is the rate of return. Of course I make this statement with the assumption that all activities being considered for investment are legal.
RELIGIOUS LIBERTY
Under what circumstances can government close churches?
None.
Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.
Strongly Disagree
The market will decide if the businesses are making the correct choice. Again if government removes itself from the process, the pursuit of private property will dictate that businesses which serve the largest market will flourish, and the others will go away.
HEALTHCARE
What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D) Taxpayer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be defunded.
D. The best healthcare system only has two people involved: The patient and their doctor. Healthcare and Health Insurance are not synonyms. Insurance companies provide a payment (financial) service to the patient. They should not be in the healthcare decision making process. Health Insurance companies and doctors should not be able to communicate regarding the care of a patient.
Under what circumstances (if any) should a government, school, or employer be allowed to require vaccinations?
Absolutely none.
NATIONAL SECURITY
The Chinese Communist Party poses serious military, cyber security, intellectual property, and global economic threats to the United States.
Agree
The threat to the United States is of our own making. We have enriched the CCP with a desire to live above our means. It is our government's debt which has placed us in a precarious position as it relates to the CCP.
Is the United States' relationship with Israel important, and if so why?
Yes. But only to the extent it advances the life, liberty, and prosperity of Americans.
IMMIGRATION
The U.S. should do more to physically secure the southern border.
Strongly Agree
By the very nature of their actions, nearly every person crossing the southern (or northern) border without following the prescribed procedures, is a criminal. Every criminal crossing any border illegally should be deported immediately.
EDUCATION
The state should fund education by allowing dollars to follow the child through programs which protect parents' freedom to choose their child's school – public, private, or homeschool.
Strongly Agree
Parents are the first and last arbiters of their children's education. A symbiotic partnership between a caring qualified teacher and a loving parent will produce the best educated citizenry. Notice the two most well compensated variables which are absent from this equation: Administrators and Bureaucrats.
VALUES
Children are the most vulnerable members of society and must be protected from abuse, including gender ideology, grooming, and bodily mutilation.
Strongly Agree
However, they must not be protected from struggle, hard work, or failure.
Parents should have the right to make decisions for their minor children.
Strongly Agree
Taxpayer funds should be used to provide gender transition services.
Strongly Disagree
Marriage is a God-ordained, sacred and legal union of one man and one woman. No government has the authority to alter this definition.
Neutral
Governments have historically either tacitly or overtly provided benefits to people in a marriage for one simple reason: The family unit is the single most indispensable cornerstone of any well-functioning stable society. Traditionally, government's and religion's desire for such a society have overlapped. The only time they appear not to overlap is when a faction exists to sow the seeds of discord within a society. I support strong marriages and families.
Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.
I am a Catholic. But, that certainly does not mean I check my free will or opinions at The Vatican door.
ELECTIONS AND VOTING
People should be able to vote without photo identification.
Strongly Disagree
Voting is a right earned by being a contributing member of society. If you are unwilling to meet the most basic of requirements by acquiring photo identification, you are unwilling to participate in society.
States should join the National Popular Vote Interstate Compact which makes the Electoral College irrelevant.
Strongly Disagree
The only reason an individual would want to eliminate the Electoral College is because they want the President to be chosen by the cities of New York, Chicago, Los Angeles, and a couple of unnamed others.
EQUALITY
Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?
No. The perpetuation of the false narrative of systemic racism is the true threat to domestic security.
I agree with Critical Race Theory (CRT) which asserts that the institutions in the United States are fundamentally racist.
Strongly Disagree
The United States suffered and survived the ultimate baptism by blood during the Civil War to end legal slavery in the world. Additionally, the US is the first and only truly multi-racial and multi-cultural nation in the world. Racist things happen. However, our meritocracy and the free market pushes the best and brightest to the top, regardless of race, creed, color, sex, or religion.
Biological males should not be allowed to participate in women's sports or occupy biological women's spaces whether it be bathrooms, locker rooms, sorority houses, women's shelters, or prison.
Strongly Agree
The fact this issue is part of a political survey is testament to the success of the radicals in our society who are intent on sowing the seeds of anarchy for their own gain.
ENERGY & ENVIRONMENT
Which comes closest to your view? (Select all that apply) A) Stricter environmental laws and regulations cost too many jobs and hurt the economy. B) Stricter environmental laws and regulations are worth the cost. C) Stricter environmental laws undermine U.S. energy independence and deter development of reliable electricity sources. D) Climate change is real and requires urgent policy action.
A & C. The myth of renewable energy is advanced to enrich the few well connected oligarchs within our government and the worldwide elitist groups.
What do you believe is the most reliable energy source that will supply the growing demand for electricity?
Nuclear, Natural Gas, and Coal.
ABOUT YOU
Have you ever been penalized for sexual misconduct in either civil or criminal court? If so, please explain.
No.
Have you ever been convicted of a felony? If so, please explain.
No.
What do you think is the general purpose of government?
1. Protection from foreign governments. 2. Protection from ourselves (police powers and law & order). 3. Insure a level play field for the Free Market (implement and enforce laws which insure people cannot short circuit the system for ill-gotten wealth and power).
When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and religious liberty, which of the following best describes you overall?
Very Conservative
I describe myself as a Constitutional Conservative and Free Market Capitalist. The government which governs best is the government which governs least. I am a candidate because I want to roll back the size, scope, and power of the Indiana State Government. Indiana has too many legislators who over-spend, over-tax, and over-legislate. I want to move in the opposite direction.
CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY
I support redirecting funds from police departments to community programs.
Strongly Disagree
The community is responsible for community programs; not the government. Policing is a primary and vital function of government. Without police departments, society degrades into anarchy which prevents the enjoyment of life, liberty, and private property.
2ND AMENDMENT
What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?
Convicted felons of violent crimes should have to significant barriers to gun ownership. Otherwise, the 2nd Amendment is absolute. It was created to do two things: 1. Allow a free people to defend themselves, their families, and their property. 2. To act as the ultimate backstop in the protection of our freedoms and liberties from a tyrannical government and despotism.
Should teachers be allowed to carry guns at school?
Yes
Absolutely. The more teachers with guns the safer our schools will become.
