RIGHT TO LIFE

Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?

I believe that life begins at conception and deserves legal protection; however, I do believe that abortion should be allowed if a mother's life is at risk.

Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).

Strongly Agree

If Roe v. Wade is overturned by the US Supreme Court, how far are you willing to go to roll back North Carolina's statutory abortion law that allows abortion up to 20 weeks?

I am 100% pro-life and am willing to fight for the "Right to Life" for every child and in every case. I am looking forward to the opportunity to vote against abortion once Roe v Wade is overturned by our Supreme Court.

I support 'aid in dying' laws which legalize assisted suicide and euthanasia.

Strongly Disagree

Would you support a limitation on chemical abortion that protects women from taking abortion pills without the care and supervision of a qualified physician?

Yes

ECONOMY

The government should do more to close the gap between the working class and the wealthy.

Strongly Disagree

What changes, if any, should be made to the tax code?

I support legislation to keep corporate and personal income taxes low. I am against inheritance and estate taxes. I will work hard for the people of NC to keep business taxes and property taxes low.

Taxpayer-funded public education should be guaranteed through college.

Strongly Disagree

RELIGIOUS LIBERTY

Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.

Strongly Disagree

I absolutely do not support individuals, businesses, or organizations having to perform services or business transactions that would go against their moral or religious convictions. Private businesses should be able to write and enforce their own policies according to their right of conscience.

Under what circumstances can government close churches?

There are no circumstances under which the government can close a church. I believe that the free exercise to worship Almighty God is every American's first and foremost inalienable right of conscience. The right to worship and conduct church services must be and IS protected from all government intrusion.

What should be the relationship between the church and the state?

The concept of a “separation of church and state” reinforces the legal right of a free people to freely live their faith, even in public; without fear of government coercion. Our Constitution enshrines freedom of religion - of all faiths. It does not require freedom from religion. I believe that elected officials or citizens have the right and duty to bring their faith, conviction, and conscience into the county, state, and federal government.

HEALTHCARE

What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D)Tax-payer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be de-funded.

I agree with option C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary.

Under what circumstances (if any) should a government, school, or employer be allowed to require vaccinations?

Vaccinations are a personal choice that should be decided between a medical doctor and the individual. I do not believe that any government should be allowed to mandate or require vaccinations.

EDUCATION

States should allow parents to use the Opportunity Scholarship Program to fund private school for their children.

Strongly Agree

In what situations does a parent not have the right to know what their child is being taught in public school?

There is no circumstance or situation where a parent should not be notified nor informed regarding their child's education or school curriculum.

When should parents be restricted from speaking in school board meetings?

A parent should never be restricted from their right to speak for the betterment or wellbeing of their child.

VALUES

Judeo-Christian values established a framework of morality which is necessary for our system of limited government.

Strongly Agree

I support adding gender identity as a specially protected class in non-discrimination laws.

Strongly Disagree

I agree with Critical Race Theory (CRT) which asserts that the institutions in the United States are fundamentally racist.

Strongly Disagree

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

I am a member and an associate minister at Spirit of Life Ministries. I believe in fighting for un-born life, Religious freedoms, and the nuclear family.

ELECTIONS AND VOTING

People should be able to vote without photo identification.

Strongly Disagree

Photo ID should be required

What laws would you propose to change present voting practices?

Photo ID should be required at the poll, I would limit mail-in ballots to Military and disabled citizens and Missionaries out of the country.

EQUALITY

Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?

I condemn racism in its entirety. While I do think that the far-left is using it to divide the American people, I firmly believe that a person should be judged by the content of their character and not the color of their skin.

ENERGY & ENVIRONMENT

Which comes closest to your view? A) Stricter environmental laws and regulations cost too many jobs and hurt the economy. B) Stricter environmental laws and regulations are worth the cost.

I align with view A.

ABOUT YOU

What do you think is the general purpose of government?

I believe the Founding Fathers said it best "We the people of the United States, in order to form a more perfect union, establish justice, insure domestic tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general welfare, and secure the blessings of liberty to ourselves and our posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America.

When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and religious liberty, which of the following best describes you overall?

Very Conservative

I am a proud Conservative whose world-view, character, and values have been shaped by my Christian upbringing. I believe that the government does not grant rights, but instead protects the right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness that come from God. I do not apologize for holding fast to my Biblical values.

CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY

Police officers should be personally immune from prosecution for conduct consistent with departmental policy (qualified immunity) while on duty.

Strongly Agree

I support our law enforcement and respect their service and sacrifices.

I support redirecting funds from police departments to mental health and community programs.

Strongly Disagree

2ND AMENDMENT

What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?

I do not believe in the government placing restrictions on gun ownership.

Victims of gun violence should be able to sue firearms dealers and manufacturers.

Strongly Disagree

OTHER IMPORTANT ISSUES

Would you support legislation that prohibits biological boys from competing on girls sports teams?

Yes

As a father, I would strongly support prohibiting boys from competing with girls. I think it's unfair to have male athletes competing against female athletes. It promotes an unfair playing field.
