QUESTIONNAIRE

RIGHT TO LIFE

Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?

I do not believe abortion should be allowed. We should instead fight to make our adoption and foster systems more affordable and accessible to families that wish to go this route. There are many families who are unable to have children that would love to adopt but are unable to because of the excessive fees that are associated with the process. Cutting some of these fees would allow more parents to give their children up for adoption when they feel unable to care for it themselves rather than opting to get an abortion.

Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).

Strongly Agree

I support 'aid in dying' laws which legalize assisted suicide and euthanasia.

Disagree

This is a much more complicated question than answering "yes" or "no" because there are a million factors including death beds, steps to verify it is the persons choice, waiting periods, and many other factors that go into the morality of the matter.

ECONOMY

What changes, if any, should be made to the tax code?

The federal income tax code should be a flat percent across the board rather than punishing people for making more money like a progressive tax rate does. On a state level we need to create a plan that would lower property taxes until elimination. Texans deserve the right to own their own land rather than rent it from the government through unconstitutional taxes. The only way to make this possible is to cut unnecessary government spending and reallocate funds in order to keep our education system and law enforcement sufficiently funded.

What government spending would you reduce in order to balance the budget?

Did not answer

Taxpayer-funded public education should be guaranteed through college.

Strongly Disagree

I do not believe it is the government's responsibility to pay for the population's college. The government's involvement in education, giving guaranteed loans, is what has driven the cost up in the first place. Less government involvement will lower costs while maintaining the integrity a degree has. Giving everyone free college will dilute the worth of a degree and force people to pay for further education in order to qualify for a position.

RELIGIOUS LIBERTY

Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.

Strongly Disagree

It is the right of a business to practice their religious and moral beliefs and they should be able to refuse service if it would violate that right. They should be supported from the government in this and not be allowed to be sued over beliefs.

Under what circumstances can government close churches?

The government should not be able to shut down churches. This is a direct violation of the separation of church and state. The separation is not only about keeping the church out of the state but keeping the state out of the church as well.

HEALTHCARE

What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D)Tax-payer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be de-funded.

C. I believe that we need to move towards a more private healthcare system. Private healthcare systems create more competition and lower costs. This is the reason why over the last couple of decades cosmetic surgeries have continued to drop, because insurance often does not cover them and they create a healthy competition, forcing prices to lower.

Under what circumstances (if any) should a government, school, or employer be allowed to require vaccinations?

The government should have absolutely no right to tell the people what vaccinations they are required to put into their bodies. This is unconstitutional and goes against everything that this country was founded on. Forcing vaccinations is an overreach by the government and should be taken as an act of tyranny.

NATIONAL SECURITY

What should the United States do to help eradicate the threat of Islamic terrorism?

The United States should meet every attack by Islamic extremists with one hundred times the force. The only way to defeat terrorist organizations is to absolutely destroy them. We can not allow attacks, like what happened in Afghanistan, to continue without making them pay. The only way to prevent people from attacking our nation is to show them that we will not sit on the sidelines and allow them to show disrespect to our nation or the brave men and women protecting it.

I support the Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement to pressure Israel to withdraw from occupied territories, remove the separation barrier in the West Bank, allow full equality for Arab-Palestinian citizens of Israel, and promote the rights of Palestinian refugees.

Strongly Disagree

I believe the anti-Semitic views held by many elected officials is dangerous. We must support Israel and their right to sovereignty by standing with them in their attempts to protect themselves from outside attacks.

The U.S. should do more to physically secure the southern border.
