QUESTIONNAIRE

RIGHT TO LIFE

Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?

I believe life begins at conception and ends at natural death, and will oppose any expansion of abortion rights in Texas. Abortion should only be allowed—as a last resort—to save the life of a mother.

Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).

Strongly Agree

Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).

I support 'aid in dying' laws which legalize assisted suicide and euthanasia.

Strongly Disagree

ECONOMY

What changes, if any, should be made to the tax code?

We should keep the current system of low personal and business rates in place at the Federal level. A solution to reduce property taxes on hard working Texans must be developed. An initial solution would be to use Federal government money given out for Coronavirus relief to buy down and lower school M&O property taxes. School districts should be required to conduct efficiency audits with portions of this money and eliminate waste, fraud, and abuse as well as identify further efficiencies. A state income tax SHOULD NEVER be a consideration in Texas.

What government spending would you reduce in order to balance the budget?

The State of Texas is required to have a balanced budget. However, debt at the local level must be reigned in. Combined local debt is greater than state debt. At the Federal level, we do not have the money to pay for everyone's college debt or convert our economic system to socialism. We are currently over $29 Trillion in debt and this increases massively every day. A sharp reduction in government spending is necessary for the stability of our country and economic system.

Taxpayer-funded public education should be guaranteed through college.

Strongly Disagree

RELIGIOUS LIBERTY

Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.

Strongly Disagree

Under what circumstances can government close churches?

The government has no right to shut down churches or impede the free exercise of religion.

HEALTHCARE

What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D)Tax-payer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be de-funded.

Option C. Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary, most closely matches my view on healthcare.

Under what circumstances (if any) should a government, school, or employer be allowed to require vaccinations?

All Texans have a natural right to determine, through informed consent, their own medical interventions and treatments in private consultation with their medical providers without government or employers interfering in that sacred and sacrosanct doctor-patient relationship. In fact, protecting those medical rights and freedoms is already detailed in the Republican Party of Texas' Platform.

NATIONAL SECURITY

What should the United States do to help eradicate the threat of Islamic terrorism?

To help eradicate the threat of Islamic terrorism, The United States should focus on border security as a strong line of defense against extremists. There is a renewed threat of Islamic terrorism because of the Biden Administration's disastrous and deadly withdrawal from Afghanistan. Continuing to take the fight to extremists abroad, protecting our borders, and remaining vigilant about domestic Islamic terrorism threats is a three pronged approach that has proven effective.

I support the Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement to pressure Israel to withdraw from occupied territories, remove the separation barrier in the West Bank, allow full equality for Arab-Palestinian citizens of Israel, and promote the rights of Palestinian refugees.

Strongly Disagree

IMMIGRATION

The U.S. should do more to physically secure the southern border.

Strongly Agree

Who should be allowed to immigrate to the U.S. and under what circumstances?

A strong Southern border is a priority for the safety and security of Texans and their families. After a flood of illegal immigrants, only legal immigrants with a specific needed skill set and certain political refugees that have provided successful applications should be allowed legal immigration status at this point.

VALUES

Judeo-Christian values established a framework of morality which is necessary for our system of limited government.

Strongly Agree

I support adding gender identity as a specially protected class in non-discrimination laws.

Strongly Disagree

I agree with Critical Race Theory (CRT) which asserts that the institutions in the United States are fundamentally racist.

Strongly Disagree

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

I am a devoted and Conservative Christian with Conservative values that regularly volunteers at church.

ELECTIONS AND VOTING

People should be able to vote without photo identification.

Strongly Disagree

What laws would you propose to change present voting practices?

I will ensure that Texas’ Photo ID law remains in full force and effect. Some form of approved ID must be a minimum requirement to vote. One cannot rent a car, send a Fedex package, stay at a hotel, or even go to the library without an ID card. Additionally, I would propose a full audit of the voter rolls and ongoing auditing to ensure that ineligible or deceased voters are removed. These audits should include ongoing address verification, removal of non-residential addresses, and cross reference of Social Security death database.

EQUALITY

Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?

Our foreign enemies are always looking to divide us and do so by stoking the flames of racism. A united America is a strong America. The dedicated men and women of our military should be focused on the looming threats from the Chinese Communist Party and Vladimir Putin.

Reparations should be given to people on the basis of race.

Strongly Disagree

ENERGY & ENVIRONMENT

Which comes closest to your view? A) Stricter environmental laws and regulations cost too many jobs and hurt the economy. B) Stricter environmental laws and regulations are worth the cost.

Option A (Stricter environmental laws and regulations cost too many jobs and hurt the economy) comes closest to my views. Innovation from capitalistic countries has always proven to be a better solution to our problems than sweeping governmental mandates. For example, it was an innovative corporation that brought Electric Vehicles mainstream. Also, the Texas Oil and Gas Industry’s natural gas development and production has reduced air pollution by one-half, while also allowing for a path to energy independence.

I support the use of hydraulic fracking to extract oil and natural gas resources.

Strongly Agree

I support the use of hydraulic fracking to extract oil and natural gas resources. Energy independence is crucial for the US. Otherwise, we are dependent upon OPEC Plus for political favors. The dependency approach is contrary to America’s national security interests and also fosters trade imbalances.

ABOUT YOU

What do you think is the general purpose of government?

I believe the general purpose of government is to provide for the defense of the Nation, safeguard liberty and freedom including religious liberty, to act as a referee in disputes, and to provide a level playing field for free enterprise by protecting private property rights.

When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and religious liberty, which of the following best describes you overall?

Conservative

Please provide publicly available information, including interviews and media reports, validating your answer to the previous question (other than your website).

Did not answer

Have you ever been convicted of a felony or been penalized in either civil or criminal court for sexual misconduct? If so, please explain.

No, I have never been convicted of a felony or been penalized in either civil or criminal court for sexual misconduct.

What else would you like voters to know about you, including your legislative priorities?

I want Texas to be the best place in the world to raise a family and start a business.

CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY

Police officers should be personally immune from prosecution for conduct consistent with departmental policy (qualified immunity) while on duty.

Agree

I support redirecting funds from police departments to mental health and community programs.

Strongly Disagree

2ND AMENDMENT

What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?

No additional gun ownership restrictions are necessary for public safety. To increase public safety, Second Amendment rights should be expanded and restored for law-abiding citizens. Consistent enforcement of current firearms laws would keep guns out of the hands of criminals.

Victims of gun violence should be able to sue firearms dealers and manufacturers.
