RIGHT TO LIFE

Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?

Life begins at conception and is therefore entitled to life, and the rights and protections afforded all persons under our Constitution. Those that would except for rape or incest would appear to hold that one can somehow cover or recompense an evil by killing the innocent, but I just don’t see it.

Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).

Strongly Agree

I support 'aid in dying' laws which legalize assisted suicide and euthanasia.

ECONOMY

What changes, if any, should be made to the tax code?

simplified flat tax. I am working on a bill (if elected) to address inconsistencies in the AG Exemption in Texas

What government spending would you reduce in order to balance the budget?

I would require every budget item that cannot be supported by constitutional authority be phased out, but such a huge part of our economy is now built on government spending /programs these would have to be phased out over 5-10 years . Too rapid a shutdown was a major contributor to the early Reagan era recession.

Taxpayer-funded public education should be guaranteed through college.

Disagree

Article 7 of the Texas Constitution: :...the State to establish and make suitable provision for the support and maintenance of an efficient system of public free schools." But at college level, I would draw the line to include only trade school programs.

RELIGIOUS LIBERTY

Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.

Strongly Disagree

I am a financial and prayer supporter of First Liberty Institute

Under what circumstances can government close churches?

I can think of none that would be justified

HEALTHCARE

What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D)Tax-payer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be de-funded.

As a nation, we have a duty to those that have risked life and limb to defend us, and the Bible has a lot to say about caring for others. So I am closer to "C" but struggle with the fact that the government has become so corrupted that there is little it can run fairly, honestly or efficiently; veterans' healthcare failures have been a prime example.

Under what circumstances (if any) should a government, school, or employer be allowed to require vaccinations?

There is currently no Constitutional provision that would allow the government to make such a requirement, and I am opposed to amending the Constitution

NATIONAL SECURITY

What should the United States do to help eradicate the threat of Islamic terrorism?

No one intentionally steals hubcaps off a mafia boss' car because it isn't worth the price to be paid; when we put a missile through Qaddafi's window in April 1986, he abandoned all further terrorist activities toward the U.S. We have both the technology and financial clout that allows us to convey the message that, "It's just not worth it" without ever setting foot on foreign soil; we only need leadership focused on America first, rather than the current one pursuing a "one world" Marxist / socialist government.

I support the Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement to pressure Israel to withdraw from occupied territories, remove the separation barrier in the West Bank, allow full equality for Arab-Palestinian citizens of Israel, and promote the rights of Palestinian refugees.

Strongly Disagree

God said it belongs to the Jews, and only a fool would argue with Him!

IMMIGRATION

The U.S. should do more to physically secure the southern border.

Strongly Agree

Article I, Sec. 8 calls on Congress to "establish an uniform rule of Naturalization", and the President under his oath to uphold the Constitution, is duty bound to enforce those rules. We have existing federal immigration laws and the international political / financial leverage to shut down illegal immigration almost immediately, but until we can get a change in DC, those rules will never be enforced. As to whether or not Texas can raise its own Article I, Sec. 8 "Militia" exclusive of U.S.

Who should be allowed to immigrate to the U.S. and under what circumstances?

Immigration America is a nation of immigrants, and its doors should be open to all who come to it lawfully, respecting its heritage and laws, desiring to become a contributing part of its success, desiring to be “American”. There are no white, black, yellow, brown, red or any other color or hyphenated Americans. One is either an American or not. We are proud of our Christian heritage and its work ethic, and will not respect or welcome anyone that will abase it. Those who seek to immigrate here and transplant their failed systems, either of laws or traditions, should be permanently returned to from whence they came.

VALUES

Judeo-Christian values established a framework of morality which is necessary for our system of limited government.

Strongly Agree

Please see answer to #4 below

I support adding gender identity as a specially protected class in non-discrimination laws.

Strongly Disagree

People struggling with who they are need mercy and help, but not encouragement in what will be a dead end.

I agree with Critical Race Theory (CRT) which asserts that the institutions in the United States are fundamentally racist.

Strongly Disagree

"Fundamental racism" does not exist, but it is central to the CRT curriculum. The purpose of the CRT curriculum is to create a division among people with a loss of personal and national identity, so that it can then create a new national / global identity.

