QUESTIONNAIRE

RIGHT TO LIFE

Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).

Strongly Agree

I support 'aid in dying' laws which legalize assisted suicide and euthanasia.

Strongly Disagree

Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?

In case of incest, rape, and the life of the mother.

iVoterGuide Notes:

Candidate notified iVoterGuide.com that her answer should have included, " "I am always going to weigh in on the side of life. This is a core principle for me, that life and every individual, no matter their beginnings, belong here and have something of great value to contribute and deserve the opportunity to live and have society benefit from their very presence."

RELIGIOUS LIBERTY

Religious liberty is at risk in the United States and deserves the highest level of protection in the law.

Agree

Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.

Strongly Disagree

What should be the relationship between the church and the state?

The U.S. was founded on Judeo-Christian values. Freedom of religion does not mean Freedom FROM religion.

NATIONAL SECURITY

With regard to America's foreign policy, which view most closely resembles yours: A) The United States should intervene whenever freedom is threatened. B) The United States should selectively help countries trying to grow democracy and fight tyranny. C) The United States has become too involved in others' policies and should remain focused on issues regarding our own sovereignty unless in imminent danger. D) The United States should stay out of foreign conflicts completely.

I’m for strengthening alliances while putting American interests first. We must reward our friends and punish our foes, not the other way around. We should stand with our allies for freedom. We cannot appease our enemies in the hopes it will entice them to change. At the same time, it is foolhardy to believe that what goes on overseas does not impact us here at home.

I support the Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement to pressure Israel to withdraw from occupied territories, remove the separation barrier in the West Bank, allow full equality for Arab-Palestinian citizens of Israel, and promote the rights of Palestinian refugees.

Strongly Disagree

I reject the Boycott, Divest, and Sanction (BDS) platform, which provides the basis for advancing anti-Semitism, and a phased plan for Israel’s destruction through its delegitimization and demonization, and by applying double-standards. Congress must pass binding anti-BDS legislation, defining BDS as anti-Semitic, with penalties for engaging in discriminatory action.

The Chinese Communist Party poses serious military, cyber security, intellectual property, and global economic threats to the United States.

Strongly Agree

The People’s Republic of China represents the greatest long-term geopolitical threat to the United States. For years, China has pursued a range of economic, military and political policies that have been deeply inimical to American interests. And under its current president, Xi Jinping, the dangers these pose to the United States have grown. Competing with China on multiple fronts to preserve human rights, retain economic dominance, and safeguard global norms is a cardinal imperative.

What should the United States do to help eradicate the threat of Islamic terrorism?

The defeat of Islamic terrorism or political Islamism will only happen when the ideology is defeated within Islam. That requires working with our Middle East allies who have come to realize that support for such extremists created a Frankenstein in their midst. A mixture of tools is required abroad and will differ according to the country in question. Here at home, we must get far more serious about standing up to the Muslim Brotherhood and disrupting the nexus between political Islam and Marxism. There are no shortages of ideological breeding grounds. We should start by being realistic about the threat it poses and stop treating climate change and systemic racism as the greatest threat to America.

HEALTHCARE

Under what circumstances (if any) should a government, school, or employer be allowed to require vaccinations?

I am against government mandated vaccines. It's an issue of individual liberty.

What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D)Tax-payer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be de-funded.

It's not that simple. I'm between B and C.

ECONOMY

Redistribution of income is needed to lessen the gap between the wealthy and working classes.

Strongly Disagree

The government should cut spending in order to reduce the national debt.

Strongly Agree

What changes, if any, should be made to the tax code?

It needs to be simplified.

IMMIGRATION

The U.S. should do more to physically secure the southern border.

Strongly Agree

Without secure borders, we are not a nation-state or a country. We have the responsibility to protect our citizens. When we lock our doors at night, it is not because we hate everyone outside; it is because we cherish those who are inside.

State and federal funds shall be denied to any public or private entity, such as a sanctuary city, that is not in compliance with immigration laws.

Strongly Agree

Who should be allowed to immigrate to the U.S. and under what circumstances?

