QUESTIONNAIRE

RIGHT TO LIFE

Human life deserves legal protection from conception until natural death.

Strongly Agree

The lives of human embryos created through artificial methods ought to be protected from purposeful destruction.

Strongly Agree

Under what circumstances should an elective abortion be allowed?

Rape, incest, and life of the mother should be exceptions. In cases of rape or incest, as a man, I am uncomfortable imposing my beliefs on a victim. She should decide with her family and medical practitioner. We thank God our children were born without putting my wife’s life at risk. Had I faced that choice, I would have chosen my wife — our children needed their mother, just as I needed her.

Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should receive taxpayer funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).

Strongly Disagree

The Comstock Act, which bans interstate transportation of abortion-inducing drugs, should be enforced.

Strongly Agree

ECONOMY

Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.

Strongly Agree

People who can afford to pay more taxes should do so in order to provide relief for working families.

Choose not to answer

I would first ask: pay voluntarily, or be forced to pay more simply because they earn more? I support a strong safety net for the underprivileged but not penalizing success. I favor a 10% flat tax on households earning $60,000 or more. Relief for working families should provide a helping hand toward independence—not a permanent handout that creates dependency.

The government should cut spending in order to reduce the national debt.

Strongly Agree

List your top 3-5 priorities to eliminate government waste.

1. End baseline budgeting: Make agencies justify every dollar. 2. Audit government: Independent audits with measurable results. 3. Eliminate duplication: Consolidate overlapping programs. 4. Fight fraud, waste & abuse: Strengthen oversight and accountability. 5. Sunset failed programs: End ineffective or obsolete programs. 6. Cut red tape: Eliminate unnecessary regulations that waste time, money, and resources.

RELIGIOUS LIBERTY

Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.

Strongly Disagree

What does "separation of church and state" mean to you?

We take an oath to uphold the Constitution, which protects every American’s right to practice their faith. But no elected official should use government power to impose religious beliefs or practices on the community. I am particularly concerned with growing influence of Islam in America, especially where they control local government and use their authority to promote religious observances, including broadcasting Islamic calls to prayer over loudspeakers. HEALTHCARE

What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D) Taxpayer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be defunded.

My healthcare plan puts patients—not bureaucrats—in control. Underprivileged CITIZENS should receive healthcare vouchers and be free to buy private insurance across state lines, rather than be forced into government-run programs. Financial hardship should never put lives at risk. Legal visitors and illegal immigrants should carry health insurance or have their home government responsible for their medical expenses. Encourage employer coverage and cut regulations to make it easier for CITIZENS.

The government should keep a database of people with various ongoing medical illnesses to assess the economic burden of treatment.

Strongly Disagree

I dislike framing people with illnesses as an “economic burden.” That could lead to government rationing of care or “death panels.” Instead, promote private, patient-centered healthcare, fight fraud and waste, provide vouchers to underprivileged citizens, cut govt. regulations and incentivize employer coverage. Require legal visitors to carry health insurance and seek reimbursement from foreign governments for medical costs incurred by their citizens here illegally.

NATIONAL SECURITY

With regard to America's foreign policy, which view most closely resembles yours: A) The United States should intervene whenever freedom is threatened. B) The United States should selectively help countries trying to grow democracy and fight tyranny. C) The United States has become too involved in others' policies and should remain focused on issues regarding our own sovereignty unless in imminent danger. D) The United States should stay out of foreign conflicts completely.

I lean toward C. Personally, I would prefer D, but complete disengagement is not pragmatic in today’s interconnected world. America should avoid unnecessary foreign conflicts and put our sovereignty and interests first. We should intervene only when there is a clear and serious threat to our national security or vital national interests.

The Chinese Communist Party poses serious military, cyber security, intellectual property, and global economic threats to the United States.

Strongly Agree

Yes. The Chinese Communist Party poses a serious threat to the U.S. and global stability through its military, cyber, economic, and intellectual-property activities. China’s dominance of rare-earth minerals and pressure on Taiwan, a critical semiconductor hub, are major concerns. Short-term diplomacy must avoid economic disruption, but long term, America must substantially reduce its strategic dependence on China.

Is the United States' relationship with Israel important, and if so why?

Absolutely. Israel is a vital strategic ally of the United States in the Middle East and a vibrant democracy in a volatile region. Our partnership strengthens intelligence sharing, counterterrorism, defense technology, cybersecurity, and regional stability. A strong Israel also helps deter hostile regimes and terrorist organizations. Supporting Israel strengthens America’s security interests while promoting peace through strength.

Islamic terrorism is a threat to the United States' national security.

Strongly Agree

America on eggshells. Yes. Radical Islamist terrorism remains a national-security threat, including the risk of homegrown radicalization. America must confront that threat without compromising the First Amendment rights of Muslims or any other Americans. Religious freedom protects every faith, but no religious doctrine — including Sharia — can supersede the U.S. Constitution or be imposed through government on others.

IMMIGRATION

Who should be allowed to immigrate to the U.S. and under what circumstances?

