OTHER INFORMATION

QUESTIONNAIRE

RIGHT TO LIFE

Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).

Strongly Agree

Taxpayer money should not be used for abortions under any circumstances and abortion is the primary business of Planned Parenthood. I do not support the use of any taxpayer funds or grants going to planned parenthood.

I support 'aid in dying' laws which legalize assisted suicide and euthanasia.

Strongly Disagree

"Euthanasia is the deliberate cessation of human life. It is a devaluation of God-given life and a slippery slope to what an"acceptable" quality of life is.

Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?

None

ECONOMY

Redistribution of income is needed to lessen the gap between the wealthy and working classes.

Strongly Disagree

Redistribution of income is communism disguised as compassion. I believe a rising tide floats all boats. When businesses and individuals are allowed to keep more of their own money, they spend more, hire more, and pay higher wages. A thriving economy and lower taxation lessen the gap between the wealthy and the working classes.

The government should cut spending in order to reduce the national debt.

Strongly Agree

The government has been spending like a sailor on leave without accountability or adherence to the gold standard. This has led to the drastic inflationary problems we are facing now. If every American householder is forced to balance their budget or face bankruptcy court, the same should be expected of our elected officials.

What changes, if any, should be made to the tax code?

Implement the FairTax and abolish the wasteful, expensive, and inefficient IRS system.

RELIGIOUS LIBERTY

Religious liberty is at risk in the United States and deserves the highest level of protection in the law.

Strongly Agree

Strongly agree. It already has the highest protection but due to lawfare and civil ignorance, the boot on the neck of our freedom and liberty is allowed to remain. The first amendment guarantees the free exercise of religion and this right needs to be protected at all costs. Not only is this in the Constitution but it is clearly a natural right provided to ALL people directly from God.

Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.

Strongly Disagree

The first amendment guarantees the free exercise of religion and this right should not be infringed upon. This means that Americans have the right to refuse to participate in activities (including the provision of services) that oppose their personal morals or religious beliefs.

What should be the relationship between the church and the state?

The state must not be allowed to enforce laws on the church that go against the church’s doctrines or beliefs. The church, however, should have the right to preach or educate its congregation on their rights as citizens and their moral obligation to vote to protect their religious rights.

HEALTHCARE

Under what circumstances (if any) should a government, school, or employer be allowed to require vaccinations?

No circumstances. I believe in total bodily autonomy when it comes to medical choices, except when that bodily autonomy directly infringes on the right to life of another human being, as in the case of abortion.

What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D)Tax-payer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be de-funded.

C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. The federal government should focus on positive education to encourage people to live healthy lives. States should support emergency services. Individuals should be able to pick their plan including buying insurance across state lines.

NATIONAL SECURITY

With regard to America's foreign policy, which view most closely resembles yours: A) The United States should intervene whenever freedom is threatened. B) The United States should selectively help countries trying to grow democracy and fight tyranny. C) The United States has become too involved in others' policies and should remain focused on issues regarding our own sovereignty unless in imminent danger. D) The United States should stay out of foreign conflicts completely.

C) The United States has become too involved in others' policies and should remain focused on issues regarding our own sovereignty unless in imminent danger

I support the Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement to pressure Israel to withdraw from occupied territories, remove the separation barrier in the West Bank, allow full equality for Arab-Palestinian citizens of Israel, and promote the rights of Palestinian refugees.

Strongly Disagree

BDS is antisemitism and is an attempt to delegitimize the sovereignty of the state of Israel.

The Chinese Communist Party poses serious military, cyber security, intellectual property, and global economic threats to the United States.

Strongly Agree

The United States government, many of our sitting Congressman and the occupant of the White House have been turning a blind eye to the danger China poses to our sovereignty. From intellectual theft, the buying up of American farmland, and military advances focused on destroying Western nations, China has been quietly gaining ground while the United States argues about climate change and gender pronouns.

What should the United States do to help eradicate the threat of Islamic terrorism?

America is a free country but migrants should be educated on and required to support certain basics about the American civil system. One of those is the Social Compact. This should be taught to all migrants because it is a basic responsibility that must be upheld regardless of one's religious beliefs. Specific to the threat of terrorism, with a strong national security including control of our borders, much of the threat of terrorism is controlled.

IMMIGRATION

The U.S. should do more to physically secure the southern border.

Strongly Agree

The wall that was almost finished under President Trump should be finished, DHS and ICE should be given the freedom to do their jobs and deport those entering illegally immediately, and modern technological innovations such as drone surveillance should be utilized.

