QUESTIONNAIRE
RIGHT TO LIFE
Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).
Strongly Agree
It is completely unconstitutional and a violation of the Hatch Amendment to use any citizen's federal tax dollars for abortion, and by the same principle, state or local funds should not be used.
Chemical abortion drugs should meet essential safety standards (such as in-person consultation with a medical doctor) and require reporting to gather evidence on reactions and outcomes.
Strongly Agree
The Supreme Court should rule against the FDA for their removal of all safeguards on a woman's health through mail order chemical abortion drugs without any doctor's supervision. In Congress, I would work to ensure that the FDA and other government agencies do not enact an arbitrary waiving of their own guidelines.
Under what circumstances should an elective abortion be allowed?
Exceptions should be made in the case of rape, incest or the life of the mother.
Does the federal government have a role to play in limiting abortion, and if so what federal steps and/or federal legislation would you support?
There are places for Federal Pro-life legislation, and there is precedent with the Partial Birth Abortion Ban and the Born Alive Act. I would support common sense pro-life legislation that reflects the views of the majority of Americans. The fact that states like Colorado allow abortion up until the moment of birth is unconscionable and should never be allowed in a civilized society.
ECONOMY
What actions would you take that would allow Americans to retain more of their income and wealth?
We need to make the Trump tax cuts permanent, further reduce taxes and stop the overspending of government. I would push for a balanced budget amendment and single subject appropriation bills which can reduce the pork spending of government.
Student loan forgiveness unfairly shifts the financial burden to those not responsible for student debt.
Strongly Agree
This is an unconstitutional redistribution of debt, and Biden's continued attempt to circumvent the Supreme Court ruling is an abuse of power ignoring the checks and balances built into our system.
Should environmental and social issues, like ESG (environmental, social, and governance) ratings, be used as criteria in deciding where to invest public monies?
No
The government should never be tipping the scales in favor of one industry over another which is what is occurring with green new deal mandates and ESG guidelines.
RELIGIOUS LIBERTY
What does "separation of church and state" mean to you?
It comes from the letter that Thomas Jefferson wrote to the Danbury Baptists ensuring that government would never interfere with the free exercise of religion. It has been misappropriated to try and silence religious institutions in the public square. The Constitutional principle that I will fight to uphold is freedom of religion not government forced freedom "from" religion.
Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.
Strongly Disagree
I led the rallies in front of the Supreme Court steps during the NIFLA vs Becerra and 303 Creative arguments. No individual, business or organization should have compelled speech forced on them that is contrary to their beliefs. This was correctly decided by SCOTUS to protect everyone including atheists to not be compelled to promote religion, LGBTQ individuals not to be coerced to advocate for traditional marriage as well as people of faith to be free from forced expression against their views.
HEALTHCARE
Under what circumstances (if any) should a government, school, or employer be allowed to require vaccinations?
The government should be never force vaccinations as this is one of our most fundamental freedoms over oneself. Private organizations may have different guidelines but religious and medical exemptions should be honored.
What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D) Taxpayer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be defunded.
C) The private sector always allows for the greatest opportunity for competition, reduced prices, innovation, excellence in care, and choice for citizens and government was never constitutionally directed to take over this huge sector of our society. There is a limited space for government as a safety net for a very specific group of citizens, but safeguards need to be in place to ensure this is not abused and broadened beyond the real need.
NATIONAL SECURITY
With regard to America's foreign policy, which view most closely resembles yours: A) The United States should intervene whenever freedom is threatened. B) The United States should selectively help countries trying to grow democracy and fight tyranny. C) The United States has become too involved in others' policies and should remain focused on issues regarding our own sovereignty unless in imminent danger. D) The United States should stay out of foreign conflicts completely.
B) America should be very circumspect in its military involvement, especially when it comes to deploying our troops, and our own security should always be first starting with securing our border. There are instances with key allies such as Israel where we should support them as there are existential threats to the basic tenets of civilization and to the U.S. as well. Lastly, these decisions must return to proper process of Congressional oversight.
The Chinese Communist Party poses serious military, cyber security, intellectual property, and global economic threats to the United States.
Strongly Agree
We must stand against Chinese subterfuge on our soil, its purchase of our lands, the infiltration of our sensitive technology, and the CCCP's aggressions abroad.
Is the United States' relationship with Israel important, and if so why?
The United States' relationship with Israel is extremely important both because of it being the only freely democratic country in a very sensitive region, as well as because Israel is on the front lines of a battle between civilization and barbarism that will come to our shores if it is not fought abroad. America and Israel share Judeo-Christian founding principles, shared ideology of the intrinsic value of life, and a commitment to freedom. They are a key ally.
What are the causes of decline in U.S. military recruitment and retention?
The primary cause of the decline is the politicization of military. The woke ideologies that are being pushed into our forces are contrary to the very fiber of those who choose to serve our nation as cohesive, not divided units, standing on the singular principle of equality not forced equity and division. That with the forced vaccination policies during the shutdown along with a cultural shift away from honoring service have caused this depletion and I am committed to reversing these policies.
IMMIGRATION
The U.S. should do more to physically secure the southern border.