From the Mayflower to my own journey and millions after me, America is a land of immigrants. But immigration must be legal, merit- and skill-based, and focused on people who can contribute, work, and embrace American values. My campaign slogan sums it up: “Fighting for the land of the free, NOT freebies.” America should welcome those seeking freedom and opportunity — not government dependency.

I support the existence of sanctuary cities to protect undocumented persons.

Strongly Disagree

Absolutely not. I strongly support ICE and enforcement of our immigration laws. I came through the front door, followed the legal process, and earned my U.S. citizenship — an absolute honor. Sanctuary policies undermine the rule of law. Those here illegally must be returned to their home countries, and immigrants seeking entry must be thoroughly vetted to protect Americans from criminal and security threats.

EDUCATION

I support eliminating the U.S. Department of Education and giving control back to states and communities.

Strongly Agree

Absolutely. Education is primarily a state and local responsibility. Washington bureaucrats should not dictate how local schools teach. We must end ZIP-code segregation: an underprivileged child’s future should not depend on an address. Provide school vouchers so funding follows the child, break the education monopoly, and empower parents to choose the school that best serves their child.

Foreign governments should be prohibited from funding American education.

Strongly Agree

Absolutely. Foreign governments should not be allowed to buy influence in American education through donations or endowments. Why would a foreign government spend billions educating Americans instead of its own citizens? Such funding can create leverage over universities, research, faculty, and campus priorities. American education should serve American students and our national interests—not the political or ideological objectives of foreign governments.

VALUES

Attempts to physically or socially transition a child to the opposite sex constitute child abuse.

Strongly Agree

Children deserve protection while they are still developing physically and emotionally. Because young people continue maturing well into early adulthood, I believe irreversible medical interventions on minors intended to change sex characteristics should be prohibited by law. Growing up involves uncertainty, learning, and change. I invite readers to read my own son’s story at MaxForCongress.com.

Marriage is a God-ordained, sacred and legal union of one man and one woman. No government has the authority to alter this definition.

Strongly Agree

After 31 years and counting with my wonderful wife, I believe marriage between a man and a woman is sacred and rooted in the natural order. God has a purpose for us, and I have found immense fulfillment in living according to that purpose. Our Declaration of Independence itself appeals to the “Laws of Nature and of Nature’s God.” I strongly believe that if we go against the natural grain of life, the result is often confusion, anger, frustration, sadness, and unhappiness.

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

I believe in universal values that sustain humanity: knowledge, intellectual honesty, humility, gratitude, self-control, purity, natural law, truth, patience, service, forgiveness, and righteous prosperity without envy or exploitation. I believe in Karma—that our actions have consequences—and personal accountability before God. These principles guide me toward a disciplined, purposeful, and compassionate life.

ELECTIONS AND VOTING

People should be able to vote without photo identification.

Strongly Disagree

That’s a no-brainer. State-issued photo IDs must be mandatory for elections to verify a person’s identity and citizenship. A nation is a nation of citizens, and its laws are put in place to protect those citizens. If lawbreakers, those in the country illegally or felons who are legally ineligible to vote, are allowed to vote, we are essentially asking the foxes to guard the henhouse.

EQUALITY

Biological males should not be allowed to participate in women's sports or occupy biological women's spaces whether it be bathrooms, locker rooms, sorority houses, women's shelters, or prison.

Strongly Agree

God does not make mistakes. Men are generally endowed with greater physical strength, and biological males should not be permitted to use those physical advantages unfairly against women in sports or intrude upon women’s private spaces. Yet Democrat policies have enabled this. The party claims to champion women, but these policies undermine fairness, privacy, dignity, and the physical safety of women and young girls.

ENERGY & ENVIRONMENT

What do you believe is the most reliable energy source that will supply the growing demand for electricity?

Nuclear power—reliable, low-pollution, and cost-effective over the long run. I support all renewable energy sources if developed without taxpayer subsidies and allowed to compete freely, not imposed on Americans through government mandates.

ABOUT YOU

Have you ever been penalized for sexual misconduct in either civil or criminal court? If so, please explain.

NO.

Have you ever been convicted of a felony? If so, please explain.

NO.

When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and religious liberty, which of the following best describes you overall?

Very Conservative

Conservative principles work because they are grounded in natural law and guided by Nature’s God. We are one human family in God’s garden, but greed, covetousness, prejudice, disrespect, and the desire to impose one’s will on others create injustice and imbalance. Our responsibility is to protect liberty, respect every person regardless of race, color, creed, or religion, and preserve the natural order God created.

CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY

Government has a responsibility to protect children from sexual exploitation during online activities.

Strongly Agree

Of course. Government has a responsibility to protect children from online sexual exploitation. I would consider treating smartphones like an age-restricted, potentially addictive product, empowering parents to limit their children’s access. Children could instead use basic “safety phones” for calls and essential communication, reducing harmful online exposure while restoring focus on education and family.

2ND AMENDMENT

What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?

None. Public safety is compromised by people who refuse to obey the law, period. Laws are like locks—they restrain the law-abiding, while criminals determined to break the law will ignore them. The focus should be on - criminals, individuals with mental health issues and dangerous individuals with radical ideologies - not restricting responsible citizens. I support constitutional carry from sea to shining sea and the Second Amendment rights of law-abiding Americans.
