QUESTIONNAIRE

RIGHT TO LIFE

Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).

Strongly Agree

As a conservative constitutionalist and a mother, I oppose taxpayer funding of abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood. Government should respect life and ensure public funds are directed toward healthcare that affirms life and supports families.

Under what circumstances should an elective abortion be allowed?

I believe abortion should be limited to the narrow and tragic circumstance in which a physician must act to save the life of the mother. Outside of that medical necessity, unborn life deserves legal protection, and our focus should be on supporting both mothers and their children.

Human life deserves legal protection from conception until natural death.

Strongly Agree

I believe the law should recognize and protect human life at every stage, beginning at conception and continuing until natural death.

The lives of human embryos created through artificial methods ought to be protected from purposeful destruction.

Strongly Agree

Human embryos created through artificial means are human lives and should be safeguarded from intentional destruction.

The Comstock Act, which bans interstate transportation of abortion-inducing drugs, should be enforced.

Strongly Agree

The Comstock Act is existing federal law, and the rule of law matters. Its provisions restricting the interstate distribution of abortion-inducing drugs should be enforced as written to protect life, uphold congressional authority, and prevent the circumvention of state laws through mail-order abortion drugs.

ECONOMY

What is your position on the minimum wage?

A government-set minimum wage may sound helpful, but it often produces the opposite effect. I believe wages should grow through economic strength, skills, and opportunity, not mandates that risk fewer jobs and higher costs.

Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.

Strongly Agree

A productive economy depends on the freedom to own property, invest, and build without excessive government control. Free enterprise rewards hard work, innovation, and personal responsibility, while private property rights provide the stability families and businesses need to grow, create jobs, and strengthen their communities.

List your top 3-5 priorities to eliminate government waste.

1) Audit and Sunset Ineffective Programs Regularly review programs and require measurable results, ending or reforming those that fail to serve taxpayers effectively. 2) Reduce Bureaucratic Overhead Streamline administrative layers so taxpayer dollars are spent on core services rather than unnecessary bureaucracy. 3) Strengthen Transparency and Accountability Make government spending clear and trackable, with real consequences for fraud, abuse, and mismanagement.

RELIGIOUS LIBERTY

What does "separation of church and state" mean to you?

The phrase “separation of church and state” means that government should not establish or control a state religion, not that faith must be excluded from public life. The First Amendment protects the free exercise of religion and prevents government from interfering with it. Individuals, including public officials, do not surrender their faith when they enter the public square, and religious beliefs should never be silenced or penalized by government.

Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.

Strongly Disagree

No individual or business should be compelled by government to act in violation of their sincerely held moral or religious beliefs. The Constitution protects freedom of conscience and the free exercise of religion, and those protections do not disappear when someone opens a business or participates in the marketplace. A free society respects pluralism by allowing people to live and work according to their convictions, without government coercion.

HEALTHCARE

What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D) Taxpayer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be defunded.

I support preserving Medicaid and Medicare as safety-net programs for those who truly need them, while opposing the expansion of additional taxpayer-funded healthcare systems. Government-run healthcare beyond these programs often leads to higher costs, reduced quality, and fewer choices. A strong healthcare system should protect the vulnerable while preserving private options, competition, and patient choice.

The government should keep a database of people with various ongoing medical illnesses to assess the economic burden of treatment.

Strongly Disagree

The government should not maintain databases tracking individuals’ medical conditions for economic analysis. Such practices raise serious privacy concerns and risk misuse, discrimination, and government overreach. Medical decisions and personal health information should remain confidential between patients and their healthcare providers, not collected or monitored by the government for cost calculations.

NATIONAL SECURITY

The Chinese Communist Party poses serious military, cyber security, intellectual property, and global economic threats to the United States.

Strongly Agree

The Chinese Communist Party represents a multifaceted threat to the United States through military expansion, cyber espionage, intellectual property theft, and economic coercion. Its actions undermine national security, threaten American innovation, and weaken global stability. The United States must respond with strength, vigilance, and policies that protect our sovereignty, security, and economic independence.

Is the United States' relationship with Israel important, and if so why?

Israel is a key democratic ally in a volatile region and a vital partner in national security, intelligence sharing, and counterterrorism. Our relationship is grounded in shared values, mutual defense interests, and a commitment to stability in the Middle East. Supporting Israel strengthens U.S. security, promotes regional deterrence, and reinforces America’s credibility with allies who stand with us.

IMMIGRATION

I support the existence of sanctuary cities to protect undocumented persons.

Strongly Disagree

Sanctuary city policies undermine the rule of law and hinder cooperation between local law enforcement and federal authorities. These policies can compromise public safety, strain local resources, and place communities at risk. Immigration laws should be enforced consistently and humanely, with a focus on public safety, accountability, and respect for the law.

EDUCATION

I support eliminating the U.S. Department of Education and giving control back to states and communities.

Strongly Agree

Education decisions are best made closest to students, parents, and teachers, not by a distant federal bureaucracy. Eliminating the U.S. Department of Education would return authority to states and local communities, reduce administrative waste, and allow education policy to better reflect local needs, values, and accountability. The federal government should support education through limited, clearly defined roles—not control it.

Foreign governments should be prohibited from funding American education.

