RIGHT TO LIFE
Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?
"I am 100% pro-life with 3 exceptions: rape, incest and life of the mother" - President Donald Trump. I support the same positions as President Donald Trump, because they are good polices which, according to most studies, could reduce abortions by 95%. I do not support the culture of death being pushed by pro-abortionist, but I believe that, in order to get good legislation passed, we sometimes have to put aside the strong emotional connection associated with our personal beliefs.
Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).
Strongly Agree
If Roe v. Wade is overturned by the US Supreme Court, how far are you willing to go to roll back North Carolina's statutory abortion law that allows abortion up to 20 weeks?
I think its absolutely reasonable to put forward a bill which protects life once a heartbeat is detectable.
I support 'aid in dying' laws which legalize assisted suicide and euthanasia.
Disagree
Would you support a limitation on chemical abortion that protects women from taking abortion pills without the care and supervision of a qualified physician?
Yes
RELIGIOUS LIBERTY
Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.
Strongly Disagree
If someone doesn't want to bake me a cake because I'm a Christian, I'll find another baker. Freedom doesn't end where it begins to offend.
Under what circumstances can government close churches?
The government has no right to prevent citizens from attending church services, period.
What should be the relationship between the church and the state?
Historical context is important; The Anglican (Episcopal) church was the state sanctioned church of England, membership was mandatory. The First Amendment was intended to prevent this from happening in the newly established United States of America. I think religious leaders should absolutely advocate for their views, it's their right to do so. If atheist can bring their views into government, so can people of faith.
HEALTHCARE
What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D)Tax-payer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be de-funded.
C. Healthcare is the most heavily regulated sector of our economy and desperately needs reform and to be opened up for competition. I support legislation such as scope of practice reform, location of practice reform, etc... I believe, as I do with everything, that government interference should be as minimal as possible.
Under what circumstances (if any) should a government, school, or employer be allowed to require vaccinations?
I generally disapprove of the government forcing medical decisions on citizens of a free country, especially children.
ECONOMY
The government should do more to close the gap between the working class and the wealthy.
Choose not to answer
I feel like this is a loaded question. Obviously I'm in favor of lower income American's earning more money, but how we go about that is what matters. Improving our broken education system is the quickest path to meaningful, sustainable increases in standard of living. I do not, however, support punishing people for being successful.
What changes, if any, should be made to the tax code?
I envision our state eliminating the state income tax and I will work in any way that I reasonably can toward that goal. I also support zero based budgeting for all government departments. Government agencies should have to prove every year what they need from the taxpayer without simply being able to ask for more based on a prior year budget. Every department should start at zero, prove what they need, and be allocated funds based upon what is essential to them completing their mission.
Taxpayer-funded public education should be guaranteed through college.
Strongly Disagree
We need meaningful reform in Higher Education, but giving universities a blank check signed by the taxpayer is not the solution.
EDUCATION
States should allow parents to use the Opportunity Scholarship Program to fund private school for their children.
Agree
In what situations does a parent not have the right to know what their child is being taught in public school?
Parents always, always, always have the right to know what their children are being taught in public schools.
When should parents be restricted from speaking in school board meetings?
Never.
CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY
Police officers should be personally immune from prosecution for conduct consistent with departmental policy (qualified immunity) while on duty.
Strongly Agree
I support redirecting funds from police departments to mental health and community programs.
Strongly Disagree
Mental health and community programs are absolutely necessary, but, the answer isn't robbing law enforcement. If anything, they need more resources, not fewer.
2ND AMENDMENT
What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?
We have too many restrictions on gun ownership as it is. The number of hoops I had to jump through, as a young, single female to obtain my concealed carry permit was excessive and discouraging. A law abiding citizen should never feel discouraged from protecting their own life, period!
Victims of gun violence should be able to sue firearms dealers and manufacturers.
Strongly Disagree
OTHER IMPORTANT ISSUES
Would you support legislation that prohibits biological boys from competing on girls sports teams?
Yes
ABOUT YOU
What do you think is the general purpose of government?
To provide for the common defense and domestic tranquility of the people. I tend to be inspired more by Bastiat and Hayek, than Rousseau.
When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and religious liberty, which of the following best describes you overall?
Conservative
Please provide publicly available information, including interviews and media reports, validating your answer to the previous question (other than your website).

Have you ever been convicted of a felony or been penalized in either civil or criminal court for sexual misconduct? If so, please explain.
