Under what circumstances can government close churches?
Wouldn't close the door on this one because there may become an exception but, as for now, I see no reason at all.

What should the United States do to help eradicate the threat of Islamic terrorism?
Continue partnering with our allies and take the fight to them in their country so we don't have to in ours.
I support the Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement to pressure Israel to withdraw from occupied territories, remove the separation barrier in the West Bank, allow full equality for Arab-Palestinian citizens of Israel, and promote the rights of Palestinian refugees.

Won't totally close the door on this one but, as for now, I see no reason why the should.

IMMIGRATION
The U.S. should do more to physically secure the southern border.
Strongly Agree
This should have been done forty years ago but since it wasn't....if we can start tomorrow I'm all for it.
Who should be allowed to immigrate to the U.S. and under what circumstances?
I think that's been spelled out for decades ..who and how.....let's just follow the law for a change. If it needs changing....there's a body known as Congress where it can start.

CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY
Police officers should be personally immune from prosecution for conduct consistent with departmental policy (qualified immunity) while on duty.
Strongly Agree
If a law enforcement officer is shown to have a personal issue with someone..that immunity ends. By FAR, our law enforcement community is out there to PROTECT us...not to hurt us. For them...it's a job, career, and a passion. They should not be penalized for it.

If that were the case then knife manufacturers should be liable for stabbing deaths. How silly.

ABOUT YOU
What do you think is the general purpose of government?
To do as little as possible...limited government....but provide for national defense and other necessary things.
When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and religious liberty, which of the following best describes you overall?
Conservative
I'm running for the Alabama Public Service Commission, Place 1. It's a regulatory position but I'm fighting so-called Conservatives who believe it's ok to impose high fees on people who just want to save money on their electric bill. I want to REMOVE those fees. A real Conservative would be for those seeking energy independence. My power bill last month was $28. I'm about as close to energy independent as you get.

What else would you like voters to know about you, including your legislative priorities?
Well....I have no legislative priorities. I'm running for a regulatory position in the Alabama Public Service Commission. I have plenty to say about this....which has nothing to do with abortion, government spending, or anything else. Alabama's Public Service Commission has a horrible record of helping it's residents. The campaigns of all three of it's current members are currently funded by the coal industry and supporters of them. They have literally done the bidding of what the coal industry wants, but that's what you get when special interest money comes into play. I want to change the direction of this commission, one that will begin to use solar energy. I want to see more solar energy used for the utility grid of Alabama Power. This will help keep rates low for it's customers. It's working in nearby states of Georgia, Tennessee, and Florida. I want to end the solar fees being imposed on two-third's of this state. They are excessive to the point that nobody who lives in the Alabama Power district would ever consider using solar power at their home. My power bill was $28 last month using solar power. Those people who live there will NEVER have a power bill like mine with those fees. Course, the coal industry whose bankrolling the campaigns of all three current Public Service Commissioners has told them to vote for those fees...and I get that. I just hope Alabama voters will reject the special interests and elect someone who cares about their interests. If we can remove those fees and inject more solar power into the utility grid beautiful things will happen. First...it will take solar farms to make that happen like they've done in Georgia. When that happens, the county will receive huge tax benefits which will be used for roads, bridges, and schools. Secondly, again like Georgia, clean energy jobs will come to this state. Just a few months ago, NanoPV out of Korea announced they were coming to Georgia and would be building a 36-million dollar facility and 500 new jobs to the town of Americus. I constantly question people here.....Why would a manufacturer of solar panels come to a state whose Public Service Commission approves of financial penalties to people in the state who USE solar panels?? It's time for a rejection of special interests in our public service commission and a return to fairness for the people of Alabama.

VALUES
Judeo-Christian values established a framework of morality which is necessary for our system of limited government.
Strongly Agree
It's how this nation was founded. It's worked since 1776....don't change something that's worked well.
I support adding gender identity as a specially protected class in non-discrimination laws.

ELECTIONS AND VOTING
People should be able to vote without photo identification.
Strongly Disagree
If I have to show an ID to buy a beer....then you should be required to show one to vote
What laws would you propose to change present voting practices?
I would make it against the law for election officials to change the rules passed by their state legislatures and signed into law by their governors. That's the problem we had in 2020 and we don't need that disaster to happen again.

ENERGY & ENVIRONMENT
Which comes closest to your view? A) Stricter environmental laws and regulations cost too many jobs and hurt the economy. B) Stricter environmental laws and regulations are worth the cost.
A. Depends on what you mean by "environment" If you're talking about throwing coal ash all in my yard that's one thing...but if you're talking about "carbon emissions" or "carbon footprint" like in the burning of natural gas?? Give me a break! Some stricter environmental laws do cost too many jobs and hurts the economy.
I support the use of hydraulic fracking to extract oil and natural gas resources.
Strongly Agree
