OTHER INFORMATION

QUESTIONNAIRE

RIGHT TO LIFE

Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?

Under no circumstances should abortion ever be allowed.

Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).

Strongly Agree

Planned Parenthood is a nonprofit that thrives on donations. The illogical grants from federal and state governments must be stopped forever.

I support 'aid in dying' laws which legalize assisted suicide and euthanasia.

Strongly Disagree

Assisted suicide is not legal in Texas, this is murder.

ECONOMY

What changes, if any, should be made to the tax code?

I am dedicated to eliminating residential property tax. As a former Texas Property & Casualty insurance adjuster, I know that our homes are our primary investment. Rising home values have financially burdened homeowners and Texas cannot wait any longer to make this happen. The time is now.

What government spending would you reduce in order to balance the budget?

Texas has been caught not soliciting bids for projects that millions to billions of dollars, perceived as an unfair business practice. Texans have no confirmation that this was not fraudulent. In order to prevent this, the protocol must be mandatory to solicit bids and publish those bids online.

Taxpayer-funded public education should be guaranteed through college.

Agree

Being able to provide Texans with college funding promotes education at all income levels and is good for Texas. The matter of cost for these programs should be thoroughly investigated.

RELIGIOUS LIBERTY

Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.

Strongly Disagree

Texas businesses should have the right to refuse service to anyone for any reason. Especially if doing business violates their moral or religious beliefs. Serving our Lord doesn't stop when you open the doors to your establishment.

Under what circumstances can government close churches?

Never, we need our religious leaders in dire times such as what we're experiencing now. To remove their council and comfort is irrational and violates our constitutional right to worship our God.

HEALTHCARE

What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D)Tax-payer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be de-funded.

A close examination of the rising private healthcare insurance premiums that occurred due to the formation of the Healthcare Marketplace shows that the government's involvement in providing these plans has wrecked the ability of some to afford a healthcare plan at all. Any attempts by the Texas legislature to give Texans expanded Medicaid has also failed. There's an urgent need to address this issue for Texans and ensure that coverage is there for the most vulnerable sector of our population: middle-class working and living on a budget. Alternatively, government-issued Medicaid and Medicare have declined to provide treatments and surgeries to people in an effort to reduce costs and because of this, some have lost their lives. The middle ground for these issues, in my opinion, has yet to be addressed to accommodate all Texans.

Under what circumstances (if any) should a government, school, or employer be allowed to require vaccinations?

Vaccines that are required by our schools since I was a small child should always be required. With the rush at our Southern Border unvaccinated asylum seekers are bringing infectious diseases such as smallpox and mumps that have already been wiped out by vaccinations. I am not anti-vax, I am anti-covid vaccine mandate. These vaccines can have caused severe injury in children and adults. The newer variants are showing to be unaffected by the available Covid-19 vaccine which tells us that vaccine safety and effectiveness aren't there. Vaccine choice for these SARS diseases is paramount.

NATIONAL SECURITY

What should the United States do to help eradicate the threat of Islamic terrorism?

I want believe the U.S. Military's counter-terrorism efforts have been successful and be confident that the CIA and our military will take action to protect Americans worldwide and on our soil. I'm aware of the mental malfunctions of our current president, Joe Biden, that have cost the lives of civilians and our military serving in Afghanistan. My own son, an Army vet, worked a private security job in that country. Until we get a president that can make rational decisions and heed the advice of our military leaders we cannot be sure this will be the last failure with a terrorist organization. We need Republican leadership immediately.

I support the Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement to pressure Israel to withdraw from occupied territories, remove the separation barrier in the West Bank, allow full equality for Arab-Palestinian citizens of Israel, and promote the rights of Palestinian refugees.

Strongly Disagree

Israel has defended itself from invading countries my entire life. I support Isreal and will never support BDS.

IMMIGRATION

The U.S. should do more to physically secure the southern border.

Strongly Agree

President Trump laid the groundwork and fought hard to protect us from being invaded by masses of foreigners. The cost of the border wall recently installed by Governer Abbott could affect the way the Texas legislature debates future funding for new and old programs. Also, the border wall is a multistate structure that should not only rise far above ground but extend far beneath the soil to prevent new tunnels from coming into the United States and trafficking out our children and young adults.

Who should be allowed to immigrate to the U.S. and under what circumstances?

The rules for our immigration most recently set forth by President Trump's administration to protect us in the wake of hundreds of thousands of immigrants should be maintained and upheld. The process of immigration must be strict to ensure that we do not allow criminals and terrorist organizations to infiltrate our country. Only those immigrants who apply through our U.S. Immigration department should be allowed entry.

VALUES

Judeo-Christian values established a framework of morality which is necessary for our system of limited government.

