QUESTIONNAIRE*
RIGHT TO LIFE
Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).
Strongly Agree
I support 'aid in dying' laws which legalize assisted suicide and euthanasia.
Strongly Disagree
Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?
Rape, Incest, and to save the life of the mother.
ECONOMY
Redistribution of income is needed to lessen the gap between the wealthy and working classes.
Strongly Disagree
Education (not indoctrination) and discipline are needed to narrow the gap between the wealthy and working class.
The government should cut spending in order to reduce the national debt.
Strongly Agree
Social spending needs to be drastically cut and foreign aid needs to be eliminated completely. Global welfare, for whatever reason, was not part of our founding principles.
What changes, if any, should be made to the tax code?
1.) Simplified so you don't have to be a CPA to do them. Income x(times) tax% = tax burden. PERIOD. 2.) Automatic withholding from paychecks needs to be eliminated. Citizens should have to write a check every pay period so they know how much they pay, OR... 3.) Tax day should be moved from April 15th to October 15th.
RELIGIOUS LIBERTY
Religious liberty is at risk in the United States and deserves the highest level of protection in the law.
Neutral
CHRISTIANITY is under attack, because it formed the foundation of our nation's founding. All other religions are celebrated and any critique is somehow "racist."
Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.
Strongly Disagree
Only monopolies of public services should have to provide services.
What should be the relationship between the church and the state?
Our nation was founded upon Judeo Christian values and those values should guide us when drafting/passing legislation and when holding to account, those who violate our laws. I do NOT propose/support a Theocracy.
HEALTHCARE
Under what circumstances (if any) should a government, school, or employer be allowed to require vaccinations?
I do not believe there is a "one-size-fits-all" policy. Parents have the right to determine what is best for their children and adults have the right to determine what is best for themselves. If there is solid, unquestionable science behind the disease and the vaccination, to include medical trials and proof of efficacy, then to some extent, PRIVATE employers should have some latitude, but not to interfere with a person's religious beliefs. Schools are an arm of the government and I do not support either making medical decisions for citizens.
What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D)Tax-payer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be de-funded.
D.) Those over a certain age, yet to be determined, should be allowed to remain on Medicaid and Medicare, supported by tax dollars. Both programs should be phased out as the population ages. Those under a certain age should have an established HSA type account, similar to a 401(k), that can be used for medical expenses. Since the money belongs to the individual, and not the collective, they may use it as they see fit. We need to get back to fiscal and personal accountability.
NATIONAL SECURITY
With regard to America's foreign policy, which view most closely resembles yours: A) The United States should intervene whenever freedom is threatened. B) The United States should selectively help countries trying to grow democracy and fight tyranny. C) The United States has become too involved in others' policies and should remain focused on issues regarding our own sovereignty unless in imminent danger. D) The United States should stay out of foreign conflicts completely.
C.) We should either honor or withdraw from treaties with foreign nations. We have strayed so far from the intent of our Founders. The Executive branch enters into "Agreements" with foreign powers, that are in effect, although temporary, treaties. The United Nations does not act in the best interests of the United States', and often in stark contrast to our founding principles and our rights. If our government wants to intervene in foreign conflicts, the Congress should vote on it, as originally intended. This power has been ceded too long to the Executive.
I support the Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement to pressure Israel to withdraw from occupied territories, remove the separation barrier in the West Bank, allow full equality for Arab-Palestinian citizens of Israel, and promote the rights of Palestinian refugees.
Strongly Disagree
Israel is a sovereign nation and has the right to choose policies that are in their own interest. We should not interfere with those decisions, one way or the other,
The Chinese Communist Party poses serious military, cyber security, intellectual property, and global economic threats to the United States.
Strongly Agree
Unfortunately, there are too many American institutions and private entities that cater to the CCP, including elected officials holding public office. Their interests are of their own interest and not those of the American people.
What should the United States do to help eradicate the threat of Islamic terrorism?
First, keep our nose out of their business. I think that will go a long way to subduing any threat. Second, if we are attacked, find those responsible and eradicate them then leave. We don't need to stick around and try to build a democracy or any other form of government, just leave.
IMMIGRATION
The U.S. should do more to physically secure the southern border.
Strongly Agree
State and federal funds shall be denied to any public or private entity, such as a sanctuary city, that is not in compliance with immigration laws.
Strongly Agree
Federal funds come from the entirety of the nation's population. Cities should not receive federal funds unless those funds are to support a national interest. If a city refuses to be in compliance with immigration laws, they should receive ZERO federal dollars. The states, on the other hand, receive tax dollars from their citizens and being that those state governments are elected by citizens of that state, they can choose how to use their tax dollars. Let the citizens decide their "leaders."
