QUESTIONNAIRE

RIGHT TO LIFE

Human life deserves legal protection from conception until natural death.

Strongly Agree

Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).

Strongly Agree

Under what circumstances should an elective abortion be allowed?

Human life begins at conception and possesses intrinsic worth that deserves legal protection. Elective abortions should not be permitted; state law should strictly restrict abortion to rare cases where a medical emergency directly threatens the physical life of the mother. Focus must instead be placed on holistic maternal healthcare, strong family support resources, and comprehensive care for expectant mothers.

The lives of human embryos created through artificial methods ought to be protected from purposeful destruction.

Strongly Agree

The Comstock Act, which bans interstate transportation of abortion-inducing drugs, should be enforced.

Strongly Agree

ECONOMY

Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.

Strongly Agree

What is your position on the minimum wage?

Wages and compensation are best determined by free-market competition, individual skill, and economic demand rather than government mandates. Mandated wage hikes increase costs for small businesses and reduce entry-level employment opportunities.

I support using taxpayer funds to lobby the state legislature.

Strongly Disagree

List your top 3-5 priorities to eliminate government waste.

As a Certified Financial Planner and budget subcommittee co-chair, my priority to eliminate government waste centers on strict fiscal discipline. I focus on conducting performance audits and fraud controls in high-cost programs like Medicaid, streamlining central agency bureaucracy to direct funds to frontline services, and enforcing rigorous tracking on capital projects to prevent cost overruns. Surpluses must pay down debt and pension liabilities rather than fund recurring spending.

RELIGIOUS LIBERTY

What does "separation of church and state" mean to you?

To me, separation of church and state protects religious freedom from government overreach, not faith from the public square. The First Amendment prevents the state from establishing a national religion or forcing citizens to violate their conscience, while guaranteeing everyone the freedom to live and worship according to their beliefs. Faith-based organizations play a vital role in our communities that government should respect.

Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.

Strongly Disagree

HEALTHCARE

What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D) Taxpayer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be defunded.

Government involvement in healthcare inflates costs, restricts choice, and creates unsustainable taxpayer debt. True health freedom and affordability are achieved when healthcare returns to a pure free-market system driven by transparent pricing, personal responsibility, direct primary care, and voluntary charity, not government entitlement programs or taxpayer subsidies. Public policy should empower individuals, not bureaucratic systems.

The government should keep a database of people with various ongoing medical illnesses to assess the economic burden of treatment.

Strongly Disagree

NATIONAL SECURITY

The Chinese Communist Party poses serious military, cyber security, intellectual property, and global economic threats to the United States.

Strongly Agree

Is the United States' relationship with Israel important, and if so why?

Israel is a critical democratic partner and strategic intelligence ally in a vital region, and our diplomatic and economic relationship remains deeply important. However, supporting an ally does not mean fighting their wars or entangling American troops in foreign conflicts. Israel is a sovereign, highly capable nation with the right to defend itself. America’s role should be focused on diplomatic support, intelligence sharing, and regional stability, always putting American interests first.

IMMIGRATION

I support the existence of sanctuary cities to protect undocumented persons.

Strongly Disagree

EDUCATION

I support eliminating the U.S. Department of Education and giving control back to states and communities.

Strongly Agree

Foreign governments should be prohibited from funding American education.

Strongly Agree

VALUES

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

My life and public service are grounded in faith and biblical values. Raised in a large family on a DeMossville farm as the 6th of 12 children, I learned early on the power of faith, hard work, stewardship, and personal responsibility. I believe our rights come from our Creator and that every human life is a sacred gift from conception to natural death. My faith guides me to act with integrity, champion traditional families, protect religious liberty, and steward community resources wisely. In the Kentucky Senate and as a business owner, I strive to honor God by defending individual freedom, supporting families, and serving our community.

Marriage is a God-ordained, sacred and legal union of one man and one woman. No government has the authority to alter this definition.

Strongly Agree

I support the expansion of gambling in my state.

Strongly Disagree

Government should recognize and support the fundamental right and essential duty of parents to direct their child's upbringing, including their religious, health, and educational well-being.

Strongly Agree

Attempts to transition or encourage a child to transition to the opposite sex constitutes child abuse.

Strongly Agree

ELECTIONS AND VOTING

People should be able to vote without photo identification.

Strongly Disagree

EQUALITY

Reparations should be given to people on the basis of race.

Strongly Disagree

Biological males should not be allowed to participate in women's sports or occupy biological women's spaces whether it be bathrooms, locker rooms, sorority houses, women's shelters, or prison.

Strongly Agree

ENERGY & ENVIRONMENT

What do you believe is the most reliable energy source that will supply the growing demand for electricity?

Advanced nuclear power—paired with an "all-of-the-above" strategy is the most reliable solution for growing energy needs. Nuclear provides clean, continuous 24/7 baseload power that keeps our grid stable alongside coal and natural gas.

Man-made climate change is a global threat and requires urgent political action.

Disagree

ABOUT YOU

When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and religious liberty, which of the following best describes you overall?

Very Conservative

Have you ever been penalized for sexual misconduct in either civil or criminal court? If so, please explain.

No. I have never been penalized for, charged with, or involved in any sexual misconduct in civil or criminal court.

Have you ever been convicted of a felony? If so, please explain.

No. I have never been convicted of a felony.

CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY

What should be the goal of the criminal justice system?

The primary goal of the criminal justice system is to protect law-abiding citizens, uphold public safety, and enforce the rule of law. A functional justice system must hold offenders accountable, deliver swift justice and restitution for victims, and deter criminal behavior. While rehabilitation should be encouraged for those willing to reform, the government’s highest duty remains safeguarding our communities and ensuring zero tolerance for crime.

Sharia law should not be accepted or incorporated in any form within the legal framework of the United States.

Strongly Agree

The government should use automated-enforcement cameras to track speeding and criminal activity.

Strongly Disagree

2ND AMENDMENT

What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?

Law-abiding citizens have a fundamental, constitutionally protected right to keep and bear arms under the Second Amendment and the Kentucky Constitution. Restrictions on law-abiding gun owners do not protect public safety; they disarm innocent citizens. True public safety requires strictly enforcing existing criminal statutes, prosecuting violent offenders, supporting law enforcement, and addressing severe mental health crises, rather than undermining constitutional rights.
