QUESTIONNAIRE

RIGHT TO LIFE

Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).

Strongly Agree

I support the Hyde Amendment. Allowing federal funds to go to abortion providers forces the American taxpayer to become complicit in the murdering of the unborn.

I support 'aid in dying' laws which legalize assisted suicide and euthanasia.

Strongly Disagree

I believe in the intrinsic value of human life, the sovereignty of God and the need for health care workers to do no harm. Life is sacred from conception to natural death.

Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?

I am an abolitionist and believe all abortion is murder. The right to life is not a freedom granted to us by man or the government. On the contrary, the United States was founded on the belief that the laws of nature and God endowed us with certain inherent and inalienable rights, the foremost being the right to life. As congressman, I will be a voice for the voiceless and fight for every unborn child’s right to life. I’m eager to join the fight and work alongside my colleagues in Congress to transform our culture of death into a culture that welcomes life.

ECONOMY

Redistribution of income is needed to lessen the gap between the wealthy and working classes.

Strongly Disagree

Redistribution wealth is not necessary. What is necessary is for able bodied Americans to get back to work. More welfare recipients need to be moved off the welfare rolls. Welfare was never meant to serve as a way of life or as a generational “right” for the self-proclaimed impoverished. While we must remain empathic to those “truly” in need, we need to run from the most recent Biden Administrations notions of “welfare replacing work” for able bodied individuals.

The government should cut spending in order to reduce the national debt.

Strongly Agree

The Republican Party of late has enjoyed using the words “fiscal responsibility” as a tagline but are far from following through on this once economic premise of the Republican platform as most recently indicated by the passage of past and current Biden infrastructure bills with the help of Republicans. When I am in Washington, I will fight to decrease government spending and I welcome accountability by the CD8 constituency on this issue.

What changes, if any, should be made to the tax code?

I will • Oppose all efforts to increase the marginal income tax rates for individuals and/or businesses • Oppose any net reduction or elimination of reductions and credits unless matched dollar for dollar by further reducing tax rates.

RELIGIOUS LIBERTY

Religious liberty is at risk in the United States and deserves the highest level of protection in the law.

Strongly Agree

The United States Constitution guarantees Freedom of Religion, not from religion. To many of the founders, the “freedom of religion” imbued within the fabric of our founding was one of two extremes; the freedom to faithfully practice the Christian religion and pursue the virtue of the Christian faith, or the freedom from the individual to practice one’s liberty outside of the state. However, I believe that free exercise lies somewhere in the middle of these nuanced approaches.

Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.

Strongly Disagree

To force individuals/businesses to provide services that go against their personal moral or religious beliefs is a direct assault on religious liberty guaranteed in the Constitution. Practically speaking, the free exercise of religion covers the conscientious objection of a cake-maker to make a gay wedding cake, a religious small business to cover birth control in health insurance policies, and the ability of a Christian to deny service to those acting incongruent to their Christian convictions

What should be the relationship between the church and the state?

Our nation is, by the very virtue of its founding, an intrinsically Christian nation. This nation must be the guarantor of the freedom of conscience given to all humans by God, allowing the expression of religion and exercise thereof. However, in all cases where so-called freedom of conscience violates the observable, objective moral truths that transcend distinction and constitute the Judeo-Christian ethic, the Constitution, the voters, and the government must err on the side of favoritism to the Christian religion.

HEALTHCARE

Under what circumstances (if any) should a government, school, or employer be allowed to require vaccinations?

The federal government does not hold an enumerated power under the US Constitution to mandate vaccinations, as this is considered a police power reserved to the various States, or the people under the 10th Amendment. In that circumstance, the federal government holds no authority over the citizens of the various States absent statutory authority under the spending clause or commerce clause of the US Constitution. Under the principles of federalism, the States that consider exercising this police power should do so only in the rarest of circumstances in extreme cases of emergency with excessive mortality rates that are considered true public health emergencies. Regardless, whether mandatory vaccinations are considered from a government, private employer, or school, religious and medical liberty should be recognized in all cases, consistent with the US Constitution and Title VII of the Civil Rights Act, and reasonable accommodations should be respected as a foundational element of our free civil society.

What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D)Tax-payer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be de-funded.

C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. Congress has undermined the 10th amendment by nefariously using the spending clause to undermine the sovereignty of the states by creating large government programs that make the states beholden to the federal government. I believe in cutting the bureaucracy out of healthcare and increasing consumer choice.

NATIONAL SECURITY

With regard to America's foreign policy, which view most closely resembles yours: A) The United States should intervene whenever freedom is threatened. B) The United States should selectively help countries trying to grow democracy and fight tyranny. C) The United States has become too involved in others' policies and should remain focused on issues regarding our own sovereignty unless in imminent danger. D) The United States should stay out of foreign conflicts completely.

C) The United States has become too involved in others' policies and should remain focused on issues regarding our own sovereignty unless in imminent danger. I have served 13 years active duty in the United States Navy and continue to serve my country in the Navy Select Reserves in the Navy Security Law Unit. We should only intervene in foreign wars when it is in the direct interest of the National Security of the United States, otherwise we should be hands off.

I support the Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement to pressure Israel to withdraw from occupied territories, remove the separation barrier in the West Bank, allow full equality for Arab-Palestinian citizens of Israel, and promote the rights of Palestinian refugees.

Strongly Disagree

Israel is our strongest ally in the Middle East. I whole heartedly support Israel as she defends her right to exist as a sovereign nation. In congress I will continue to promote placing considerable importance on the maintenance of a close and supportive relationship between the United States and Israel. God’s Word contains a clear and absolute, timeless guarantee relative to the Abrahamic Promise of Genesis 12:3, “And I will bless those who bless you, and the one who curses you I will curse.”

