QUESTIONNAIRE
RIGHT TO LIFE
Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?
I support all humans right to life from conception to natural death. With that if there is some circumstance that could be objectively proven that the mother WILL die if she remains pregnant, I may consider hearing the reasoning. I say that because we have to be very cautious even when people make “life of the mother” exceptions for abortion, one could try to use mental and emotional reasons, which are not acceptable reasons for an abortion.
Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).
Strongly Agree
I support 'aid in dying' laws which legalize assisted suicide and euthanasia.
Strongly Disagree
ECONOMY
What changes, if any, should be made to the tax code?
The office I am running for can’t impact the tax code. So my response is limited. However, we should remove income taxes in our states. We should only pay taxes on the things we buy, except food. I also have concerns regarding how much property taxes some cities charge, which could cause people to lose their home.
What government spending would you reduce in order to balance the budget?
All of it. Most of the “things our government spends money on, need to be eliminated. For example, the Secretary of State brings in $2.9 billion a year in revenue, only 7% goes to running the Michigan Department of State, the other 93% a variety of “other” things in our government. Public safety, and operations necessary for liberty for example elections, NECESSARY (and that needs to be tightly defined) government operations, education, road maintenance, and the systems REQUIRED to maintain those three needs should be all our taxes pay for. However our society has become dependent on a bloated and financially irresponsible government so the weaning process will be painful.
Taxpayer-funded public education should be guaranteed through college.
Disagree
K-12, I support tax payer paid education. After high school individuals should pay for themselves.
RELIGIOUS LIBERTY
Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.
Strongly Disagree
Under what circumstances can government close churches?
None.
HEALTHCARE
What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D)Tax-payer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be de-funded.
C) I currently support keeping tax-payer paid healthcare, for children and seniors, until we develop non-taxpayer paid solutions for healthcare.
Under what circumstances (if any) should a government, school, or employer be allowed to require vaccinations?
None.
NATIONAL SECURITY
What should the United States do to help eradicate the threat of Islamic terrorism?
We can never fully eradicate any form of terrorism. When one groups efforts, are stopped another group will pop-up. The goal is to Constitutionally monitor potential threats, also if any person or group is convicted of terrorism, or their needs to be a very strict penalty. Also we need to close our southern border. Our southern border being open is not an immigration issue, but a matter of national security. If we don’t know who is entering our country, and what their intentions are we open our citizens up to danger.
I support the Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement to pressure Israel to withdraw from occupied territories, remove the separation barrier in the West Bank, allow full equality for Arab-Palestinian citizens of Israel, and promote the rights of Palestinian refugees.
Strongly Disagree
IMMIGRATION
The U.S. should do more to physically secure the southern border.
Strongly Agree
Who should be allowed to immigrate to the U.S. and under what circumstances?
The only people who should be restricted from immigrating to the US are those who have engaged in violent crimes, drug related offenses, or served in the military for a nation we are at war with. Other than that, I have no issue with people being able to immigrate here as residents, after extensive interviews and background checks. The issue is becoming a citizen, that needs to a very rigorous process. Also people who immigrate here, should not receive government paid/sponsored benefits (free food, housing, medical care, cash etc).
EDUCATION
I support school choice, including voucher programs, tax credits, charter schools, private schools, and home schools.
Strongly Agree
VALUES
Judeo-Christian values established a framework of morality which is necessary for our system of limited government.
Strongly Agree
I support adding gender identity as a specially protected class in non-discrimination laws.
Strongly Disagree
Marriage is a God-ordained, sacred and legal union of one man and one woman. No government has the authority to alter this definition
Strongly Agree
I agree with Critical Race Theory (CRT) which asserts that the institutions in the United States are fundamentally racist.
Strongly Disagree
Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.
As a Christian I'm held accountable to the Lord for my actions. My world view is seen through the lens of my Christianity. It determines MY actions. It demands that I treat all people with love and understanding.
ELECTIONS AND VOTING
People should be able to vote without photo identification.
Strongly Disagree
What laws would you propose to change present voting practices?
We currently have good laws on the books. They just need to be followed, for example signature verification on absentee ballots. I would tighten up chain of custody on our ballots.
EQUALITY
Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?
Racism is a threat because it is a tool used by those who want to divide us.
Reparations should be given to people on the basis of race.
Strongly Disagree
ENERGY & ENVIRONMENT
Which comes closest to your view? A) Stricter environmental laws and regulations cost too many jobs and hurt the economy. B) Stricter environmental laws and regulations are worth the cost.
A.
I support the use of hydraulic fracking to extract oil and natural gas resources.
Strongly Agree
ABOUT YOU
What do you think is the general purpose of government?
The powers given to the government were meant to be limited in nature. Protect our borders, our citizens
When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and religious liberty, which of the following best describes you overall?
Very Conservative
Please provide publicly available information, including interviews and media reports, validating your answer to the previous question (other than your website).
I have at least 6 interviews on Steve Bannon's War Room that back up my views. A podcast on John Soloman's show. You can see many of my interviews on my Rumble channel https://rumble.com/kristinakaramo
Have you ever been convicted of a felony or been penalized in either civil or criminal court for sexual misconduct? If so, please explain.
No
What else would you like voters to know about you, including your legislative priorities?
My goal is to provide customer focused service at our branch offices and to restore confidence in our elections systems. Without secure elections we lose our voice in determining our Republic.
CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY
Police officers should be personally immune from prosecution for conduct consistent with departmental policy (qualified immunity) while on duty.
Agree
I support redirecting funds from police departments to mental health and community programs.
Disagree
2ND AMENDMENT
What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?
Criminals should not be able to own guns. Anyone who has had a PPO issued against them should not be able to own a gun.
Victims of gun violence should be able to sue firearms dealers and manufacturers.
Disagree
