QUESTIONNAIRE
RIGHT TO LIFE
Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?
I believe that the only circumstance that an abortion should be allowed is when the mother's life is in danger. The mother and/or father would have to make the tough decision to save one life and lose the other, instead of losing two lives.
Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).
Strongly Agree
I support 'aid in dying' laws which legalize assisted suicide and euthanasia.
Strongly Disagree
ECONOMY
What changes, if any, should be made to the tax code?
Property taxes in Texas are some of the highest in the nation. Citizens can never truly own their own home until we find a way to phase out the property tax system. This should be addressed immediately in the 88th Texas Legislative session. If elected by the people I will lead the charge.
What government spending would you reduce in order to balance the budget?
In order to phase out property tax entirely, we will need to put a stronger cap on state spending. We should prioritize the budget, all budget surplus should be directed to reducing the property tax, while ensuring that public schools are fully funded.
Taxpayer-funded public education should be guaranteed through college.
Strongly Disagree
RELIGIOUS LIBERTY
Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.
Strongly Disagree
Under what circumstances can government close churches?
Under no circumstance, should the government close churches. Thankfully, the voters of Texas just approved an amendment to the Texas Constitution, banning the state from prohibiting or limiting religious services, including those in churches and other places of worship.
HEALTHCARE
What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D)Tax-payer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be de-funded.
Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. The American healthcare industry is the best in the world. A free market health insurance industry is needed to promote competition and affordability to its buyers. This also protects hospitals and health care providers, making sure they are paid for the care they provide, and ensures that healthcare is available to all patients that require it.
Under what circumstances (if any) should a government, school, or employer be allowed to require vaccinations?
The choice to be vaccinated is a personal one. The government, school, or employer should be able to advise if vaccinations are needed for public health; however, under no circumstance should a government, school, or employer be allowed to require vaccinations against a citizen's will, if they are asking for an exemption for health or religious freedom reasons.
NATIONAL SECURITY
What should the United States do to help eradicate the threat of Islamic terrorism?
I believe the federal government should always have a "Protect America First" agenda. That means fully funding and supporting our military. That means putting a priority on a comprehensive plan along with our allies to defeat ISIS and Islamic terrorism. To be clear, this is not about the Muslim religion. This is about stopping Islamic terrorism, and keeping our country safe.
I support the Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement to pressure Israel to withdraw from occupied territories, remove the separation barrier in the West Bank, allow full equality for Arab-Palestinian citizens of Israel, and promote the rights of Palestinian refugees.
Strongly Disagree
IMMIGRATION
The U.S. should do more to physically secure the southern border.
Strongly Agree
The United States is counting on Texas to secure our Texas Border. Terrorist cartels are currently controlling our border, and human trafficking is at its highest level in history. We must secure our border and allow our Border Patrol agents to arrest, detain and deport those attempting to enter the United States illegally.
Who should be allowed to immigrate to the U.S. and under what circumstances?
Our nation was built in large part by the hard work of immigrants. We must protect the path to United States citizenship for those people willing to enter legally. That means keeping our borders secure and preventing anyone from entering our country illegally.
VALUES
Judeo-Christian values established a framework of morality which is necessary for our system of limited government.
Strongly Agree
I support adding gender identity as a specially protected class in non-discrimination laws.
Strongly Disagree
I agree with Critical Race Theory (CRT) which asserts that the institutions in the United States are fundamentally racist.
Strongly Disagree
Thankfully, our Texas Legislature and Governor have ensured that Critical Race Theory will never be allowed in Texas Public Schools.
Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.
I am a Christian. My tenets are integrity, service, hard work, accountability, and professional ethics. I believe we should all use our God given talents to further His Kingdom, lead by example, promote Christian values, and show kindness to others. I learned my values from church and growing up in a town where the adults treated each other with respect, worked hard, and looked out for each other. We must protect our Religious Liberty and Family Values first and foremost. Texans and our Nation are depending on us. Our freedom of speech and religion are protected in our First Amendment of our United States Constitution. Now, more than ever, Christians must step forward, and show bold Conservative leadership for Texas and our nation.
ELECTIONS AND VOTING
People should be able to vote without photo identification.
Strongly Disagree
We must have trust and confidence in a secure election process and it must be protected. Illegal voting undermines our democracy. This is a priority and I am committed to making sure Texas keeps the strongest voter ID verification in the nation. I will always vote to ensure that non-citizens will not be allowed to vote.
What laws would you propose to change present voting practices?
We must require ID verification to vote. We must ban ballot harvesting.
EQUALITY
Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?
The liberal agenda has made racism a threat to our domestic security by promoting hate and division. We must protect our children and not allow Critical Race Theory or Racism in our schools.
Reparations should be given to people on the basis of race.
Strongly Disagree
ENERGY & ENVIRONMENT
Which comes closest to your view? A) Stricter environmental laws and regulations cost too many jobs and hurt the economy. B) Stricter environmental laws and regulations are worth the cost.
Stricter environmental laws and regulations cost too many jobs and hurt the economy.
I support the use of hydraulic fracking to extract oil and natural gas resources.
Strongly Agree
ABOUT YOU
What do you think is the general purpose of government?
I am a believer of the United States Constitution. Our government was formed to "establish justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty." The government should protect the liberties of the people.
When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and religious liberty, which of the following best describes you overall?
Very Conservative
Please provide publicly available information, including interviews and media reports, validating your answer to the previous question (other than your website).
I have been interviewed by Montgomery County Gazette. That interview will be available on their website: www.emcgazette.com. I have also participated in two candidate forums that are available on You Tube on the following links: https://youtu.be/pDqPLGcymm4 https://youtu.be/8RXztIFANvE
Have you ever been convicted of a felony or been penalized in either civil or criminal court for sexual misconduct? If so, please explain.
No.
What else would you like voters to know about you, including your legislative priorities?
I am a Christian, born and raised in Texas, wife and mother. I believe in Term Limits because in my opinion, our Founding Fathers of the United States had an idea that representative government means you serve your limited term in office, and then go back and live in the community you helped create. This encourages all Americans to step up and serve their country. I'm asking for your vote to elect me as your next Conservative Republican State Representative for House District 3. From day one, my priorities will be Immediate Property Tax Relief, Protecting the Unborn, Protection of our Second Amendment, and Protection of our Liberties to prevent unlawful vaccine mandates in Texas. I will always protect the Constitutional rights of Texans! I appreciate your time in reading this, and your consideration!
CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY
Police officers should be personally immune from prosecution for conduct consistent with departmental policy (qualified immunity) while on duty.
Strongly Agree
I support redirecting funds from police departments to mental health and community programs.
Strongly Disagree
My father served as a police officer for over thirty years before his death. I will always honor his service and the service of all police officers. They are heroes that charge immediately into the scene of danger to help others. I will always ensure they have our financial support, our respect, and anything they need to succeed.
2ND AMENDMENT
What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?
I believe it is our 2nd Amendment Constitutional right to bear arms. I believe in Constitutional Carry for law-abiding citizens and I will not support restrictions.
Victims of gun violence should be able to sue firearms dealers and manufacturers.
Strongly Disagree
