QUESTIONNAIRE

RIGHT TO LIFE

Under what circumstances should an elective abortion be allowed?

Most North Carolinians agree the only circumstance for an elective abortion would be to save the life of the mother or in the case of incest or rape

Chemical abortion drugs should meet essential safety standards (such as in-person consultation with a medical doctor) and require reporting to gather evidence on reactions and outcomes.

Strongly Agree

I support 'aid in dying' laws which legalize assisted suicide and euthanasia.

Disagree

Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).

Strongly Agree

ECONOMY

Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.

Strongly Agree

Free enterprise is an essential element of any productive economic system. Free enterprise means that people have the ability to form companies and buy and sell competitively in the market with a minimum of government interference. Private property rights are also an essential component to America's economic system. We can never allow the "forfeiture" of personal property like we saw during COVID when the government overstepped their Constitutional authority when the CDC blocked evictions.

What is your position on the minimum wage?

Mandated wage increases would lead to job losses, small-business closures and higher prices for consumers. Wage increases that are not supported by industry standards are burdensome on small businesses and will not pull anyone out of poverty.

Should environmental and social issues, like ESG (environmental, social, and governance) ratings, be used as criteria in deciding where to invest public monies?

No

The damaging effects of ESG policies are numerous, affecting every American. ESG policies are especially harmful to business that do not fall in line with current Climate goals, such as companies within the oil and gas industry, ESG policies are used as a weapon to try to force companies to bend to the will of activists and their political aspirations. ESG policies promote ideological initiatives over providing quality products and services to their consumers.

RELIGIOUS LIBERTY

Under what circumstances can government close churches?

Under no circumstances should the government be allowed to close a church

Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.

Strongly Disagree

Should religious schools which accept state funds be allowed to only admit families and students who agree to adhere to their statement of faith?

Yes

HEALTHCARE

What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D) Taxpayer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be defunded.

Only, Medicaid and Medicare in their current form should remain available.

Under what circumstances (if any) should a government, school, or employer be allowed to require vaccinations?

No American should ever be compelled to take an unwanted vaccination.

NATIONAL SECURITY

The Chinese Communist Party poses serious military, cyber security, intellectual property, and global economic threats to the United States.

Strongly Agree

Is the United States' relationship with Israel important, and if so why?

Intelligence and counter-terrorism cooperation between the United States and Israel is extensive. Working to advance our common interest in defeating terrorism and preventing nuclear proliferation in the region is a core reason why Israel is our most valued ally in the Middle East.

EDUCATION

The state should fund education by allowing dollars to follow the child through programs which protect parents' freedom to choose their child's school – public, private, or homeschool.

Strongly Agree

VALUES

Taxpayer funds should be used to provide gender transition services.

Strongly Disagree

No healthcare diagnosis or treatment, whether mental, reproductive, or otherwise, should be given to a child without first receiving written consent from the parent unless an emergency situation arises risking immediate death.

Strongly Agree

Parents should always be the final arbiter about any decision concerning their children, especially about medical decisions concerning their child.

Children are the most vulnerable members of society and must be protected from abuse, including gender ideology, grooming, and bodily mutilation.

Strongly Agree

Marriage is a God-ordained, sacred and legal union of one man and one woman. No government has the authority to alter this definition.

Strongly Agree

Marriage and Civil Unions are quite different.

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

My core Christian values of integrity, honesty, and compassion, contribute to ethical decision making in my private and professional life.

ELECTIONS AND VOTING

Voting absentee by mail ballot should be limited to those meeting at least one of the following criteria: 1) 65 years of age or older on Election Day, 2) sick or disabled, 3) expecting to give birth within three weeks before or after Election Day, or 4) confirmed to be absent from the county of registration during voting.

Strongly Agree

EQUALITY

Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?

Violence of any kind in America should never be tolerated, but proclaiming racism as a threat to domestic security is false.

I agree with Critical Race Theory (CRT) which asserts that the institutions in the United States are fundamentally racist.

Strongly Disagree

CRT is an attempt by some to further divide America with identity politics. Instead of deepening our divide by allowing those with ulterior motives to push CRT, we should instead laud the positive attributes of America such as our shared national identity based on our core values of equality and liberty.

Biological males should not be allowed to participate in women's sports or occupy biological women's spaces whether it be bathrooms, locker rooms, sorority houses, women's shelters, or prison.

Strongly Agree

I absolutely believe that biological girls and women should be safe in their private spaces such as bathrooms and locker rooms without the intrusion of biological men and biological men should not be allowed to play in girls or women’s sports at any level.

ENERGY & ENVIRONMENT

Which comes closest to your view? (Select all that apply) A) Stricter environmental laws and regulations cost too many jobs and hurt the economy. B) Stricter environmental laws and regulations are worth the cost. C) Stricter environmental laws undermine U.S. energy independence and deter development of reliable electricity sources. D) Climate change is real and requires urgent policy action.

Strict environmental laws are often burdensome and undermine U.S.energy independence. However, we should all endeavor to be good stewards of the environment by taking meaningful steps to protect animals and our waterways.

ABOUT YOU

What do you think is the general purpose of government?

Governments exist to provide the parameters for everyday behavior for their citizens, provide national security by protecting their citizens from outside interference, and to provide opportunities for their citizens well-being and happiness.

Have you ever been convicted of a felony? If so, please explain.

No

Have you ever been penalized for sexual misconduct in either civil or criminal court? If so, please explain.

No

When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and religious liberty, which of the following best describes you overall?

Very Conservative

CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY

I support redirecting funds from police departments to community programs.

Strongly Disagree

As a former police officer, I believe that redirecting funds from police departments will leave these departments without the resources to adequately protect their community leading to an increase in crime and costing the lives of officers and citizens.

2ND AMENDMENT

What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?

I believe the 2nd amendment is America's greatest defense against the evil forces of totalitarianism that is currently rising across America. Many local and state governments have recently sought to strip the 2nd Amendment of its power by imposing new rules and regulations. It is a slippery slope from Red Flag Laws and banning “Assault Weapons” to eliminating the 2nd Amendment altogether. American’s have a God-given right to defend themselves and their families.
