OTHER INFORMATION
QUESTIONNAIRE
RIGHT TO LIFE
Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?
None
Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).
Strongly Agree
I support 'aid in dying' laws which legalize assisted suicide and euthanasia.
Strongly Disagree
ECONOMY
What changes, if any, should be made to the tax code?
I support a flat federal rate of 10% on all income except retirement income, which should be 0%. No to any Texas income taxes. Texas property taxes should be abolished on homestead properties. Anyone who has paid between 10-20 years of Texas property taxes should be able to opt out at age 65. Current property taxes should be cut to "0" over a 5 year period, replaced with a consumption tax.
What government spending would you reduce in order to balance the budget?
Any long-term welfare should be stopped. I would require work/training to continue any government assistance.
Taxpayer-funded public education should be guaranteed through college.
Disagree
K-12 is the only education that the taxpayer should be burdened with.
RELIGIOUS LIBERTY
Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.
Strongly Disagree
Under what circumstances can government close churches?
They cannot. Read the US Constitution.
HEALTHCARE
What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D)Tax-payer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be de-funded.
C. is the closest I get to for this answer. I favor regular Medicare availability for those currently eligible. Medicaid is a financial disaster. I would favor turning Medicaid into a catastrophic coverage plan in order to cover accidents, cancer, etc. Medicaid doesn't cover the basic cost of providing that service, so its a net loss to any medical practice. That is, they lose money when they provide care.
Under what circumstances (if any) should a government, school, or employer be allowed to require vaccinations?
Without the consent of the person being vaccinated, they shouldn't. There has been a long-standing precedent of schools requiring established and approved vaccines to attend school, which for the most part, I support. The military has also established a requirement for troops going to a variety of locations.
NATIONAL SECURITY
What should the United States do to help eradicate the threat of Islamic terrorism?
By quit importing unvetted "refugees" who then go on to cause harm or run for Congress. Having an unguarded southern border absolutely poses a clear and present danger to Texas and the entire United States. The President is primarily responsible to seal this gap. The State Governor also takes responsibility when he fails to take strong action in light of the failed President in performing his legal responsibilities.
I support the Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement to pressure Israel to withdraw from occupied territories, remove the separation barrier in the West Bank, allow full equality for Arab-Palestinian citizens of Israel, and promote the rights of Palestinian refugees.
Strongly Disagree
IMMIGRATION
The U.S. should do more to physically secure the southern border.
Strongly Agree
The current President has created a clear and present danger to Texas and the United States by actively "standing down" our defenses against invasion by unvetted invaders.
Who should be allowed to immigrate to the U.S. and under what circumstances?
Congress has enacted categories of people who qualify for immigration. They complain of a "broken" system. The exact problem is that the system fails if the laws they passed are never enforced. Try following the law and deport anyone that does not meet the established parameters of the law.
VALUES
Judeo-Christian values established a framework of morality which is necessary for our system of limited government.
Strongly Agree
I support adding gender identity as a specially protected class in non-discrimination laws.
Disagree
I agree with Critical Race Theory (CRT) which asserts that the institutions in the United States are fundamentally racist.
Strongly Disagree
Fighting racism with another form of racism is insane.
Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.
I maintain my Christian values and beliefs.
ELECTIONS AND VOTING
People should be able to vote without photo identification.
Strongly Disagree
What laws would you propose to change present voting practices?
Everyone will need an ID to vote. Mail-in ballots are for the aged and hospitalized. Ballot harvesting is a recipe for tremendous fraud. Same day registration/voting is another fraud magnet.
EQUALITY
Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?
It is only a threat when liberals keep making it one. I grew up in the 60's when we worked on equal-rights. I'm a firm believer that we need to maintain good relations amongst all Americans. It takes work to discuss differences, but constant race-baiting by media outlets is the security threat that endangers this Country.
Reparations should be given to people on the basis of race.
Strongly Disagree
ENERGY & ENVIRONMENT
Which comes closest to your view? A) Stricter environmental laws and regulations cost too many jobs and hurt the economy. B) Stricter environmental laws and regulations are worth the cost.
Neither. The answer is to be good stewards of what we have been given. This takes a little bit of common sense and not a one-size fits all approach by the federal government.
I support the use of hydraulic fracking to extract oil and natural gas resources.
Strongly Agree
ABOUT YOU
What do you think is the general purpose of government?
To protect citizens from internal and external hazards without encroaching on their personal liberties. To protect the sovereignty of the Nation and the States within. It is not to suppress the free will of any citizen who wishes to live freely without harming anyone else.
When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and religious liberty, which of the following best describes you overall?
Very Conservative
Please provide publicly available information, including interviews and media reports, validating your answer to the previous question (other than your website).
n/a
Have you ever been convicted of a felony or been penalized in either civil or criminal court for sexual misconduct? If so, please explain.
No.
What else would you like voters to know about you, including your legislative priorities?
1. Stop the invasion of Texas. 2. Eliminate homestead property taxes on Texans. 3. School choice by a voucher system paid by the State for K-12.
CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY
Police officers should be personally immune from prosecution for conduct consistent with departmental policy (qualified immunity) while on duty.
Strongly Agree
I support redirecting funds from police departments to mental health and community programs.
Strongly Disagree
2ND AMENDMENT
What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?
It is already illegal for felons and other to have firearms. Restricting law-abiding citizens only weakens their ability to defend themselves. Follow the Second Amendment.
Victims of gun violence should be able to sue firearms dealers and manufacturers.
Strongly Disagree
The variable factor is the human pulling the trigger. If this person was not legally allowed to have a firearm, sue the judicial/political system that allowed this to happen.
