QUESTIONNAIRE
RIGHT TO LIFE
Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?
When the mothers life is in danger.
Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).
Strongly Agree
If Roe v. Wade is overturned by the US Supreme Court, how far are you willing to go to roll back North Carolina's statutory abortion law that allows abortion up to 20 weeks?
It has been overturned but it remains to be seen what will be tried to disrupt the ruling on the state level. I don't support abortion period.
I support 'aid in dying' laws which legalize assisted suicide and euthanasia.
Strongly Disagree
Would you support a limitation on chemical abortion that protects women from taking abortion pills without the care and supervision of a qualified physician?
No
ECONOMY
The government should do more to close the gap between the working class and the wealthy.
Disagree
What changes, if any, should be made to the tax code?
Taxes should be lowered across the board. There is a major overreach in regards to taxes to the individual, small business, corporate business, etc. I think there needs to be a systematic overhaul of the tax code and government should learn to live within its means.
Taxpayer-funded public education should be guaranteed through college.
Disagree
RELIGIOUS LIBERTY
Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.
Strongly Disagree
Under what circumstances can government close churches?
Under no circumstances should government have the right to close churches. We just saw a overreach in government in the closing of churches during the pandemic and a violation of our religious liberties.
What should be the relationship between the church and the state?
The church should be involved in the political process and speak to issues that affect social, moral, political and other matters for the betterment of our society. The state should stay out of the affairs of the church until at such time they violate the laws of the land like domestic violence, embezzlement, child abuse, etc.
HEALTHCARE
What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D)Tax-payer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be de-funded.
Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available along with private healthcare options. Medicaid and Medicare should remain available. There still needs to be a revamp of the healthcare approach in America. I would support such an effort.
Under what circumstances (if any) should a government, school, or employer be allowed to require vaccinations?
It should be a person right to refuse a vaccine and the government should not force it upon a person unless it is factually proven that an unvaccinated person is a health risk to the public. This cannot be politically driven or socially driven but scientifically proven by the majority of the professionals in the particular field being affected.
EDUCATION
States should allow parents to use the Opportunity Scholarship Program to fund private school for their children.
Strongly Agree
In what situations does a parent not have the right to know what their child is being taught in public school?
Under every situation should a parent have the right to know what their child is being taught. Under NO circumstance should that information be withheld from the parents. That information should be flowing freely from the Board of Education to the parents.
When should parents be restricted from speaking in school board meetings?
Should never be restricted but given opportunity to speak at the meetings and the time allotted should be on the agenda at monthly meetings. Schools should invite and want parent participation so it will bring about a better, more wholesome education.
VALUES
Judeo-Christian values established a framework of morality which is necessary for our system of limited government.
Strongly Agree
I support adding gender identity as a specially protected class in non-discrimination laws.
Strongly Disagree
I agree with Critical Race Theory (CRT) which asserts that the institutions in the United States are fundamentally racist.
Strongly Disagree
Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.
Of the Protestant faith with the denominational choice of Pentecostal Holiness. I believe Jesus Christ is the Son of God who came to bring all mankind salvation and the only way to God and being saved is through Jesus Christ. I believe the word of God is Holy, Inspired and inerrant. I believe in the premillennial second coming of Jesus back to earth to take His bride away. I believe we should treat all people regardless of the cultural background, color of their skin or level of education and social standing fairly, equally and honestly. We should work together for a better community, better opportunity for our fellow man that all people could live healthy, productive and prosperous lives. The golden rule, "Do unto others as you would have them to do unto you."
ELECTIONS AND VOTING
People should be able to vote without photo identification.
Strongly Disagree
What laws would you propose to change present voting practices?
Mandatory photo identification before getting a ballot. Lessen early voting to 5 or less days. Require Board of Elections to keep more accurate records by removing those that have moved, died or are incapacitated. There are things that could be done to make this a reality without it overburdening the BOE. There are certainly other things that need to be done so we all will have greater trust in our current system of voting.
EQUALITY
Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?
Yes! As it currently is being used by the left to separate all races it has become a threat to our domestic security and it's used to keep honest discussion from taking place in the public square which makes for a stronger and more educated citizenry giving understanding to all people no matter what your background or where you might be from. We are far more alike than we are different so we need to start with our likeness and develop out from there becoming a society that works together and has a greater understanding of each other. It's time for us to remove the threat that has been manufactured by the left to fit there agenda and do what's right by working together, appreciating our differences and celebrating our progress of working together.
ENERGY & ENVIRONMENT
Which comes closest to your view? A) Stricter environmental laws and regulations cost too many jobs and hurt the economy. B) Stricter environmental laws and regulations are worth the cost.
A comes closest to my view. I understand we need to protect the environment but we need to be common sense about it and when it starts destroying jobs and the economy we need to stop and ask ourselves what are we doing to society as we know it. There's been to much of that and it has and is having a lasting negative effort on us all
ABOUT YOU
What do you think is the general purpose of government?
Provide national security for the country, civil law and order, road systems, uniform currency, a uniting our states and people into One Nation Under God, etc. This is the simple answer to a much broader answer even though the word "general" purpose was used.
When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and religious liberty, which of the following best describes you overall?
Conservative
Please provide publicly available information, including interviews and media reports, validating your answer to the previous question (other than your website).
WIZS radio 1450 has recordings of interviews that may support what I've just said even though I don't fully remember the content of those interviews verbatim. You could research sermons I've preached, statements I've made and my associations both with individuals and organizations to support what I've just stated.
Have you ever been convicted of a felony or been penalized in either civil or criminal court for sexual misconduct? If so, please explain.
NO!
What else would you like voters to know about you, including your legislative priorities?
My record speaks for itself in Vance, Granville and Warren Counties. I've been a public servant working to be a voice for community development getting the public to work together for the good of every citizen in our area. I'm fair, honest, transparent, principled, conservative, Christian, willing to listen and weigh things out fairly along the lines of my values. I never stray from the compass that helps me keep my bearings and that's my faith and values. I'm committed to work to reduce crime in district 32 using whatever means will be necessary including legislations, uniting our people as well as community leaders until we reduce crime in district 32 and make it a safe, productive and happy place to live. Education is a priority in helping us get back to the basics of education, removing the nonsense that has nothing to do with educating our children and helping them become prepared to cop with the challenges of our world. Economic Development is a must in order for everyone to live productive, contented lives and enjoy the place they live and work, Encouraging all people to pursue a career, invest in your community, get engaged in your county to make it a better place to work, live and raise a family. Along with Economic development I want us to proceed in Community Development to create in district 32 a model of what neighborhoods should look like, that you can create a crime free place to live by rooting out the criminal and working together. So I'm optimistic about the future even though we have a lot of obstacles I believe we have enough people that believe the future is bright and that have reason to believe in a brighter day. That's their children, their family and friends along with other people they're yet to meet that will join us on this journey to improve our quality of life.
CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY
Police officers should be personally immune from prosecution for conduct consistent with departmental policy (qualified immunity) while on duty.
Strongly Agree
I support redirecting funds from police departments to mental health and community programs.
Strongly Disagree
2ND AMENDMENT
What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?
To enforce the laws on the books we currently have and deal with the mental health crisis we have in our nation. Until we enforce the current laws there is no need to create new laws.
Victims of gun violence should be able to sue firearms dealers and manufacturers.
Strongly Disagree
