QUESTIONNAIRE
RIGHT TO LIFE
Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?
I believe in the sanctity of human life. Abortions should occur very early, if at all. Afterwards, the only exception should be to save the life of the mother.
Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).
Strongly Agree
If Roe v. Wade is overturned by the US Supreme Court, how far are you willing to go to roll back North Carolina's statutory abortion law that allows abortion up to 20 weeks?
I do not have a specific answer to this question at this time.
I support 'aid in dying' laws which legalize assisted suicide and euthanasia.
Strongly Disagree
Would you support a limitation on chemical abortion that protects women from taking abortion pills without the care and supervision of a qualified physician?
Yes
ECONOMY
The government should do more to close the gap between the working class and the wealthy.
Strongly Disagree
What changes, if any, should be made to the tax code?
I would support a flat tax system.
Taxpayer-funded public education should be guaranteed through college.
Strongly Disagree
I would limit public education support through high school.
RELIGIOUS LIBERTY
Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.
Strongly Disagree
Under what circumstances can government close churches?
None.
What should be the relationship between the church and the state?
The state must not interfere with, nor endorse, specific religious practices.
HEALTHCARE
What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D)Tax-payer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be de-funded.
C and D. Taxpayer funded healthcare programs should gradually be reduced in favor of effective market-based systems.
Under what circumstances (if any) should a government, school, or employer be allowed to require vaccinations?
None.
EDUCATION
States should allow parents to use the Opportunity Scholarship Program to fund private school for their children.
Strongly Agree
The money should follow the child. Families should determine how their child is educated.
In what situations does a parent not have the right to know what their child is being taught in public school?
Parents have the absolute right to know exactly what their child is being taught in every public school situation.
When should parents be restricted from speaking in school board meetings?
Parents cannot be restricted from speaking in school board meetings. As citizens, they have a constitutional right to petition their government officials. School boards are obligated to specify "reasonable" time, manner, and place opportunities for parents to speak. School boards have no control over the subject matter raised by parents.
VALUES
Judeo-Christian values established a framework of morality which is necessary for our system of limited government.
Strongly Agree
I support adding gender identity as a specially protected class in non-discrimination laws.
Strongly Disagree
I agree with Critical Race Theory (CRT) which asserts that the institutions in the United States are fundamentally racist.
Strongly Disagree
Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.
I am a Christian.
ELECTIONS AND VOTING
People should be able to vote without photo identification.
Strongly Disagree
What laws would you propose to change present voting practices?
1) Require government issued photo identification; 2) Require paper ballots; 3) Limit ballot drop-off locations and times; 4) Restrict mail-in and absentee ballots to those specifically requested by voters; 5) Require the signatures of two witnesses for each mail in or absentee ballot, and 5) Substantially restrict and/or reduce the ability of state election boards or other government agencies or courts to intervene in elections.
EQUALITY
Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?
No. Although racism exists among some individuals, it is not systemic in the United States. The only substantive threat to "domestic security" from racism comes from academic and other "woke" institutions who promote Critical Race Theory and/or "equity." Under these Marxist doctrines people are judged by the color of their skin instead of the content of their character.
ENERGY & ENVIRONMENT
Which comes closest to your view? A) Stricter environmental laws and regulations cost too many jobs and hurt the economy. B) Stricter environmental laws and regulations are worth the cost.
A.
ABOUT YOU
What do you think is the general purpose of government?
To ensure constitutional rights and protect its citizens.
When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and religious liberty, which of the following best describes you overall?
Conservative
I worked on Ronald Reagan's 1980 campaign team for nearly two years. I admired his civility and tenacity. My brand of conservativism closely reflects his.

Have you ever been convicted of a felony or been penalized in either civil or criminal court for sexual misconduct? If so, please explain.
No.
What else would you like voters to know about you, including your legislative priorities?
I believe that: 1) The Second Amendment guarantees our rights. 2) The First Amendment is indispensable in a free Republic. 3) School Choice is best for every family, regardless of zip code. 4) Term Limits are a common-sense check on arrogant politicians. 5) Election integrity, including Voter ID, is essential to our democracy. 6) A secure border keeps every American safe. 7) Backing the Police keeps our communities safe. 8) Businesses and family farms deliver good jobs and a sound economy. 9) Transparency by elected officials defeats corruption. 10) God, family, and country are the foundations of our civilization.
CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY
Police officers should be personally immune from prosecution for conduct consistent with departmental policy (qualified immunity) while on duty.
Strongly Agree
I support redirecting funds from police departments to mental health and community programs.
Strongly Disagree
2ND AMENDMENT
What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?
No restrictions on law-abiding citizens - "the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed"

Strongly Disagree
