OTHER INFORMATION

QUESTIONNAIRE

RIGHT TO LIFE

Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?

Abortion should not be allowed under any circumstance other than to save the life of the mother. Even in such a case, every attempt should be made to save each life involved.

Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).

Strongly Agree

I support 'aid in dying' laws which legalize assisted suicide and euthanasia.

Strongly Disagree

ECONOMY

What changes, if any, should be made to the tax code?

Tax rates should be significantly lowered and more fairly distributed - the lowest possible rate for the broadest possible base. I will focus first on eliminating income and property taxes as I believe individuals are entitled to the money for which they work and no one should be forced to perpetually rent their property from the government.

What government spending would you reduce in order to balance the budget?

I will work to reduce or eliminate all government spending not related to the appropriate function of government (as stated by our founders, the role of government is to secure our rights).

Taxpayer-funded public education should be guaranteed through college.

Disagree

The current model of government K-12 is deeply flawed and as long as it continues, our future generations will be robbed of the best possible education options. Also, this model has opened the door to increased levels of radical leftist indoctrination in schools, including warped gender ideology and inappropriate approaches to sexual education.

RELIGIOUS LIBERTY

Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.

Strongly Disagree

Under what circumstances can government close churches?

The government should never be able to close the normal operations of churches.

HEALTHCARE

What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D)Tax-payer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be de-funded.

My view is between "C" and "D." The government should have very little involvement in Healthcare.

Under what circumstances (if any) should a government, school, or employer be allowed to require vaccinations?

Government and government run schools should never be allowed to require vaccinations. Private organizations and employers may make mutual agreements with other parties, including on this topic, as long as such agreements are entered into freely.

NATIONAL SECURITY

What should the United States do to help eradicate the threat of Islamic terrorism?

Extremist Islamic teaching that promotes law-breaking and violence should be criminally investigated and prosecuted. Attempts to replace U.S. law with Sharia must be stopped. Terror attacks should be met with a proportional response, destroying those responsible.

I support the Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement to pressure Israel to withdraw from occupied territories, remove the separation barrier in the West Bank, allow full equality for Arab-Palestinian citizens of Israel, and promote the rights of Palestinian refugees.

Strongly Disagree

IMMIGRATION

The U.S. should do more to physically secure the southern border.

Strongly Agree

President Trump was leading in the right direction on this. Our country must secure all of our borders.

Who should be allowed to immigrate to the U.S. and under what circumstances?

Immigration policy should shift over time, always reevaluating the best interest of our country when deciding how many immigrants should enter. Immigrants should generally come from the pool of applicants who most closely match our traditional American values of faith and liberty.

EDUCATION

I support school choice, including voucher programs, tax credits, charter schools, private schools, and home schools.

Strongly Agree

VALUES

Judeo-Christian values established a framework of morality which is necessary for our system of limited government.

Strongly Agree

I support adding gender identity as a specially protected class in non-discrimination laws.

Strongly Disagree

Marriage is a God-ordained, sacred and legal union of one man and one woman. No government has the authority to alter this definition

Strongly Agree

I agree with Critical Race Theory (CRT) which asserts that the institutions in the United States are fundamentally racist.

Strongly Disagree

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

I have been a Christian for my entire life and Jesus Christ is my Lord and Savior.

ELECTIONS AND VOTING

People should be able to vote without photo identification.

Strongly Disagree

What laws would you propose to change present voting practices?

Elections in Michigan are not currently secure, robbing the public of confidence in their voice. While the following list is not comprehensive, it includes many of the changes that I believe would help secure our elections. 1) Require photo identification to vote. 2) Eliminate the use of any voting machine that is vulnerable to corruption. Any use of secure voting machines should be automatically accompanied by a hand count to validate accurate results. 3) Absentee voting should only be available in cases where it is necessary (for example, military personnel or individuals who are not physically able to go to the polls on election day) and should require voter initiation and strict identify verification by the clerk. Absentee ballots should be returned to the clerk in person or through the mail (unattended drop boxes should be eliminated). 4) Voter rolls should be routinely updated to ensure accuracy and periodic voter registration, prior to election day, should be required. 5) Proceedures regarding election workers, challengers, and observers should be implemented in a clear and non-partisan way. Breach of these proceedures (for instance, election workers not respecting the rights of poll challengers) should result in criminal penalty. 6) The canvassing and certification process should include thorough investigation of irregularities and referrals to law enforcement when illegality is reported. Certification should not take place until such issues are investigated and resolved. 7) Private funding should be prohibited in public elections. 8) Election record retention requirements should be lengthened and public access to these records should be increased.

EQUALITY

Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?

No. Racism is, rightly, nearly universally scorned in the United States.

Reparations should be given to people on the basis of race.

Strongly Disagree

ENERGY & ENVIRONMENT

Which comes closest to your view? A) Stricter environmental laws and regulations cost too many jobs and hurt the economy. B) Stricter environmental laws and regulations are worth the cost.

"A" is closer to my view.

I support the use of hydraulic fracking to extract oil and natural gas resources.

Strongly Agree

ABOUT YOU

What do you think is the general purpose of government?

To secure the rights of the governed.

When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and religious liberty, which of the following best describes you overall?

Very Conservative

Please provide publicly available information, including interviews and media reports, validating your answer to the previous question (other than your website).

Media interviews, including OAN, Newsmax, Big League Politics, and We the Parents can all be found on my facebook page. In these interviews I consistently maintain the same views expressed here.

Have you ever been convicted of a felony or been penalized in either civil or criminal court for sexual misconduct? If so, please explain.

No

What else would you like voters to know about you, including your legislative priorities?

I am proud to have the endorsement of national leaders like President Trump and Senators Ted Cruz and Marsha Blackburn, who know how important Michigan is to the future of our entire nation. I believe conservative voters are routinely let down by "conservative politicians" who say all the right things during an election cycle, then either abandon those positions during their term or lack the fortitude to stand up and fight for them. We live in a time when we must move past simply asking whether a politician agrees with us - we must ask if they are ready to fight for us. I am.

CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY

Police officers should be personally immune from prosecution for conduct consistent with departmental policy (qualified immunity) while on duty.

Strongly Agree

I support redirecting funds from police departments to mental health and community programs.

Strongly Disagree

2ND AMENDMENT

What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?

None.

Victims of gun violence should be able to sue firearms dealers and manufacturers.

Strongly Disagree
