QUESTIONNAIRE

RIGHT TO LIFE

Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?

I don't believe government should be dictating morality. Our heavenly father is the judge of that. I believe that abortion should NOT be used as a form of birth control. I would consider it being allowed for rape or incest but support the fact that our MI constitution currently states it's against the law. I would support not opening the constitution.

Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).

Strongly Agree

I support 'aid in dying' laws which legalize assisted suicide and euthanasia.

Neutral

I don't believe that suicide, as we traditionally think of it, is ever an option as a Christian. As far as euthanasia goes, I know of several who's wishes would have been to have this option vs living in pain or in a comatose state with no quality of life.

ECONOMY

What changes, if any, should be made to the tax code?

I would be in favor of simplifying the tax code and reducing the loop holes (which cost our government money) to work around the codes. Sales tax is one area to revisit.

What government spending would you reduce in order to balance the budget?

My goal is to serve on appropriations so we can reduce the budget, create sustainable funding for the needs of our communities and not the wants. Reduce the grant requirements to get funding for the needs of our communities. One size doesn't fit all, especially for our rural areas.

Taxpayer-funded public education should be guaranteed through college.

Strongly Disagree

RELIGIOUS LIBERTY

Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.

Strongly Disagree

Under what circumstances can government close churches?

There is no circumstance where this should be allowed.

HEALTHCARE

What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D)Tax-payer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be de-funded.

C

Under what circumstances (if any) should a government, school, or employer be allowed to require vaccinations?

In years past, vaccinations for school entry made sense when it came to diseases like polio and chicken pox, how ever, we have blurred those lines when COVID came along. Flu and COVID vaccines are not the same as those for the diseases. This should be a parents choice.

NATIONAL SECURITY

What should the United States do to help eradicate the threat of Islamic terrorism?

International diplomacy is not my area of expertise, but I do believe our first priority is to protect our country. I also include those who live in this country who don't support our values and what we were founded on, as a form of terrorism. We should stand up and always provide the resources to our military to do what is needed to erase this threat.

I support the Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement to pressure Israel to withdraw from occupied territories, remove the separation barrier in the West Bank, allow full equality for Arab-Palestinian citizens of Israel, and promote the rights of Palestinian refugees.

Neutral

I would need more information on this to give you an honest answer.

IMMIGRATION

The U.S. should do more to physically secure the southern border.

Strongly Disagree

iVoterGuide Notes:

Candidate notified iVoterGuide.com that her answer should be "Strongly Agree."

Who should be allowed to immigrate to the U.S. and under what circumstances?

Immigration has it's rules and processes. We are a free country and welcome ALL who wish to abide by our constitution and our laws. We should not be allowing people to cross our borders and NOT go through that process.

EDUCATION

I support school choice, including voucher programs, tax credits, charter schools, private schools, and home schools.

Strongly Agree

VALUES

Judeo-Christian values established a framework of morality which is necessary for our system of limited government.

Strongly Agree

I support adding gender identity as a specially protected class in non-discrimination laws.

Strongly Agree

There are only 2 genders and we should not be confusing this.

iVoterGuide Notes:

Candidate notified iVoterGuide.com that her answer should be "Strongly Disagree.   There are only 2 genders, and we should not be confusing this."

Marriage is a God-ordained, sacred and legal union of one man and one woman. No government has the authority to alter this definition

Strongly Agree

I agree with Critical Race Theory (CRT) which asserts that the institutions in the United States are fundamentally racist.

Strongly Disagree

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

I grew up in a Baptist Church where I accepted Jesus as my savior at the age of 10 during one of our church camps. It is my faith that keeps me grounded and has helped me work through challenges in my life. I learned in church camp to listen to others and understand where they are coming from. Even the missionaries were sharing that some people have not heard the word of God and we can't judge them for that, but help share with them. I hope that people will know my faith by my actions, not just my words.

ELECTIONS AND VOTING

People should be able to vote without photo identification.

Strongly Disagree

What laws would you propose to change present voting practices?

Our current voting laws are good. There has always been some room for error. I believe that our House of Representatives should hold funds from the Secretary of State when they overstep their authority and change the laws we have. We should not mass mail absentee ballots, we should require photo ID and verify signatures.

EQUALITY

Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?

No, racism has become a way to place blame on your situation. Everyone has control over their own decisions. Equal opportunity does not mean equal outcomes.

Reparations should be given to people on the basis of race.

Disagree

ENERGY & ENVIRONMENT

Which comes closest to your view? A) Stricter environmental laws and regulations cost too many jobs and hurt the economy. B) Stricter environmental laws and regulations are worth the cost.

A

I support the use of hydraulic fracking to extract oil and natural gas resources.

Agree

ABOUT YOU

What do you think is the general purpose of government?

To protect our God given rights and freedoms.

When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and religious liberty, which of the following best describes you overall?

Very Conservative

Please provide publicly available information, including interviews and media reports, validating your answer to the previous question (other than your website).

I'm not a current legislator, so I don't have them.

Have you ever been convicted of a felony or been penalized in either civil or criminal court for sexual misconduct? If so, please explain.

No

What else would you like voters to know about you, including your legislative priorities?

I'm - Pro-Life, Pro 2nd Amendment, Pro-Law Enforcement, Supporter of our Veterans, Supporter of Election Integrity, Committed to Quality Education for All, Pro-Job Providers, Anti-Mandates. I believe that people come before politics. I believe in less government oversight and a common-sense approach to solving problems. I will stand up for what is right, even if I have to stand alone.

CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY

Police officers should be personally immune from prosecution for conduct consistent with departmental policy (qualified immunity) while on duty.

Strongly Agree

I support redirecting funds from police departments to mental health and community programs.

Disagree

I don't believe in taking funds away from our police. I believe if we use our tax dollars wisely, we can provide more money for mental health.

2ND AMENDMENT

What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?

Our current background check and providing hunter safety courses is very valuable.

Victims of gun violence should be able to sue firearms dealers and manufacturers.

Disagree

It's not the guns that are the problem, it's the mental health and the restrictions we place on agencies (schools included) to not discuss or disclose what is seen or heard. We should be able to notify law enforcement and they should be able to help stop incidents before they happen.
