QUESTIONNAIRE

RIGHT TO LIFE

Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?

Abortion should be outlawed, every life is sacred and every child, and regardless of how a child is conceived they should be allowed to live!

Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).

Strongly Agree

Planned Parenthood pushes comprehensive sex ed and the sexualization of children starting in Kindergarten, they under report minors who have been raped, and they issue birth control to minors. They have no place in our schools!

I support 'aid in dying' laws which legalize assisted suicide and euthanasia.

Strongly Disagree

Life is sacred from conception to grave. Suicide and euthanasia harm human beings.

ECONOMY

What changes, if any, should be made to the tax code?

As a Licensed Realtor, I have seen Property Taxes becoming a huge burden to homeowners. Property Taxes in Texas should be abolished and replaced with a consumption tax and never a state income tax. All taxes and entities should be reviewed for waste, fraud and abuse.

What government spending would you reduce in order to balance the budget?

Auditing each department for fraud, waste and abuse. If further cuts are needed, I would look at each department and see what percentage could be cut in order to balance the budget. It's like the budget we have in our own homes, we can only spend what we have and we should be saving in areas as well.

Taxpayer-funded public education should be guaranteed through college.

Strongly Disagree

We as a State and Nation cannot afford to expand free tuition through college. Anything the government pays for is funded from each of us Texans paying in taxes. Families need to make the decision for their students to go to college based on job with projected growth, scholarships, grants and financial aid if they qualify.

RELIGIOUS LIBERTY

Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.

Strongly Disagree

Absolutely not, ever.

Under what circumstances can government close churches?

None.

HEALTHCARE

What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D)Tax-payer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be de-funded.

Taxpayer funded healthcare already occurs as people pay into Social Security, so I believe C should be the answer with a caveat to audit the programs in place for waste, fraud and abuse to make sure Texans are getting the appropriate care, benefits and coverage.

Under what circumstances (if any) should a government, school, or employer be allowed to require vaccinations?

None.

NATIONAL SECURITY

What should the United States do to help eradicate the threat of Islamic terrorism?

We should stop extremist and radicals from crossing our borders, and with intelligence to ascertain who the threats are, where their funding is coming from and freezing those assets, also, we should be protecting Americans at home and abroad from terroristic threats and supporting our military as well.

I support the Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement to pressure Israel to withdraw from occupied territories, remove the separation barrier in the West Bank, allow full equality for Arab-Palestinian citizens of Israel, and promote the rights of Palestinian refugees.

Strongly Disagree

The United States should be supporting Israel, their ally.

IMMIGRATION

The U.S. should do more to physically secure the southern border.

Strongly Agree

The wall should be completed to stem the tide of human trafficking, illegal drugs, and crime, and illegal aliens should be sent back to the ports of their home country.

Who should be allowed to immigrate to the U.S. and under what circumstances?

There should be a limited number of entries per year and they should be approved based on their criminal background, education and skill set they possess to be able to live and contribute in the USA, and an allotted amount of refugees as well.

VALUES

Judeo-Christian values established a framework of morality which is necessary for our system of limited government.

Strongly Agree

Strongly agree.

I support adding gender identity as a specially protected class in non-discrimination laws.

Strongly Disagree

I agree with Critical Race Theory (CRT) which asserts that the institutions in the United States are fundamentally racist.

Strongly Disagree

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

I am a born-again Believer in Jesus Christ, Yahweh and the Holy Spirit. I am a Christian Constitutional Conservative and small business owner that seeks to keep Texans free to worship as they want, with the right to protect themselves and their property, to protect parental rights as the sole authority over their children, to preserve our freedoms ordained by God and through our Federal and State Constitutions! I support our Law Enforcement Officers and our Military (I am a proud Military, Eagle and Aggie Mom)! I am for free-market solutions to our community problems! I am for limited government and I want to eliminate waste, fraud, and abuse. I am for transparency at all levels in government! I am for vaccine choice with no state or federal mandates on vaccines! I am for freedom and liberty with personal accountability!