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

It is recorded that in the beginning, God gave dominion over the earth to Adam and Eve and told them to: “…fill the earth, and subdue it;…”.Genesis 1:28 From that time, many godless nations have come and gone, but in their time, the founders of America had a vision for a nation under God, one that would endure and take the light of Christ to the world. They intended for the church to be the watchman over our nation as it grew in might and influence, and to remind us, our founders engraved scripture verses in abundance on every significant structure of government in our capital. They crafted a Constitution intended for a Godly and moral people, and the first amendment to it was to make clear that the government should be wholly prohibited from interfering with the church as the watchman; not as some claim, “separating” the church from the state, for nowhere does that word appear, but rather to bind the hands of government saying, “Congress shall make no law…”. Amendment 1, United States Constitution, ratified in 1791 Before my father passed he told me that when he was a boy, a teachers’ biggest problems were kids running in the halls, or chewing gum when they were not supposed to. If junior got out of line, he got a paddling from the principal and another from dad when he got home. Well, the paddle is gone and so are the Ten Commandments from the school walls. Replacing them are the schools’ private police force, and we are spending hundreds of millions on counselors and mental health programs, with little apparent success in turning the tide In days of old, God said to the watchman, “…When I say to the wicked, ‘You shall surely die’; and you do not warn him or speak out…that man shall die in his iniquity , but his blood I will require at your hand...” Ezekiel 3:16-20 This commission or warning was echoed by Jesus when he said, “…from everyone who has been given much shall much be required…”Luke 12:48 “but if the salt has become tasteless…It is good for nothing any more, except to be thrown out and trampled under foot by men.” Matthew 5:13 Tragically, just as King Solomon fell away in his latter days 1 Kings 11:3-8, the church in America has increasingly lost its way; so much so that in the 1960’s a writer for Time Magazine aptly posed the question: “Is God Dead?” The answer was of course, “No”. It is not God that is dead, but perhaps it is the church that has died. It’s not that there aren’t people in the pews on Sunday, but that the church abandoned its friendship with God, for friendship with the world. It left its faith in the pews, or hid it at home not wanting to offend anyone, and so its influence is largely gone. “Politics” in America is the divinely given privilege and responsibility to choose our leaders, for the purpose of directing the future of our nation and its influence on the world. Too often the church has stayed silently at home and so America now teeters on the brink of collapse into a God hating marxist/socialist state. I am running for Texas House District 65 because America and Texas are under assault, and I am willing to stand up and say, “No More!.”

ELECTIONS AND VOTING

People should be able to vote without photo identification.

Strongly Disagree

It is a key part of securing the election process

What laws would you propose to change present voting practices?

Photo ID and paper ballots required, no electronic transmission, close dual party monitoring or mandatory 3rd party audit otherwise. I saw Trumps vote count go down on live TV for one state, and saw the same thing in the CA recall election earlier this year; this can only happen if someone is online manipulating it. Last election, In my own Precinct, the two sign-in Poll Pads at my location did not have the exact same list of voters, and I heard that some other precincts in my county had the same problem.

EQUALITY

Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?

While there will always be someone who does not like someone because of difference of color, origin of nationality, political affiliation, etc.., people of every color, and creed have attained to the highest offices and degree of success possible in America. However, a false perception "Racism" is being fostered by the Marxist /socialist movement in America, to create anger, bitterness, and a general collapse of society. They have been very successful in DC, and the northeast and west coast states; largely through influence and/or control of the curriculum in our school systems for decades, and the manipulation of social programs creating a permanent dependence. This movement is a threat to America, and global peace and prosperity; in America, people are leaving those states by the hundreds of thousands every year for Texas, Florida and a few other states, but I would suggest that running is not the answer.

Reparations should be given to people on the basis of race.

Strongly Disagree

"Reparation" as being pushed ignores the fact that the slave trade was largely fed by blacks enslaving and selling their own. Slavery and indentured servitude in America were not just white on black, but many immigrants of all races came to America as such. Further, some of America's most notorious slave traders /breeders were black: Johnson, Ellison, Dubuclet, Metoyer.....

ENERGY & ENVIRONMENT

Which comes closest to your view? A) Stricter environmental laws and regulations cost too many jobs and hurt the economy. B) Stricter environmental laws and regulations are worth the cost.

"A"

I support the use of hydraulic fracking to extract oil and natural gas resources.

Agree

Consideration and protection needs to be given to proximity surface structures that might be harmed

ABOUT YOU

What do you think is the general purpose of government?

Purpose is to defend and protect our God given inalienable rights to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.

When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and religious liberty, which of the following best describes you overall?

Very Conservative

the founders of America had a vision for a nation under God, one that would endure and take the light of Christ to the world. As the 2020 Presidential Elector for Congressional District 26, at the meeting of the Electors to cast their votes, i was one of only 2-3 who dared to speak in favor of a Resolution presented (by another) which then passed 34-4; you have my permission to request a copy of the recording from the state. CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY

Police officers should be personally immune from prosecution for conduct consistent with departmental policy (qualified immunity) while on duty.

Strongly Agree

As Precinct Chair for Pct 4018, in 2020 I drafted a resolution along these lines. It passed by an overwhelming majority vote in SD 12 and SD30

I support redirecting funds from police departments to mental health and community programs.

Strongly Disagree

Another Marxist / socialist concept intended to destabilize society

2ND AMENDMENT

What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?

The Constitution bars a standing army and assumes that the people armed and ready can be called when needed. There must be consequences for improper use of firearms, as there are for all other types of "bad" behavior, but not limits.

Victims of gun violence should be able to sue firearms dealers and manufacturers.

Strongly Disagree

Under this concept, one could sue GM, or a knife manufacturer, 3M or just about anyone for someone's improper use of their product