Strongly Agree

I support adding gender identity as a specially protected class in non-discrimination laws.

Strongly Disagree

Science says if you were born as a woman, you're a woman and if you were born as a man, you're a man. Legally, when a person has a sex change and seeks to have the gender applied on their government-issued identification, then they are that gender. The need for a protected class in non-discrimination is then irrelevant.

I agree with Critical Race Theory (CRT) which asserts that the institutions in the United States are fundamentally racist.

Strongly Disagree

Teaching children to hate based on race or CRT is fundamentally wrong.

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

I believe that Jesus is the son of God, our good shepherd, and is the glory of God through Christ. I was raised with strong and faithful Christian beliefs in a Southern Baptist family and in a private Christian school. Jesus is our Lord and I have the constant overwhelming need to have God's grace in my life. My relationship with him has given me Christian ethics that I apply to my daily stewardship, personal life, and my work.

ELECTIONS AND VOTING

People should be able to vote without photo identification.

Strongly Disagree

We must have photo identification to vote. This is one of the most effective ways to eliminate someone from voting more than once.

What laws would you propose to change present voting practices?

I believe that we should implement a fingerprinting system on all forms of ballots: mail-in ballots and also with digital or paper ballots. No two are identical unless someone is an identical twin. We already get fingerprinted when we get a driver's license or ID card so there's no reason that this form of identification should be set aside to protect elections.

EQUALITY

Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?

It has been in the past and since history repeats itself, it could be in the future. Racism ends when people stop teaching it to their children.

Reparations should be given to people on the basis of race.

Strongly Disagree

ENERGY & ENVIRONMENT

Which comes closest to your view? A) Stricter environmental laws and regulations cost too many jobs and hurt the economy. B) Stricter environmental laws and regulations are worth the cost.

Our state's environment is very important to me as it directly affects the health of our citizens and wild animals. EPA studies and standards have been and always will be used in evaluating areas for development and that includes energy sources.

I support the use of hydraulic fracking to extract oil and natural gas resources.

Strongly Disagree

Natural gas is a clean energy source but over fracking has damaged our lands and has been identified as containing over 50 carcinogens that have been leaked into natural water sources nationwide. We need laws that create an inspection after a specific period of fracking to evaluate the condition of the land and water in the area and ensure that it remains below unsafe levels.

ABOUT YOU

What do you think is the general purpose of government?

To protect citizens in a jurisdiction or nationwide by providing services such as fire, hospitals, police, infrastructure, and sanitation.

When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and religious liberty, which of the following best describes you overall?

Very Conservative

Please provide publicly available information, including interviews and media reports, validating your answer to the previous question (other than your website).

Did not answer

Have you ever been convicted of a felony or been penalized in either civil or criminal court for sexual misconduct? If so, please explain.

No.

What else would you like voters to know about you, including your legislative priorities?

Passing legislature that protects our elderly is very important to me. Identity theft and scams plague Texans but our elderly are repeatedly targeted and our federal government is slow to act when they've become crime victims. The state of Texas must rise to effectively prosecute and place protections to prevent future risk. I will always unapologetically fight to uphold The Texas Heartbeat Act and protect the life of the unborn. I have a long background in insurance fraud investigations, private investigations, searching for missing children and teens in my district, and also searching for fugitives from justice. My legislative priority is to create The Texas Privacy Act that will give Texans the right to remove their information from internet sites and databases that sells their personal and private data to the general public, including professional databases that debt collectors use while exposing oversight of the right to privacy by our state, county and city governments. I intend to tackle my district's rising crime rate by giving more power to narcotics divisions and hiring more officers, working to create legislation that will eliminate property tax while presenting alternative sources for funding to replace it, and initiating programs that will protect mentally handicapped adults and children. I will defend our second amendment right to bear arms, however, I am against allowing the right of convicted felons to possess a firearm of any kind which is currently allowed by law. Domestic violence in a home where a convicted felon is all too common and it's preventable. It's time to take action on this oversight.

CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY

Police officers should be personally immune from prosecution for conduct consistent with departmental policy (qualified immunity) while on duty.

Strongly Agree

I support redirecting funds from police departments to mental health and community programs.

Strongly Disagree

Texas law enforcement organizations, if anything, are not funded well enough.

2ND AMENDMENT

What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?

Eliminate convicted felons from owning and possessing firearms after the end of the fifth anniversary of the end of their sentence, regardless of whether it's parole, probation, or the end of incarceration.

Victims of gun violence should be able to sue firearms dealers and manufacturers.

Strongly Disagree

This specifically falls under lawsuit abuse. Only the operator of a gun should be sued if they violate the law.