Who should be allowed to immigrate to the U.S. and under what circumstances?
Our immigration system needs to be overwhelmingly (~90-95%) merit based. Allowing people to enter our country then become a public charge has to stop. Asylum claims should be scrutinized and the individual thoroughly vetted.
VALUES
Sexual orientation and gender identity should be protected classes in non-discrimination laws.
Disagree
I don't believe sexual orientation or gender identity is a condition at birth. I believe they are choices made by the individual.
I agree with Critical Race Theory (CRT) which asserts that the institutions in the United States are fundamentally racist.
Strongly Disagree
CRT is a cancer in our culture. It was designed to eat away at our institutions and our founding principles and to keep our nation as divided as possible. My children are no better or worse than any other child, simply because they have different skin tone.
Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.
I am a born-again, baptized Christian. I believe that God sent his son, Jesus, to die for our sins and that through Him, we have salvation. I believe we are all children of God, regardless of race, color, or creed and that we should treat one another with the love God has for us.
ELECTIONS AND VOTING
People should be able to vote without photo identification.
Strongly Disagree
If you need a photo ID to exercise one right (2nd Amendment) there shouldn't be an issue needing a photo ID to exercise another (suffrage).
What laws would you propose to change present voting practices?
Voter rolls should be validated on a continuous basis. Photo ID should be required to vote, and those registered to vote should be tracked as having voted or not. Those numbers should then be compared/contrasted to the number of votes cast to ensure an accurate count of the vote. Absentee voting should only be allowed for: 1.) those serving in the military, stationed outside their home state or deployed. 2.) those unable to make it to the polling locations due to a proven medical condition. I also believe convicted felons should have their franchise reinstated after they complete their sentence; their debt to society.
EQUALITY
Reparations should be given to people on the basis of race.
Strongly Disagree
Not only is it nearly impossible to determine who should receive such a payment, but equally impossible to determine who should pay. It is just another ploy/tactic to divide our nation.
Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?
It is only a threat to domestic security as it is to the degree we allow race-hustlers to agitate the population, and allow Marxist organizations (BLM) to hide behind race.
ENERGY & ENVIRONMENT
I support the use of hydraulic fracking to extract oil and natural gas resources.
Strongly Agree
Which comes closest to your view? A) Stricter environmental laws and regulations cost too many jobs and hurt the economy. B) Stricter environmental laws and regulations are worth the cost.
A) I think current environmental regulations are enough, and probably a good deal excessive.
ABOUT YOU
When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and religious liberty, which of the following best describes you overall?
Very Conservative
I'm probably more Libertarian leaning. As long as an individual does not infringe on the individual rights of others, they should be able to do what is in their best interest in the pursuit of their happiness. I also believe decisions have consequences. If an individual chooses to be non-productive, they shouldn't be allowed to suckle at the teat of taxpayer dollars through public assistance.
Please provide publicly available information, including interviews and media reports, validating your answer to the previous question (other than your website).
Did not answer
Have you ever been convicted of a felony or been penalized in either civil or criminal court for sexual misconduct? If so, please explain.
No
What else would you like voters to know about you, including your legislative priorities?
I am an average person running for a not-so average position; I'm not a politician and I hold a full-time job outside of the political sphere. I love our nation and believe we have to return to our founding principles in order to save it. God needs to return to the classroom because a nation not firmly grounded in the belief there is something greater than mankind, is a nation doomed to fail. Legislative priorities would include "reimagining" or abolishing the Dept. of Education as education is a states' right. The border wall needs to be completed and immigration laws enforced to the fullest extent. Crimes against known Law Enforcement Officers and First Responders should be treated as a federal offense and if an assault results in death, it should be a capital offense.
CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY
Police officers should be personally immune from prosecution for conduct consistent with departmental policy (qualified immunity) while on duty.
Strongly Agree
If Law Enforcement is performing their duties, within the boundaries of departmental policies, they should not be held to account. Leaders of the Agency should be held to account. This is unless the policy(ies) are egregiously flawed (i.e. shooting someone for jaywalking).
I support redirecting funds from police departments to mental health and community programs.
Strongly Disagree
Police departments should be funded to the extent required to fulfill their duties.
2ND AMENDMENT
What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?
Firearms should be kept out of the hands of violent felons, the mentally ill, and those addicted to mind-altering drugs. Children need to be taught respect for the sanctity of life and be educated in the dangers of firearms.
Victims of gun violence should be able to sue firearms dealers and manufacturers.
Strongly Disagree
Unless the firearm malfunctions due to a manufacturing flaw, no. Negligent operation is a function of the user, not the manufacturer.