I believe in a merit-based system that follows a legal process. We should want the world's best and brightest to move here, assimilate, and contribute to the American dream provided they love America and understand and wish to preserve that which makes the U.S. an exceptional country. Secure borders don’t just allow us to take care of our own citizens--they allow citizens, through their votes, to have a voice in how they are governed. When the United States allows a vetted, legal immigrant to pass through its secure border, that is a gift, and a great privilege. Immigrants have a responsibility to integrate into the wider American society, to learn and conduct their business in English, and to strive to be worthy of their citizenship. Illegal immigration is an affront to the rule of law, a threat to our nation’s security, and an invitation to an ever-more balkanized society.

CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY

Police officers should be personally immune from prosecution for conduct consistent with departmental policy (qualified immunity) while on duty.

Agree

I support redirecting funds from police departments to mental health and community programs.

Strongly Disagree

2ND AMENDMENT

What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?

Those with severe mental health issues shouldn't have guns. If we need IDs to vote (and we should), we should need a valid ID to purchase a gun.

Victims of gun violence should be able to sue firearms dealers and manufacturers.

Strongly Disagree

ABOUT YOU

When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and religious liberty, which of the following best describes you overall?

Conservative

Please provide publicly available information, including interviews and media reports, validating your answer to the previous question (other than your website).

Have you ever been convicted of a felony or been penalized in either civil or criminal court for sexual misconduct? If so, please explain.

No

What else would you like voters to know about you, including your legislative priorities?

I will work to represent the people of my district in Washington.

VALUES

Sexual orientation and gender identity should be protected classes in non-discrimination laws.

Choose not to answer

I agree with Critical Race Theory (CRT) which asserts that the institutions in the United States are fundamentally racist.

Strongly Disagree

Critical race theory (CRT) is a toxic ideology to its core that tears at the very fabric that holds the country together. Left unchecked, it will cause irreparable damage to us as a nation.

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

I am a Christian and my love of the Bible informs my life choices.

ELECTIONS AND VOTING

People should be able to vote without photo identification.

Strongly Disagree

It's frankly racist to assume that Black folks are not smart enough to get state-issued identification cards. They are required for so much during the course of any given day. Photo IDs should be required to vote.

What laws would you propose to change present voting practices?

I favor in-person, day-of-election voting in all but the most extreme cases. Election integrity is a key issue. We will lose our country if we do not, as country, trust the results of our elections.

EQUALITY

Reparations should be given to people on the basis of race.

Strongly Disagree

Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?

There are some extreme cases where racism poses a domestic security threat to the United States. However, I would argue that race today is being weaponized by the left and wielded as a tool of political power in a manner never attempted before. For the Left, the connective tissue that runs through every issue is the noxious claim of “systemic racism.” It takes on many forms, such as critical race theory, intersectionality and the false accusation that everything is a relic of the Jim Crow era. There is no debate or defense because the accusation is designed to skip the trial and move straight to sentencing. Black Americans spent decades working to convince wider society that we should be judged by the content of our character, not the color of our skin. Today’s CRT-boosters, in a perverse turning of the tables, are now judging white people by the color of their skin. It is promoting the same kind of racism we fought so hard against before and it is bound to cause a backlash—especially when the definition of racism has been so devalued and emptied of its meaning that anyone who disagrees or even asks questions can be called a racist. Paranoia, instability, and fear is the well from which racism springs. American history is an ongoing struggle for all to take personal responsibility and prevail under freedom, not the distortion and lie that America is exclusively a story of a dominant and oppressive white class keeping everyone else down. We should work toward the day when one’s skin color, race, religion, and gender is an insignificant or irrelevant mark of one’s value and place in society, not the defining characteristic as CRT-boosters seek to do.

ENERGY & ENVIRONMENT

I support the use of hydraulic fracking to extract oil and natural gas resources.

Strongly Agree

Which comes closest to your view? A) Stricter environmental laws and regulations cost too many jobs and hurt the economy. B) Stricter environmental laws and regulations are worth the cost.

I believe that stricter environmental laws and regulations cost too many jobs and hurt the economy. Yes, global warming is a fact but the question is to what extent to humans contribute to it. We cannot re-order our entire economy in pursuit of green dreams while China and other blatant violators of climate agreements can continue business as usual. That is a recipe for America's economic ruin.
