QUESTIONNAIRE

RIGHT TO LIFE

Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).

Strongly Agree

Human life begins at conception. Human rights - protected by the Constitution - attach to the human being from the moment of conception and must be protected.

I support 'aid in dying' laws which legalize assisted suicide and euthanasia.

Strongly Disagree

Human life is precious. Euthanasia is a permanent solution to a potentially temporary problem. Human suffering can be alleviated through pain management, even in hospice situations. God determines the span of our days.

Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?

"Elective abortion" is a permanent solution (involving the killing of an innocent human being) to the temporary problem of unplanned pregnancy, and should never be allowed. "Elective abortion" does NOT include termination of pregnancy in life-threatening situations such as ectopic pregnancy, septic uterus, etc. The CDC Abortion Surveillance program indicates less than 0.2% of all abortions are related to rape and incest. Severe punishment of rapists and pedophiles - such as castration and 20 year minimum prison sentences - would reduce the number even further.

ECONOMY

Redistribution of income is needed to lessen the gap between the wealthy and working classes.

Strongly Disagree

We will always have the poor among us. Neighbors and churches and civic organizations are the best means of helping with a hand-up. It is not the government's role to redistribute wealth; and when attempted, it only perpetuates poverty and human suffering. It fascinates me that the wealthiest and most corrupt politicians consistently advocate for wealth redistribution through taxation and other means. They, of course, are not willing to redistribute THEIR wealth.

The government should cut spending in order to reduce the national debt.

Strongly Agree

I believe we could cut federal spending by 40% tomorrow and we would all be better off. Force bureaucracies to function as profitable businesses, not leeches on the American taxpayers.

What changes, if any, should be made to the tax code?

Eliminate the personal income tax altogether. Tax commerce, not property or income. This would force governments at all levels to work toward creating and maintaining robust economies. Eliminate restrictions attached to free speech in the 501c(3) and 501c(4) tax codes.

RELIGIOUS LIBERTY

Religious liberty is at risk in the United States and deserves the highest level of protection in the law.

Strongly Agree

Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.

Strongly Disagree

Absolutely not. We are a free people; we must act like it.

What should be the relationship between the church and the state?

The churches must be the moral compass of the culture. Therefor, there must always be a clear separation between ecclesiastical power and government power. No pastor must ever be restricted in the performance of his proper duties before Almighty God by any government. No government should attempt to influence any church under any circumstances.

HEALTHCARE

Under what circumstances (if any) should a government, school, or employer be allowed to require vaccinations?

None.

What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D)Tax-payer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be de-funded.

Transition from C) to D) over time. Healthcare is not a responsibility of the Federal Government under the Constitution. Having assumed too much responsibility for health care, the Federal Government runs the most expensive, inefficient healthcare system on earth. Veterans with honorable discharges should be provided lifetime subsidies for health care services, as a part of our debt to them for their service.

NATIONAL SECURITY

With regard to America's foreign policy, which view most closely resembles yours: A) The United States should intervene whenever freedom is threatened. B) The United States should selectively help countries trying to grow democracy and fight tyranny. C) The United States has become too involved in others' policies and should remain focused on issues regarding our own sovereignty unless in imminent danger. D) The United States should stay out of foreign conflicts completely.

B and C. Had we properly engaged in Latin America over the past 20 years, we might not have a border crisis of illegal immigration and narcotics and human trafficking across our southern border. Had we not engaged in the Middle East over the past 20 years with no clear strategic outcomes established, our young men and women would not have bled and died and we would not have withdrawn from Afghanistan while handing billions of dollars of weapons to our avowed enemies. America must return to our rightful place in the world as the beacon of hope and freedom, and lend a hand to those nations trying to establish it for their people. But long experience has shown us that freedom which is not fought for by the people of any foreign country never lasts. We cannot "export" freedom and American values, but we can use our diplomatic, economic, and in very rare cases military strengths, to assist people around the world who are willing to embrace the necessary struggles to establish it for themselves. One more thing is certain: We cannot go to war against a concept: The War on "Terror" has proven a failure.

I support the Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement to pressure Israel to withdraw from occupied territories, remove the separation barrier in the West Bank, allow full equality for Arab-Palestinian citizens of Israel, and promote the rights of Palestinian refugees.

Strongly Disagree

Israel and Palestine are sovereign nations which must sort this out for themselves.

The Chinese Communist Party poses serious military, cyber security, intellectual property, and global economic threats to the United States.

Strongly Agree

China represents the most serious existential threat to freedom across the planet. Their leaders are shrewd, ruthless, and bent on global domination by any means required. And they understand the acme of conquest is to defeat your enemies without ever engaging in open battle. They are no longer "Marxists," rather, they have embraced a form of modern imperialism.

What should the United States do to help eradicate the threat of Islamic terrorism?