ELECTIONS AND VOTING

People should be able to vote without photo identification.

Strongly Disagree

We have to show an ID to open a bank account, get a Driver's License, cash a check, etc. Voting is a civic duty and blood-bought right so we should absolutely protect our elections and voters and their right to cast their vote with ID verification.

What laws would you propose to change present voting practices?

That the integrity of our elections would be secured. One person = one vote.

EQUALITY

Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?

It has been a hot button issue in the media but I believe that is a skewed narrative. I believe most people are like Dr. Martin Luther King and look at the content of a person's character and not the color of their skin. Every human being has intrinsic value and worth.

Reparations should be given to people on the basis of race.

Strongly Disagree

I am strongly against slavery in all forms including the human trafficking that is going on today and we must fight that.

ENERGY & ENVIRONMENT

Which comes closest to your view? A) Stricter environmental laws and regulations cost too many jobs and hurt the economy. B) Stricter environmental laws and regulations are worth the cost.

A.

I support the use of hydraulic fracking to extract oil and natural gas resources.

Strongly Agree

The United States can be strong with energy independence.

ABOUT YOU

What do you think is the general purpose of government?

As documented in the USA Constitution, the people of the USA, through our Government, we seek to form a more perfect union by establishing justice, ensuring domestic tranquility, providing for the common defense, promoting the general welfare, and securing the blessings of liberty to ourselves and our posterity.

When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and religious liberty, which of the following best describes you overall?

Very Conservative

I will always support and defend life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness for Texans. I am a strong Christian Constitutional Conservative that supports fiscal and social conservative policies.

Have you ever been convicted of a felony or been penalized in either civil or criminal court for sexual misconduct? If so, please explain.

NO!

What else would you like voters to know about you, including your legislative priorities?

Christine Kalmbach has lived in northwest Houston since the late 1970s. She has attended Spring Branch and Cy-Fair Schools. She is married to Steve Kalmbach, a CPA, and had 3 adult children + one son-in-love (serving active duty in the military), and has two grandchildren she adores! She is a full-time Licensed Professional Realtor and attended Lone Star College. Her children have attended public, private and homeschool (she taught 2 of her 3 children). She is a strong fiscal and social conservative. She has been a grassroots volunteer and activist in the Northwest Houston/Cypress area since the 1990’s by supporting and voting for conservative causes and candidates. She has also block walked, phone banked, attended campaign events and donated to the Republican conservative movement in Texas! Christine has worked to ensure excellent elections in her Precinct being an Election Judge since 2011. Christine will be a champion and fight for Texans! Christine believes in being effective, excellent, and essential with integrity, vision, and transparency and that is why she is running for Texas House District 138! Legislative Priorities **Protecting Life, Liberty, Parental Rights, School Choice, Religious Freedom, and limiting Government control. No vaccine mandates. **Protecting our 2nd Amendment Rights and our Texas border and reducing crime while supporting LEOs and the Military. **Abolishing Property Taxes thus allowing Texans to truly own their homes, and eliminating waste, fraud and abuse in Government. I support Term Limits. And Flood Mitigation is also another critical issue for Harris County Texans. **Republican Chairs for Committee Chairs, Recording Votes in Committee, Balanced Budget, Audits, Sunset Committee.

CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY

Police officers should be personally immune from prosecution for conduct consistent with departmental policy (qualified immunity) while on duty.

Strongly Agree

I support redirecting funds from police departments to mental health and community programs.

Strongly Disagree

All three are important and we should not direct police funds to any other area. Let's look at those separately.

2ND AMENDMENT

What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?

None, every adult American Citizen is guaranteed the right to bear arms as outlined by our Constitution.

Victims of gun violence should be able to sue firearms dealers and manufacturers.

Strongly Disagree

Criminals are 100% responsible for the crimes they commit against victims and should be punished as such.
