RIGHT TO LIFE
Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?
I support current restrictions on abortion which state that no abortion is allowed after 20 weeks. I personally am strongly against abortion and would more inclined to limit it as an elected leader. Some studies show the fetus can feel pain at 12 weeks when the nervous system develops which is a hard pill to swallow.
Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).
Agree
Such a tax system would be impossible but I have always liked the idea that religious people could opt out to have their tax dollars go toward such a practice they are against. This of course is far to broad and isn't the best course but I put it here to show my thoughts on this issue. I would say the best way forward would be for these organizations to be audited to show they are not using public money for that part of their practice.
If Roe v. Wade is overturned by the US Supreme Court, how far are you willing to go to roll back North Carolina's statutory abortion law that allows abortion up to 20 weeks?
Did not answer
iVoterGuide Notes:
After panel evaluations occurred, candidate provided this answer: "I would support rolling the law back to around 15 weeks such as other states or as we see in Europe and other parts of the world."
I support 'aid in dying' laws which legalize assisted suicide and euthanasia.
Neutral
Would you support a limitation on chemical abortion that protects women from taking abortion pills without the care and supervision of a qualified physician?
Choose not to answer
iVoterGuide Notes:
After panel evaluations occurred, candidate provided this answer: "Yes I would support limitations."
ECONOMY
The government should do more to close the gap between the working class and the wealthy.
Strongly Agree
I disagree with people on the left who also want the same thing. I like to see myself as a true capitalist or even Jeffersonian in my vision. I want the people in my area to be able to open small businesses which meet local needs. I believe the American people need to lead themselves for a chance and feel as though they control their destiny. To decrease the wealth gap I would attempt to raise up my people with programs and outreach and better education. We should invest in ourselves.
What changes, if any, should be made to the tax code?
I do not want to raise taxes on the poor or middle income payers. I would seek to raise revenues other ways with smaller taxes
Taxpayer-funded public education should be guaranteed through college.

RELIGIOUS LIBERTY
Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.
Did not answer
iVoterGuide Notes:
After panel evaluations occurred, candidate provided this answer: "Strongly Disagree: People should not be asked to violate their religious beliefs. I support the ruling in Masterpiece Cakeshop v. Colorado Civil Rights Commission."
Under what circumstances can government close churches?
Did not answer
iVoterGuide Notes:
After panel evaluations occurred, candidate provided this answer: "Only in extreme circumstances such as when the church has proved to be causing harm to its members or committing some heinous crime."
What should be the relationship between the church and the state?
Did not answer
iVoterGuide Notes:
After panel evaluations occurred, candidate provided this answer: "Religious freedom is a right all people should have. I do believe however that a nation should embrace its religious heritage. I prefer a model where an official religion is put forward and revered but not required for holding office or to restrict any aspect of a person’s life. The modern interpretation of Jefferson’s ideals is one that's taken too far."
HEALTHCARE
What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D)Tax-payer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be de-funded.

Did not answer
iVoterGuide Notes:
After panel evaluations occurred, candidate provided this answer: "In the case of a long proven vaccine requiring it to use public services is acceptable to me. I have always disliked anti-vaccine attitudes which in states like California endanger children and have led to outbreaks of ancient illnesses. However, in the terms of something like covid vaccines I do not support any mandate whatsoever."

EQUALITY
Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?
Did not answer
iVoterGuide Notes:
After panel evaluations occurred, candidate provided this answer: "No, not so much racism but rather a poor method of handling race in the USA is being employed by our leaders. Our government needs to do more to take seriously the various needs of the races in the nation. This poor handling of race relations has led to violence and sharp political divides and is one of the greatest threats to America."

Did not answer

After panel evaluations occurred, candidate provided this answer: "I am at my core a man who cares about the well being of the people. I feel especially that the people of North Carolina are being conned. I want legislation that helps them directly. I also feel that the conservative movement must regain control over education as it is the thing that controls the future of our nation. As such education reform is a day one priority followed by laws to help raise native North Caolinians grow rather than bringing in out of state businesses which only attract left wing voters."
