Under what circumstances can government close churches?
The government never has the right to close a church, the officials in charge of letting that happen will have to answer to God for their actions. I am ashamed of our elected officials in this country for ever allowing it to happen. This should NEVER happen again. We must stand up for our religious freedom.

NATIONAL SECURITY
What should the United States do to help eradicate the threat of Islamic terrorism?
The government should secure the border and increase security at ALL points of entry, especially airports where most terrorists enter the country. I do not believe in spending money overseas, we have bankrupted America in foreign wars. Enough is enough. Its time to defend our country from home. Bring the troops home and save our money.

Tax-payer funded health care should be abolished in almost all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be abolished because both programs are bankrupt. The entire health care system should be overhauled from head to toe and our government should get out of the way because they have proven they cannot be good stewards of our taxpayer money over and over again. Only if there can be real accountability and freedom of choice should our government decide to get into the health care business. Currently I cannot see a good path for government funded healthcare. The one exception I make to this rule is veterans. Our veterans deserve the top care for sacrificing their lives for this great nation. Fiscally responsibility must be restored in our government funded systems. We cannot allow wasteful spending to proliferate inside our government.

What changes, if any, should be made to the tax code?
Eliminate property taxes and move to a consumption tax to replace that tax which is more fair to everyone who lives a conservative lifestyle. I would also eliminate the Flared Gas Tax in Texas at the state level. Wyoming eliminated it already and once again Texas is behind the curve instead of leading the way. Eliminating taxes is something I live for, and I will do my best to make sure Texas spending gets put back on track. We cannot let our government set our tax dollars on fire with wasteful spending.

Refugees fleeing communism must be permitted to live here as political refugees. We must keep track of them and they are not allowed to vote unless they go through the process to become citizens like every other legal immigrant to the United States.