Strongly Agree

American education should be accountable to students, parents, and taxpayers, not influenced by foreign governments. Allowing foreign funding creates risks of political influence, conflicts of interest, and national security concerns. Our schools and universities should reflect American values, priorities, and transparency, free from outside government control or pressure.

VALUES

Government should recognize and support the fundamental right and essential duty of parents to direct their child's health and educational well-being.

Strongly Agree

Parents, not the government, have the primary responsibility and authority to direct their child’s health, education, and overall well-being. Government should respect and support this fundamental role by empowering parents with transparency, choice, and accountability, not by substituting bureaucratic judgment for parental decision-making. Strong families are the foundation of strong communities and successful students.

Attempts to physically or socially transition a child to the opposite sex constitute child abuse.

Strongly Agree

Children should be protected from irreversible physical or social interventions. Adults and institutions have a duty to safeguard a child’s well-being, not impose life-altering decisions.

Marriage is a God-ordained, sacred and legal union of one man and one woman. No government has the authority to alter this definition.

Strongly Agree

Marriage is a sacred institution established by God and historically recognized as the union of one man and one woman. This definition predates government and is rooted in moral truth, family stability, and the well-being of children. Government does not create marriage and therefore does not have the authority to redefine it.

I support the expansion of gambling in my state.

Strongly Disagree

I do not support expanding gambling because it often brings increased social costs, including addiction, financial hardship for families, and strain on communities. Promises of easy revenue rarely outweigh the long-term consequences. Government should focus on policies that strengthen families, promote economic opportunity, and protect vulnerable individuals not expand industries that profit from harm.

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

I am a Christian who believes in the authority of God, the dignity of every human life, and the importance of personal responsibility, compassion, and service to others. My faith shapes my commitment to truth, integrity, strong families, and protecting the most vulnerable, while respecting the freedom of others to live according to their own beliefs.

ELECTIONS AND VOTING

People should be able to vote without photo identification.

Strongly Disagree

Voting is a fundamental right, and protecting its integrity is essential to maintaining public trust in elections. Requiring photo identification is a reasonable safeguard that helps prevent fraud, ensures one person–one vote, and strengthens confidence in election outcomes. Secure elections and accessible elections are not opposing goals, rather they go hand in hand.

EQUALITY

Reparations should be given to people on the basis of race.

Strongly Disagree

Government policy should treat individuals equally under the law and not assign benefits or penalties based on race. Reparations based on race would divide Americans, ignore individual circumstances, and conflict with the principle of equal protection. Efforts to address hardship should focus on opportunity, education, and economic mobility for all based on need and merit, not race.

Biological males should not be allowed to participate in women's sports or occupy biological women's spaces whether it be bathrooms, locker rooms, sorority houses, women's shelters, or prison.

Strongly Agree

Women and girls deserve fairness, privacy, and safety in sports and in sex-segregated spaces. Allowing biological males into women’s athletics or private spaces undermines competitive integrity and places women at physical and personal risk. Policies should respect biological reality while protecting the dignity, safety, and opportunities of women and girls especially in settings such as sports, locker rooms, shelters, and correctional facilities.

ENERGY & ENVIRONMENT

Man-made climate change is a global threat and requires urgent political action.

Strongly Disagree

Concerns about climate change are frequently exaggerated to support expansive spending programs that lack transparency or effectiveness. Public funds should be spent based on proven outcomes, not fear-driven policies that benefit a few while burdening families and businesses.

What do you believe is the most reliable energy source that will supply the growing demand for electricity?

Texas needs reliable base-load energy, especially natural gas and nuclear, to keep the ERCOT grid stable and meet growing demand without raising costs or risking outages.

ABOUT YOU

When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and religious liberty, which of the following best describes you overall?

Very Conservative

I identify as very conservative because my views are grounded in the Constitution, limited government, and the belief that strong families and local communities, not centralized bureaucracy, are the foundation of a free and prosperous society. I support free enterprise, personal responsibility, parental rights, the protection of life, religious liberty, and the rule of law. Government should be accountable, restrained, and focused on protecting individual freedom rather than imposing mandates.

Have you ever been penalized for sexual misconduct in either civil or criminal court? If so, please explain.

No.

Have you ever been convicted of a felony? If so, please explain.

No.

CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY

What should be the goal of the criminal justice system?

The primary goal of the criminal justice system should be to protect public safety by upholding the rule of law, holding offenders accountable, and ensuring justice is applied fairly and consistently. The system should deter crime, support victims, and maintain order, while also respecting constitutional rights. Rehabilitation can play a role where appropriate, but accountability and public safety must always come first.

Government has a responsibility to protect children from sexual exploitation during online activities.

Strongly Agree

Protecting children from sexual exploitation is a core responsibility of government. Online platforms should not be allowed to endanger minors through negligence or lack of accountability. Government has a duty to enforce laws, strengthen protections, and support law enforcement efforts that safeguard children while respecting constitutional rights and parental authority.

Sharia law should not be accepted or incorporated in any form within the legal framework of the United States.

Strongly Agree

American law must be based on the Constitution alone. No foreign or religious legal system should replace or override equal protection under U.S. law.

2ND AMENDMENT

What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?

None beyond existing laws that prohibit criminals and violent offenders from possessing firearms. Public safety is best protected by enforcing current laws, holding criminals accountable, and respecting the constitutional rights of law-abiding citizens.