Strongly Agree
Having toured the southern border, listening to federal agents tasked with securing our border, I will fight in congress to finish building the wall, ensure that our officers have everything they need to once again patrol and not just process. I would also then work to remove the incentives that are luring people here with a false welcome mat at the expense of U.S. citizens and overwhelming our systems. Ending this humanitarian and national security disaster is my top priority.
Who should be allowed to immigrate to the U.S. and under what circumstances?
We need to enforce our current immigration laws that outline a clear path of United States citizenship. This outlines clear guidelines that only those who wish to come here legally, adhere to our laws and principles of freedom, and desire to become contributing members of society that will enrich the fabric of this country, should be allowed to immigrate. In addition, regarding asylum, the guidelines are clear and we need to return to those standards.
EDUCATION
I support school choice, including voucher programs, tax credits, charter schools, private schools, and home schools.
Strongly Agree
I have been on the frontline fighting for school choice and the right of parents to direct the education and upbringing of their children. This includes serving founding Parents United America and serving on boards that have been on the leading front of Educational Savings Accounts and tax credit programs. In Congress, I will be an ardent advocate for the money following the student not the system. The group that most benefits from this are underprivileged children trapped in failing schools.
I support eliminating the U.S. Department of Education and giving control back to states and communities.
Strongly Agree
The Department of Education was only formed in 197 as an agreement between President Jimmy Carter and the teacher's unions and it gives power to the federal government instead of the original intent of local control.
VALUES
Marriage is a God-ordained, sacred and legal union of one man and one woman. No government has the authority to alter this definition.
Choose not to answer
There is a distinction between religious and civil unions which has been blurred in our current culture.
Children are the most vulnerable members of society and must be protected from abuse, including gender ideology, grooming, and bodily mutilation.
Strongly Agree
Taxpayer funds should be used to provide gender transition services.
Strongly Disagree
Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.
I am a non-denominational Biblically-based Christian. My faith is at the center of my life, my marriage and our family. My husband and I met at our church, have raised our children in our faith community, and continue to serve our congregation.
ELECTIONS AND VOTING
People should be able to vote without photo identification.
Strongly Disagree
I am committed to free and fair elections which are the cornerstone of our representative government. Therefore we should make sure that every valid votes count, which in turn means that an invalid vote should not be allowed. Photo identification is one of the keys to ensuring we safeguard our elections.
The Electoral College should be abolished.
Strongly Disagree
The electoral college was ingeniously created to ensure that all citizens regardless of region or population density have a voice in their own representation. If the electoral college is abolished, a handful of the most populous urban areas would dictate public policy for all other areas in our country.
EQUALITY
I agree with Critical Race Theory (CRT) which asserts that the institutions in the United States are fundamentally racist.
Strongly Disagree
America while birthed in a period when slavery was the norm throughout history and the entire world, had the seeds of emancipation in our founding documents and the revolutionary idea of equality of all people at its core. The process since then has been to constantly work on becoming a more perfect union, however it is not inherently racist.
Biological males should not be allowed to participate in women's sports or occupy biological women's spaces whether it be bathrooms, locker rooms, sorority houses, women's shelters, or prison.
Strongly Agree
It is fundamentally unfair for biological males to compete in women's sports, and a violation of privacy for them to occupy women's spaces. It is diametrically opposed to the long fought victory of Title IX which was enacted to create a fair playing field and safe spaces for women and girls.
ENERGY & ENVIRONMENT
Man-made climate change is a global threat and requires urgent political action.
Choose not to answer
All of us want a healthy environment, however the unconstitutional push by government to tip the scales for green new deal programs, is an overreach of federal power. Improvements in emissions and clean energy have been driven through innovation by the industries themselves not politically motivated mandates. Our focus to address pollution should instead be directed towards the largest global offenders such as China.
What do you believe is the most reliable energy source that will supply the growing demand for electricity?
I support an all-of-the above energy policy that should include nuclear power in addition to traditional and innovative energy sources.
ABOUT YOU
When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and religious liberty, which of the following best describes you overall?
Conservative
My definition of Conservative is someone who upholds the constitution which was written to limit government's power over the individual and make it accountable to the citizens who are the very source of that power. By that standard I am very Conservative and as a Congresswoman I will completely adhere to my oath to uphold and defend the Constitution of the United States of America.
What do you think is the general purpose of government?
I believe that America is founded upon the revolutionary idea of governance that has occurred once in all of human history, that every individual is created with intrinsic value and therefore individual liberty, and government has only one job, which is to protect the rights and security of the citizens.
Have you ever been penalized for sexual misconduct in either civil or criminal court? If so, please explain.
No
Have you ever been convicted of a felony? If so, please explain.
No
JUDICIAL PHILOSOPHY
The Supreme Court should be reformed to include more seats.
Strongly Disagree
The moment we begin to pack the court, it completely loses its power to be an independent check and balance for the other branches of government and instead becomes completely politicized. History shows that the loss of integrity of the Judicial Branch is often the first step in the loss of freedom.
CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY
I support redirecting funds from police departments to community programs.
Strongly Disagree
Our brave men and women who stand in the gap protecting our communities need more resources not less. There is a place for community organizations, but never as a replacement or at the expense of law enforcement.
2ND AMENDMENT
What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?
All we need to do is enforce our current gun laws, not add more. The constitutionally delineated right for law abiding citizens to protect themselves, their families, their property and their freedom should not be infringed.