1) Using all economic and strategic means available, systematically dismantle the power structures behind Islamic jihad. Iran was our best ally in the region until 1979 when the Ayatollahs seized power. Their present regime chants "death to America" while grasping for nuclear weapons and intercontinental ballistic missiles. They must NEVER achieve these means, and we must cut all trade with that nation, and pressure others to do the same, until the people of Iran choose to take back their country. 2) We MUST get our message of freedom and human rights transmitted across the world. Poverty, brainwashing, and oppression are the jihadist's best recruiting tools. We MUST expose the lie of jihadist Islam whenever and wherever it exists. We have the means to do this, but we presently lack the political will to execute it. 3) We must treat every Islamist organization seeking to attack America as enemies in time of war, and strike them proactively.

IMMIGRATION

The U.S. should do more to physically secure the southern border.

Strongly Agree

Absolutely. A nation without borders is not a nation exercising its responsibilities of establishing national sovereignty.

State and federal funds shall be denied to any public or private entity, such as a sanctuary city, that is not in compliance with immigration laws.

Strongly Agree

Who should be allowed to immigrate to the U.S. and under what circumstances?

Only those whose entrance to America is in accordance with our established immigration laws.

VALUES

Sexual orientation and gender identity should be protected classes in non-discrimination laws.

Strongly Disagree

Behavior is not personhood.

I agree with Critical Race Theory (CRT) which asserts that the institutions in the United States are fundamentally racist.

Strongly Disagree

CRT is garbage propaganda designed for those too lazy to study history. And sadly, it's taking root. It must be countered with historic truth.

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

I am a human being created in the Image of God, and prone to sin as are we all. I have been redeemed by the sacrifice of God Himself taking on complete humanity in the person of Jesus Christ, who left His throne in Heaven to take on the role of a slave and a sacrifice for the sake of human kind. I am washed in the blood of Jesus, and owe all my allegiance and my very life to Him alone. He is the only hope for mankind in this life and the next. To follow Him is everything, to reject Him is tragic.

ELECTIONS AND VOTING

People should be able to vote without photo identification.

Strongly Disagree

Absolutely not.

What laws would you propose to change present voting practices?

Americans fought and died to give us this nation - our freedom must be held in high regard. Voting is a sacred right. 1) Under the Constitution, this is a state issue, however, I would like to see all states adopt universal voter photo ID. 2) I would like to see all states eliminate ballot drop boxes. 3) I would like to see all states eliminate machine processing of votes altogether, and adopt laws requiring automatic, independent audits of every election. 4) I would like to see all states adopt secure, barcoded, watermarked, paper ballots providing a duplicate copy to every voter upon casting their votes. 5) I would like to see all machines used to tabulate and transmit vote counts built with the strongest tech protections against hacking possible, including faraday cages and secure, scrambled, frequency-hopping transmission technology. 6) I would like to see the Department of Homeland Security set up a counter voter fraud task force, whose charter would be to attempt to uncover technical and procedural vulnerabilities in our federal election systems, at the very least. 7) I would like to see vote theft treated as a Class A felony, with mandatory 20 year minimum consecutive sentences attached to every fraudulent ballot and every count of ballot fraud.

EQUALITY

Reparations should be given to people on the basis of race.

Strongly Disagree

665,000 Americans died in four years of Civil War between 1861 and 1865 to - in part - end slavery. That is reparations enough.

Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?

Racism is a reprehensible set of ideas, forming a state of mind. "States of mind" are not threats to the security of a nation which embraces freedom of thought and freedom of speech. Acts of vandalism, violence, or terror - regardless of the motivation - are crimes. Punish the crimes, not the personal stupidity.

ENERGY & ENVIRONMENT

I support the use of hydraulic fracking to extract oil and natural gas resources.

Strongly Agree

It works. We must, however, continue to explore newer, better, more efficient technologies.

Which comes closest to your view? A) Stricter environmental laws and regulations cost too many jobs and hurt the economy. B) Stricter environmental laws and regulations are worth the cost.

A

ABOUT YOU

When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and religious liberty, which of the following best describes you overall?

Very Conservative

Please provide publicly available information, including interviews and media reports, validating your answer to the previous question (other than your website).

See my social media feeds.

Have you ever been convicted of a felony or been penalized in either civil or criminal court for sexual misconduct? If so, please explain.

No.

What else would you like voters to know about you, including your legislative priorities?

Freedom is precious, fragile, and demands constant effort to remain in effect. I'll fight at every turn to restrict the federal government to its Constitutional bounds, and serve the people of my Congressional District. As a U.S. Congressman from Tennessee, I answer only to the Lord God Almighty, the Constitutions of the United States and the State of Tennessee, and the people who elect me. Period.

CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY

Police officers should be personally immune from prosecution for conduct consistent with departmental policy (qualified immunity) while on duty.

Neutral

In the rare cases when department policy violates the law, the law overrules.

I support redirecting funds from police departments to mental health and community programs.

Strongly Disagree

We need better funding of the police, not less. Mental health begins in homes with healthy families, not in community government-run programs.

2ND AMENDMENT

What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?

None. Criminals will always obtain state-of-the-art weapons. Citizens have a God-given right to protect themselves. The best defense against a madman with a weapon is a sane man with a better weapon at the critical location in the critical moment.

Victims of gun violence should be able to sue firearms dealers and manufacturers.

Strongly Disagree

Absolutely not. The manufacture of an item is immaterial to its ultimate use.