The Chinese Communist Party poses serious military, cyber security, intellectual property, and global economic threats to the United States.

Strongly Agree

The CCP is on the rise around the globe. The CCP ideals of marxism and socialism has infiltrated our public education system, our media, and many of our government institutions.

What should the United States do to help eradicate the threat of Islamic terrorism?

As a veteran of Iraq and Afghanistan that has worked on some of the most complex national security issues this nation has faced regarding Islamic terrorism, I have firsthand knowledge of the threat caused by fanatical zealots. The United States must use all elements of national power, diplomacy, information warfare, military power, and economic authority to combat this threat whether it stems from state actors or non-state actors. While we should not intervene with large scale operations, a whole of government approach to secure our border, pressure nations that harbor Islamic terrorists, and to designate such groups as Foreign Terrorists Organizations under Title 8 U.S.C. § 1189, without regard for political correctness, will provide the tools necessary to eliminate this threat.

IMMIGRATION

The U.S. should do more to physically secure the southern border.

Strongly Agree

This is no "Trumps Wall", it is the people's wall. We must continue building the wall to defend our citizenry from the criminal element and terrorists in the name of National Defense.

State and federal funds shall be denied to any public or private entity, such as a sanctuary city, that is not in compliance with immigration laws.

Strongly Agree

Who should be allowed to immigrate to the U.S. and under what circumstances?

I whole heartedly support LEGAL immigration and am against any type of amnesty for those who have entered our sovereign nation illegally.

VALUES

Sexual orientation and gender identity should be protected classes in non-discrimination laws.

Strongly Disagree

I agree with Critical Race Theory (CRT) which asserts that the institutions in the United States are fundamentally racist.

Strongly Disagree

Critical Race Theory is a contagion that has grown pervasive in our schools, places of employment and military. CRT is rooted in Marxism and is a threat to our communities and families. CRT seeks to perpetuate new power structures based on identity politics and radicalization of our youth and military by imposing unwarranted feelings of guilt, self-loathing, and reverse racism toward their fellow man.

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

Praying and scripture is very important to me, and it guides my decision making process, but also allows me to deal with unexpected surprises, disappointments, or victories. God is in control.God, family, and country. I believe integrity and character matter. As a Naval Oicer, trust, honor, and loyalty are key to my personal value system. I believe in honoring your family, and respecting yourself. I believe in being virtuous, and leading by example in all matters. I believe when making a mistake, you own it with extreme accountability, and learn from mistakes.

ELECTIONS AND VOTING

People should be able to vote without photo identification.

Strongly Disagree

We must regain voter trust. The right to vote is at the most basic of our civil rights, while secure and fair elections are the cornerstone by which that civil right rests. Every American citizen should be allowed to feel confident in knowing that their vote counts. Voter fraud seeks to silence the voice of the citizenry.

What laws would you propose to change present voting practices?

I will encouraging every state to adopt Voter I.D. legislation, encourage the increased protections for critical election infrastructure (polling places, storage facilities.) and safeguarding electoral management systems.

EQUALITY

Reparations should be given to people on the basis of race.

Did not answer

Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?

Only when weaponized; weaponized race warfare is a divide and conquer tenant used by the left as a blueprint for social transformation of American civil society.

ENERGY & ENVIRONMENT

I support the use of hydraulic fracking to extract oil and natural gas resources.

Strongly Agree

Which comes closest to your view? A) Stricter environmental laws and regulations cost too many jobs and hurt the economy. B) Stricter environmental laws and regulations are worth the cost.

A) Stricter environmental laws and regulations cost too many jobs and hurt the economy.

ABOUT YOU

When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and religious liberty, which of the following best describes you overall?

Very Conservative

I am a staunch constitutional and unapologetic republican. I am consistent and honest. I have executive leadership experience and exhibit daily the necessary organizational skills, and communication skills needed to adequately represent the constituency of CD8. I have the fortitude and courage to speak up for what it right and to pursue these right outcomes in defense of liberty.

Please provide publicly available information, including interviews and media reports, validating your answer to the previous question (other than your website).

https://fb.watch/abrMqaGxVx/

Have you ever been convicted of a felony or been penalized in either civil or criminal court for sexual misconduct? If so, please explain.

NO

What else would you like voters to know about you, including your legislative priorities?

I would like to introduce meaningful and impactful legislation on border security, USC Title 8 reform,, and requiring remittance for the transfer of wealth from illegal aliens to foreign countries. I would like to investigate the relationship between the democrat party and social media platforms that stifle the free speech of Americans at the behest of the government.

CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY

Police officers should be personally immune from prosecution for conduct consistent with departmental policy (qualified immunity) while on duty.

Strongly Agree

I BACK THE BLUE! Officers and public officials need qualified immunity to carry out their jobs. Public officials, and particularly police officers, perform vital tasks that may require split-second decisions in stressful circumstances. Taking away qualified immunity could lead to officers being hesitant to act when it is most needed. Officers do not have absolute immunity, and they can be held liable when they violate a clearly established constitutional right.

I support redirecting funds from police departments to mental health and community programs.

2ND AMENDMENT

What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?

Very limited, only when convicted of a violent felony, and there should be a mechanism to gain back rights for self-protection and hunting in a realistic and streamlined manner. Law abiding citizens should be able to own, possess, and use firearms with no government restrictions.

Victims of gun violence should be able to sue firearms dealers and manufacturers.