State and federal funds shall be denied to any public or private entity, such as a sanctuary city, that is not in compliance with immigration laws.

Strongly Agree

If a state or city does not comply with federal laws regarding immigration policy, which affects American safety, they should not be rewarded with federal funding. I also believe that states should be more in control of their own budget without support from the Federal government which would reduce the taxation burden on the American people from the Federal government.

Who should be allowed to immigrate to the U.S. and under what circumstances?

I believe in the legal immigration of individuals with skills and education that bring value to America and to the American economy.

VALUES

Sexual orientation and gender identity should be protected classes in non-discrimination laws.

Strongly Disagree

Sexual orientation and gender identity are personal choices, not immutable characteristics or ethnic ancestry. They are also apparently subject to change based on the thinking of some. As such, they should not be a protected class.

I agree with Critical Race Theory (CRT) which asserts that the institutions in the United States are fundamentally racist.

Strongly Disagree

Like every nation on the face of the earth, the United States has made its share of mistakes. However, the roots of faith and the innate goodness of most Americans have made this one of the least racist countries in the world where every person, regardless of race, religion, or ethnicity has a chance to succeed. CRT is regressive teaching and racist theory and must not be allowed, especially in schools.

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

I am a Bible-believing Christian. My faith in Jesus Christ has formed my opinions and values and I am unashamed to proclaim Him as my Lord and Savior. Jesus is our Savior and His work on the cross is the pinnacle of the Christian faith and the avenue through which we experience our highest joy.

ELECTIONS AND VOTING

People should be able to vote without photo identification.

Strongly Disagree

Countries with far fewer resources than the US have enforced photo identification laws to protect their election system. Photo identification makes elections freer and fairer for all.

What laws would you propose to change present voting practices?

Primarily in person voting with ID on a voting holiday with unique ballots assigned to each person and the collection of ballots by precinct committee officers.

EQUALITY

Reparations should be given to people on the basis of race.

Strongly Disagree

All nations have made mistakes in the past. We cannot move forward as a people if we are continuously looking behind. Every race now has the chance to raise themselves through hard work and education.

Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?

No, it is not. In every part of this great nation, people of all colors and races work together in every field of life. While there may be a few racist individuals in the country, it is by no means a threat to our nation in any way. The focus on this non-existent racism is a ploy of the Left to frighten and control minority communities in order to hold on to a voting block that is rapidly realizing that they have been deceived by their party.

ENERGY & ENVIRONMENT

I support the use of hydraulic fracking to extract oil and natural gas resources.

Strongly Agree

The United States has enough shale reserves for over 100+ years and does not need to be going hat in hand to Saudi Arabia for our oil needs. Energy independence is a national security issue.

Which comes closest to your view? A) Stricter environmental laws and regulations cost too many jobs and hurt the economy. B) Stricter environmental laws and regulations are worth the cost.

A) Stricter environmental laws and regulations cost too many jobs and hurt the economy.

ABOUT YOU

When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and religious liberty, which of the following best describes you overall?

Very Conservative

Please provide publicly available information, including interviews and media reports, validating your answer to the previous question (other than your website).

This was a video of my platforms that I created for the Okanogan Republican party. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=9kFqAPC9nTQ For more information on my opinions please visit my Youtube channel https://www.youtube.com/c/JerrodSessler

Have you ever been convicted of a felony or been penalized in either civil or criminal court for sexual misconduct? If so, please explain.

NO.

What else would you like voters to know about you, including your legislative priorities?

Deregulation & decentralization. Nothing that has been centralized in DC has improved. We can always control civil responsibilities on our own locally better than in DC. Expose the swamp and the administrative state that force regulations on Americans that do not pass through Congress. We have a lot of laws and policies including the Constitution that need to be upheld. Those need to be enforced.

CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY

Police officers should be personally immune from prosecution for conduct consistent with departmental policy (qualified immunity) while on duty.

Strongly Agree

Police officers have enough to worry about while on the job without having their hands cuffed with policies designed to keep them from doing their job to the best of their abilities and allowing them to protect themselves.

I support redirecting funds from police departments to mental health and community programs.

Strongly Disagree

A strong police force is needed to keep criminals off the street. Redirecting funds from police departments is wordplay for “defunding the police” and I am vehemently against it.

2ND AMENDMENT

What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?

There should be no restrictions on gun ownership. The Second Amendment is sacrosanct in the Constitution and shall not be infringed upon.

Victims of gun violence should be able to sue firearms dealers and manufacturers.

Strongly Disagree

Firearms dealers are not responsible for deranged killers any more than matchbox manufacturers are responsible for arsonists.
