OTHER INFORMATION

QUESTIONNAIRE

RIGHT TO LIFE

Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).

Strongly Agree

Thanks to the sonogram we can see babies in the womb as they move, stretch, turn over, react to pain. Many women have thankfully chosen life over abortion - or what Planned Parenthood callously calls a "medical procedure"- after seeing their unborn baby through a sonogram.

I support 'aid in dying' laws which legalize assisted suicide and euthanasia.

Strongly Disagree

Life is a gift from God - He determines the days of our life. I disagree with anyone taking an innocent life. This is different than a "DNR - do not resuscitate" order.

Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?

None. Life is precious. An abortion is taking the life of the most innocent in our society - the unborn.

ECONOMY

Redistribution of income is needed to lessen the gap between the wealthy and working classes.

Strongly Disagree

Government only redistributes wealth since government does not create wealth. I believe that the best social program is a job. Protect free markets and jobs will proliferate. When welfare became the province of government instead of the church, the intent was lost and welfare growth insued.

The government should cut spending in order to reduce the national debt.

Strongly Agree

We don't have a revenue problem, we have a spending problem. The issue is that every government program has a constituency fighting efforts to decrease their budgets. Cutting spending is the answer, but not at the expense of Social Security and Medicare. Unlike government agencies that are protected by lobbyists, waste has no constituency, so eradicating it from the federal budget is where we begin. In addition, we need to stop big pharma and big tech from buying votes from politicians.

What changes, if any, should be made to the tax code?

Stop U.S.-based multinational corporations from hiding behind tax havens, then spending their savings on lobbying Congress. Stop giving tax exemptions to the powerful at the expense of the individual taxpayers. Keep the corporate tax rate as low as possible (after stopping the tax haven dodge). Institute a revenue cap and rein in the Federal Reserve's ability to flood the market with money.

RELIGIOUS LIBERTY

Religious liberty is at risk in the United States and deserves the highest level of protection in the law.

Strongly Agree

The separation of church and state was instituted to protect the church from the state, not give the state power over the church.

Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.

Strongly Disagree

What should be the relationship between the church and the state?

Freedom OF religion is NOT freedom FROM religion. The state has very little authority over freedom of religion, although the Johnson Amendment keeps the church from fully participating in the public square as it should. In order for the federal government to reign supreme, the Judeo-Christian foundations of our nation would have to be destroyed, and that is what we are seeing attempted.

HEALTHCARE

Under what circumstances (if any) should a government, school, or employer be allowed to require vaccinations?

None. They have no constitutional authority. The IV and the XIII Amendments protect against mandates.

What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D)Tax-payer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be de-funded.

The options offered do not address my option: a safety net for only the less fortunate should remain. I realize that every option will be subject to waste and fraud and every effort to cut fraud and waste must be made. Medicaid and Medicare should not treat non-citizens. We must insist on transparency of medical costs across the industry, and strongly encourage the church to take the reins for domestic welfare.

NATIONAL SECURITY

With regard to America's foreign policy, which view most closely resembles yours: A) The United States should intervene whenever freedom is threatened. B) The United States should selectively help countries trying to grow democracy and fight tyranny. C) The United States has become too involved in others' policies and should remain focused on issues regarding our own sovereignty unless in imminent danger. D) The United States should stay out of foreign conflicts completely.

C), but it does not address the complexity of national security. Allies are important. America needs allies who share our values, including liberty and human rights. Always act in America's best interests.

I support the Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement to pressure Israel to withdraw from occupied territories, remove the separation barrier in the West Bank, allow full equality for Arab-Palestinian citizens of Israel, and promote the rights of Palestinian refugees.

Strongly Disagree

If America ever turns our back on Israel, we do so at our peril! We can disagree with specific polices of the Israeli government, but we cannot abandon Israel. Israel ceases to be a Jewish national if all separation is removed. We should demand that the surrounding nations deal with their own Palestinian refugee issues if they are concerned about the human cost of the issue.

The Chinese Communist Party poses serious military, cyber security, intellectual property, and global economic threats to the United States.

Strongly Agree

Absolutely. They steal what they cannot develop on their own.

What should the United States do to help eradicate the threat of Islamic terrorism?

Go after their funding. Use diplomatic and economic pressure on countries who provide sanctuary and arms for terrorists. Use military power judiciously to attack known terrorist leaders and locations.

IMMIGRATION

The U.S. should do more to physically secure the southern border.

Strongly Agree

Since Washington politicians failed to complete the border wall, I am proud of the fact that Texas is taking the initiative to finishing it. Those crossing our southern border pose an existential threat to our republic. We cannot have an open borders policy and a welfare state - that is not a sovereign nation.

State and federal funds shall be denied to any public or private entity, such as a sanctuary city, that is not in compliance with immigration laws.

Strongly Agree

Who should be allowed to immigrate to the U.S. and under what circumstances?

People with specific training and skills that serve the national interests of the United States. Stop the influx of people who will take jobs for lower salaries.

VALUES

Sexual orientation and gender identity should be protected classes in non-discrimination laws.

Strongly Disagree

I agree with Critical Race Theory (CRT) which asserts that the institutions in the United States are fundamentally racist.

Strongly Disagree

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

I am a follower of Jesus, God in flesh. His sacrifice on the cross paid the price for my sin and made me a child of His. The Bible is my guide for life in belief and action. Every life is equally valuable.

ELECTIONS AND VOTING

People should be able to vote without photo identification.

Strongly Disagree

What laws would you propose to change present voting practices?

Require photo ID, require paper ballot (at least backup), scrub voter rolls, do not allow same-day registration, and do NOT federalize election processes.

EQUALITY

Reparations should be given to people on the basis of race.

Strongly Disagree

Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?

No. Only if allowed to threaten the rule of law and treat some classes of citizens differently under the law.

ENERGY & ENVIRONMENT

I support the use of hydraulic fracking to extract oil and natural gas resources.

Strongly Agree

Which comes closest to your view? A) Stricter environmental laws and regulations cost too many jobs and hurt the economy. B) Stricter environmental laws and regulations are worth the cost.

A)

I support redirecting funds from police departments to mental health and community programs.

Strongly Disagree