No
What else would you like voters to know about you, including your legislative priorities?
I have served as the State Chair of the North Carolina Federation of Young Republicans for the last 3+ years - currently in my second term. On the eve of my election there were 8 clubs across the state, today, there are 30. In the 2020 election cycle, I organized over 1.4 million voter contacts for our Republican candidates. In 2021, we deployed to Virginia on multiple occasions to assist them in retaking the governors mansion. While higher education is the issue that drove me into politics, I've become very passionate about veteran issues after seeing the many challenges Ben, my fiance, and his friends have to deal with. I think there's a lot we can do at the state level to honor our veterans, and you can see what that looks like by visiting my website. As someone whose family fled communism, I take great offense to the idea that "socialism just hasn't been done right." I will oppose legislation which seeks to increase the reach of government, and support legislation which removes limits on liberty.
VALUES
Judeo-Christian values established a framework of morality which is necessary for our system of limited government.
Agree
I support adding gender identity as a specially protected class in non-discrimination laws.
Disagree
I agree with Critical Race Theory (CRT) which asserts that the institutions in the United States are fundamentally racist.
Strongly Disagree
Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.
I am an Orthodox Christian. My father is a priest and raised me to love Christ and His Church. My views can be summed up in the Niceno-Constantinopolitan Creed: I believe in one God, the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth, and of all things visible and invisible; And in one Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of God, the Only-begotten, Begotten of the Father before all ages, Light of Light, True God of True God, Begotten, not made; of one essence with the Father; by whom all things were made: Who for us men and for our salvation came down from heaven, and was incarnate of the Holy Spirit and the Virgin Mary, and was made man; And was crucified also for us under Pontius Pilate, and suffered and was buried; And the third day He rose again, according to the Scriptures; And ascended into heaven, and sits at the right hand of the Father; And He shall come again with glory to judge the living and the dead, Whose kingdom shall have no end. And I believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, and Giver of Life, Who proceeds from the Father, Who with the Father and the Son together is worshiped and glorified, Who spoke by the Prophets; And I believe in one, holy, catholic, and apostolic Church. I acknowledge one Baptism for the remission of sins. I look for the Resurrection of the dead, And the Life of the age to come. Amen.
ELECTIONS AND VOTING
People should be able to vote without photo identification.
Strongly Disagree
I support mandatory voter ID. If I need an ID to buy cough medicine or board a plane for a domestic flight, I should need one to vote.
What laws would you propose to change present voting practices?
In addition to mandatory voter ID, I support repealing the "voting season" we've seen appear over the last few years. Early voting should be available for 1 week beginning 10 days out from election day, absentee ballots and votes cast early should be added to the tally of the voters precinct. I think we need stricter regulations on the judicial branch's ability to alter election laws and practices during election years, especially in cases which benefit them directly. The confusion around the 2020 election was avoidable and should never happen again. The people of North Carolina should never doubt that their vote matters.
EQUALITY
Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?
No. We have repeatedly seen demand for racism outstrip supply, because it's politically expedient for the Left to blame their failures in providing opportunities to their constituents, on racism. Our country has plenty of problems we need to work out, we don't need to manufacture any more.
ENERGY & ENVIRONMENT
Which comes closest to your view? A) Stricter environmental laws and regulations cost too many jobs and hurt the economy. B) Stricter environmental laws and regulations are worth the cost.
A. The environment is important, but throwing money at half baked solutions isn't an answer. If we want to talk about clean, renewable energy, we should be talking about nuclear power. Nuclear power is the cleanest, cheapest, most efficient form of energy on the planet. We need to stop looking at nuclear energy as if this were the 1960s; new technology is able to burn Thorium, which is cheaper and more plentiful than Uranium, they can burn nuclear waste byproducts. It's estimated that we have enough nuclear waste in the country right now to power the entire US power grid for 100 years without mining a single gram of uranium.... Think about that for a second. New "pocket reactors" are the size of 3-4 telephone poles, and can power your typical neighborhood, or be paired up with other pocket reactors to power entire towns. Unfortunately, burdensome and outdated regulations, coupled with an intentionally misinformed public has forced us to rule out one of the greatest gift of modern science to solving our energy needs. I would like to pursue policies which encourage investment in modern nuclear technology, reducing our dependence on fossil fuels, lowering the energy costs burdening our families, and reducing our impact on the planet.
